8.5. Staying alive. I would never bingo body shame on an 8.8. Wrong wrong wrong.
I've had the privilege of spending most of my working life supporting people with learning disabilities and I've met many Hells Angels who've been very helpful. One such person whom I asked about it said that he empathised with people with learning disabilities as fellow 'outcasts' from straight society.Yes, some people assume my '59' is a patch when it is a club. Although I belong to a few motorcycle and car clubs they are the only club where people have come to see me since the amputation!
Hopefully no-one would nowadays8.5. Staying alive. I would never bingo body shame on an 8.8. Wrong wrong wrong.
I was once asked to be a “bingo caller.” I have no idea on what the code is any more than CB radio? So I made it up. Lol, let’s just say as I had complaints over the 88 & 11 which were the only two I felt inappropriate that came up? That and “Kelly’s eye?”Hopefully no-one would nowadays

I've never played bingo and I'm not into gambling anyway. What's the point of giving 'names' to numbers? Why don't they just say the numbers?I was once asked to be a “bingo caller.” I have no idea on what the code is any more than CB radio? So I made it up. I thought it was stupid too. Neither do I gamble. I think it’s to help with the call out for the familiars? A little like the police doing VIctor Foxtrot Tango? On a number plate. Just to clarify?I've never played bingo and I'm not into gambling anyway. What's the point of giving 'names' to numbers? Why don't they just say the numbers?
Oh I see! When I was a kid we used to go Margate for our holidays. Whenever I saw bingo games taking place I thought it looked boringI thought it was stupid too. Neither do I gamble. I've always been proud of my fluency with the police alphabet: that's what comes of being brought up on 'The Sweeney'.Oh I see! When I was a kid we used to go Margate for our holidays. Whenever I saw bingo games taking place I thought it looked boring
I’m really no expert on either the police official clarification on the alphabet or this Bingo stuff. But I was brought up round the “bingo culture.” Lol, I thought the remake movie of the Sweeny, alright? But hey, let’s take that one to the other topic.I've always been proud of my fluency with the police alphabet: that's what comes of being brought up on 'The Sweeney'.
I wouldn't be able to cope with anyone re-making 'The Sweeney' 😱I’m really no expert on either the police official clarification on the alphabet or this Bingo stuff. Morbid curiosity. I was pleasantly surprised. It had Ray Winstone as DI Raygan. “Who’s the daddy.”I wouldn't be able to cope with anyone re-making 'The Sweeney' 😱
I guess he'd be the obvious choice - but why bother?Morbid curiosity. I was pleasantly surprised. It had Ray Winstone as DI Raygan. “Who’s the daddy.”
Indeed. Looks like ideas are running out? “Remakes?” Rarely, there is a “gem” that makes you rethink the original.I guess he'd be the obvious choice - but why bother?
I agree. I like the Donald Sutherland version of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' - but that's more a 're-imagining' than a straight re-make.Indeed. Looks like ideas are running out? “Remakes?” Rarely, there is a “gem” that makes you rethink the original.
Hi, sorry, very late view of your post. It's now Oct. Have usually found, very hot weather, results in less insulin, re.T1.I thought it would be interesting to see how people's day had gone before they have tea/evening meal.
I will go first. The heat seems to be affecting me. I had hoped for 7+ or - 1 but got a naughty 10.9 so injected and waiting an hour. These dinosaur insulins take a while to kick in. This is where a Libre would be useful!
“Eyes down for a full house.” Tonight 6.5. Snakes alive.
I really know nothing about Bingo. All I know is it’s a sort of “lottery?” Was asked to do it as a favour as a caller when the “usual guy” couldn’t do it? (Sore throat, bad guts or just hacked off with the boredom?) Then found it really savage that I couldn’t get the “lingo” right? People take this stuff seriously. Though I clearly pronounced the numbers on the balls. They wanted the “legs eleven?” I felt like I’d stumbled into a “cult.”Only went to bingo once on holiday with my parents but I thought it was "Old Age Pension" for 65
Tonight 5.4, wipe the floor, and I had an extra 50gm CHO for physio at lunchtime.
