Before Tea/Evening Meal

Bit scary as I ate at 20:30 but had 70g of carbs and dosed accordingly - already up to 4.2(it was a chicken biriyani though so a bit slowerfor the carbs to get going)

I got that next weekend first thing along with a flu shot. Normally feel useless on the booster myself. The flu one has always historically been OK.

A friend's wife gets knocked out for a week every time by the Covid one. I either get a sore arm or extreme tiredness. The first one (Pfizer) gave me a sore arm. I had bruised the other one heavily earlier in the day when the wheelchair slipped doing a transfer. I had a bad dose (two weeks in bed with low O2) of the Delta variant left me with ongoing side effects including the issues with the right foot.

I have not had a flu jab in a decade. Three years in a row (the only ones I have ever had) I was unwell after and for a longer period each time. After the last one I felt so ill after supper that I was going to ring 999 but zonked out holding my mobile. I woke the next morning feeling ill but not so bad as the previous evening. I was unwell for over a week and not right for over a month. Four years ago (still in hospital after the July amputation) the sister got annoyed when I refused and sent for the consultant! After hearing my history he told her that with my history he would also refuse. My late mother only had one. She refused every time but at 85 in a care home she was given it for her own good. A couple of days later she became ill, was hospitalised and subsequently died. Coincidence - maybe or maybe not!

Evening 6.6 tonight
both jabs done this morning, top of arm is slightly sore from the Covid booster - but otherwise all is OK, will be early to bed tonight, need to get back into a normal tomorrow, ready for back to work on Monday

After getting this morning's highish reading back to 6 -7 range it has climbed to 10.3 this evening. Probably not helped as I did no physio or walking with my frame as I still feel rough from yesterday's Covid booster! :(

And it was a 7.0 for me this fine evening and that was after a lazy day.

I respect your service as a T1 with a years seniority to me. I get away with the covid jabs feeling like a punch in the arm & a stiff neck with a hangover for 24 hours.

Evening 6.0 on the nose on the libra sensor
4.2 on a finger prick test
so it’s probably somewhere in between the 2
but nearer the 4.2 I’m sure as feeling a bit like my levels are going low…

6.6 before tea (but I had had 2 squares of very dark chocolate when I got in from work which might explain that!) and 5.8, two hours after.

And it was a 7.1 for me this fine evening...

Started on an 8.0 before dinner (this latest sensor is a lot more accurate than my last one (changed yesterday) a couple of days before a change - which is a recurring theme, unfortunately) - peaked at 11ish and now coming down - overall happy with that
