Group 7-day waking average?

The gel is quite expensive (though a normal bottle of glyphosate isn’t cheap either, but it does go a long way when diluted). What you can do is make up a solution of the normal glyphosate liquid, put a pair of rubber gloves on, and a pair of old woolly gloves over the top, dip your gloved hands into the mix, and stroke it onto the bindweed carefully, avoiding other leaves. We’ve also untwined bindweed from plants we want to keep, and trained it up a cane, then you can spray it or use the glove method without fear of harming your wanted plants. We had an infestation in our mixed border when we moved in 20 years ago, it took about 5 years to get rid of it, then lo and behold, after a gap of 10 years, we've had a little bit coming up here and there for the past few years.

5.3 first thing.

I was rather annoyed yesterday when I arrived at Specsavers to be told that I wasn't due a sight test until August and that if I wanted one yesterday I would have to pay. As I said to them "well it was you who wrote to me telling me it was overdue and why didn't you query it when I made the appointment". As it happened a friend of mine now works there and she was so delighted to see me that I forgave them and went off to do other errands in town. Including enquiring in Holland and Barrett about Glucosamine for hubby's sore knee that he twisted. They sold me some Glucosamine gel to rub in and he seems to think it's helping already.

Went to the hygienists this morning and came home starving for my lunch, but was unable to eat as my sensor finished and I couldn't get the new sensor that I'd applied last night to start up. Abbott are replacing it, but that's not the point. Luckily I had another which I applied but had to wait an hour before I could get CamAPS working again and dose for my lunch. There are drawbacks to all these HCLs - specially if I'd not had a spare sensor. Though I have to say it is doing quite well in the normal run of things.

Unlike our dopey neighbour who decided to spray just about her whole garden with the stuff and didn't even think about putting polythene up her fence, so in the process killed about a foot of our lawn, a magnificent peony, several other plants and a 4ft high Japanese willow on our side of the fence.

My readings have been all over the place. I have also found if I have slightly heavy carbs with a meal I want more throughout the day. A few days ago in the evening before supper my reading was 1.1 [ obviously rogue) tried another finger 17.1 [ is it the strips]
I did an energetic aquafit class last night. I'm considering joining one in the next town at 9 in the open
Reading was 5.1 and sun is out.

We have the same problem in our garden since we moved here 3 years ago. It's a constant battle using glyphosate and hand weeding. It has even grown through 6 inches
of gravel and under the paving slabs in the patio.😡

Unexpectedly home alone again as our youngest, who's normally here on Thursdays, has been given an extra shift at Tesco. The store suffered a power blackout on Tuesday and had to close after contractors working nearby cut through a cable. They were able to open yesterday but I expect there's still things to do, which is why he's needed. Others too, I expect.

Usual swim later. With it being half-term the Leisure Centre was really busy (and noisy) when I went on Tuesday, although not the main pool as it was set up for lane swimming, and I expect it'll be the same today. Looking forward to the tennis from Roland Garros later, with 5 Brits in action, and then tonight it's the Premier League Darts Final at the O2. A day in front of the TV then.

Ah, that's why I could not shop on Tuesday had to go around the roundabout to Aldi. Everything in a different place that's why I only got half of my shopping on my list!!!!!!
 
Evening!
Very late one today! My phone informs me that I was 4.9 this morning on waking.
We had a fab day out at Stourhead in Wiltshire. It was gorgeously sunny, there was lots to do and the walk around the lake was fantastic.

its evil hubby dug out 2 large bin bags on one side of the garden a week ago and its back again, just left it 2 days because of the rain and its back. we planted some trees to form a hedge and its chocking them.
 
Thought I’d be first today, been awake since 3.45, up since 4.30. Anyhoo, good morning all and 7.7 for me.

It barely stopped raining yesterday, we had a bit of respite at about 5pm, the girls had a mad half hour in the garden, swing ball for the big one and the little one took the paddling pool out of the shed and box of balls, bearing in mind it was very windy it wasn’t long before the pool and balls were flying everywhere! Then it went ominously dark and the next thing they were running about picking up balls and putting them back into the shed, the rain had returned! It’s wet this morning but the BBC weather app informs me it’s going to be a better day. That’s good news as the ponds are full, the water butt is full, and quite frankly we’re sick of the rain now! #neverhappy

Eldest daughter finishes work at 10am, she’s a residential care worker for traumatised children, as long as there wasn’t any “incidents” through the night, lots of paperwork to do if there was, she should be at ours at 10.30 to pick up her girls. Then we can chill, until our next stint of childcare, tomorrow! Baby Rocco tomorrow, middle daughter has to work every fourth Saturday ( she gets a weekday off) and her hubby works Saturdays, so we’re picking up the slack. It’s not for long, 11am start then his big sister, our eldest grandchild, is arriving home from Tenerife in the morning, and picking him up as she’s missed him and wants to see him as soon as she’s home. Then we’re childcare free until next Thursday ( helping with swimming day) as Eden starts an extra day at nursery next week. Zara starts school in September and we can finally see the light at the end of a very long childcare tunnel!** Unless of course one of our three daughters decides to have another child! 😱Are we too old to emigrate to Australia?😛

**except for school holidays, school pickups, sick days and parents going on a date nights!

Morning all. 7.0 for me and i've woke feeling very tired for some reason. Only some cleaning and vacuuming to do today so i might sew/read/nap later. I could do with getting more done in the garden but, although this is my first day this week without seeing anyone or having to go somewhere, i haven't got the energy! Maybe i'll perk up later. Tonight we're going for a curry with some friends we don't get to see much which will be nice. I shall expect a spike, i always do despite pre bolus and splitting doses, but at least we're eating early so i can monitor it and hopefully head off anything too high before bed.

Weather round here is couldy, windy but 21°. I wish the wind would drop, it seems to have been around for days.

After a couple of restless nights I slept for a solid 8 hours last night (haven't done that in years). 🙂
Was 5.6 when I finally surfaced.

Morning all 7.2 for me. I didn't sleep well but that's my fault because I had a long nap yesterday afternoon!
Booked eye test for next Friday, BGs seem quite stable these days and I definitely could do with some new glasses £££££
