Group 7-day waking average?

Morning

8.1 or 5.7 on a different figure, I rechecked as I didn’t have a particularly carby day of eating yesterday. Plans for today include going for a walk, natter and coffee with a friend, followed by more crotchet, current projects are a couple of prem baby blankets that go to a hospital in Paddington and a crotchet along blanket a new section of the pattern is released every Friday.

@Pam123 - congratulations on your HS yesterday

A 6.1 for me today. 🙂

Who’s the latest go to for travel insurance policies Forumites?

I’ve just had ridiculous quotes for annual multi trip including cruises and the USA that ranged from £2,503.84 all the way down to £87.48

The cheapest one didn’t include any cover for cancellation, baggage, curtailment, delays, theft of items, passport loss or damage so I’m not quite sure how that qualifies as insurance for anything!

Congrats @Sharron1 on your HS.

5.9 for me.

Felt awful yesterday- dunno what it was. I started with what I thought was just a bad headache on Friday PM. My clinic room was very hot and lit by fluorescent lights - and my clinic was very busy, so I assumed it was just that. But, it continued into yesterday - accompanied by tight jaw and locked shoulders - I usually get that in the aftermath of a panic attack but this wasn't a panic attack. Ended up sleeping for 3 hours in the middle of day.

Woke up this morning, feeling better so far, so fingers crossed. I want to go across and see my folks, as I was working last weekend and didn’t get across. I'm always careful though about illness. My mum is quite vulnerable after her cancer treatments and her pulmonary embolism a couple of years back.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. 4.8 after a battle all day yesterday to get levels down. In law visits today then home to read my book. Weather a lot cooler than it has been.

@Grannylorraine does it have to be specific yarn or patterns for the prem baby blankets? I have lots of yarn left over from projects but not sure it would be suitable for prem babies. Its all DK.

@Sharron1 congrats on the HS.

@BobbleHat i hope you feel better today.

How about for a bit of fun if people who test in the mornings post their waking levels? I think it would be interesting to see what the average works out at after a week 🙂

I'll start with mine - I was 6.0 when I woke up this morning 🙂

(please don't let me be the only person to enter one! 😉)
4.9 this morning and 7 day fasting average now at 5.5. Now averaging 1300 calories a day and 9 T2 Carb Portions (15 grams). It's always been suggested that Calorie Counting isn't all that relevant for T2s but I have found over the last 33 years that calorie counting works for me because Carbs are, inter alia, restricted by it.

Morning 6.6 today
congrats on your HS @Sharron1also for yours yesterday @Pam123

I haven’t finished the giant jigsaw that is my new office corner just yet, but started it’s construction yesterday evening, it’s actually a bigger jigsaw than I thought it was going to be (with poor instructions) possibly the main unit is over-engineered to make it look more aesthetically pleasing, anyway hopefully it will do it’s job and I’m looking forward to being more organised once it’s all on the wall.

On Friday had a second phone call (I first spoke to her last week) someone my GP had referred me to she’s trying to help me better manage stress and anxiety which after what I went though a few months ago is much needed, we were having a really good chat when a neighbours daughter hammered on the door needing help as they had a water leek.

Have a Super Sunday ForumFriends :D

Not so good 10.1 this morning and teetering on the edge of 10 all night. Must have got the BS level and Insulin balance wrong. Getting older - my neck aches.

But it looks nice out and as half of the family have flown off to Iceland, and one Granddaughter with her father to Georgia we’re going solo today. They’re an adventurous lot, so in contrast we’re going shopping on the bus.

Morning all and it is (so far) a lovely morning - sunny but quite a wind.

I see I didn't post yesterday, hardly srurprising. On Friday I mentioned we'd been invited out for lunch. Our friend served us cooked, unpeeled king prawns and mussels she had cooked in white wine. She did mention she'd had to chuck a lot of mussels out as they hadn't opened/closed. By the evening I was feeling a bit wierd and only managed a slice of toast in lieu of dinner... and was then up until 4 am hogging the en-suite. Fortunately it had abated by last evening and I did manage a bit of dinner, though it looks from my phone as though I didn't give myself any insulin. Nonetheless I was 5.3 this morning.

Been invited to a BBQ this evening, which I am looking forward to. Though how it will pan out with this wind in the tiny front garden which is all the land our friend can lay claim to...(given there will be 8 of us) it will be interesting.

Congratulations to @Sharron1 on your HS today and @Pam123 on yours yesterday.

Be good and have fun people!

I’ve been using Allclear for a while, they aren’t the cheapest, but they aren’t ridiculous either. We use them because they cover ancient wrinklies, and health conditions. OH is late 70s, as is my sister, who I’m travelling with later on in the year, and we all have various co-morbidities.
When I was looking for cover for my sister and I to go to Japan later in the year, a single trip on a comparison site was a couple of grand! I assume that’s their way of saying they really don’t want to cover you!

Morning all. A 5.6 for me this fine sunny day....

A 3am 4, and a 9am 9 so take your pick. I'm a bit warm today with the sun beating down, and so sat in the darkest, shadiest corner of a darkened room as per usual as I have been for the past few days - refreshing. Apparently, it only gets to 22C... something in my blood.

Yesterday, I stayed in for the most, only venturing out to see my Lady picking up her lift to the pictures - Naked Gun 2 1/2 which she wasn't impressed with.

My BGs were largely behaving after my experiment with brekkas, back to normal today - 75g Blueberries and 75ml single cream followed by two brews and a pint of water; as my meddling didn't curtail the DP and the diabetic fairy.

Been looking up the guitar chords for tracks by Tau Cross, or alternatively Agalloch on Ultimate Guitar, Tau Cross drew a blank but a couple by the latter came up. I'll carry on with paper copies.

Congratulations @Sharron1 on todays HS, and to @Pam123 on yesterday's.

Have a good day everyone, stay safe.
