Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning 6.6 today, looks like I didn’t post yesterday but was a 6.9 then a busy day at work yesterday.

Last night my wife and I went out for dinner with a couple of friends (possibly a future couple) Interesting meal at an American Smokehouse themed restaurant, definitely American sized portions, think I took home enough leftovers to maybe feed us for the weekend, If I ever went again I’m thinking order less food & rather than driving if it’s a nice evening I will suggest to Mrs @goodybags that we both walk to & from town, as this morning I’m still feeling extremely full.

Good job I’m off to my weekly walking football/wellness program, I just stepped on the scales and I weigh 2kg more than I did last week 🙄

@Colin g congrats on yesterdays HS
@eggyg looks like both you and Mr @eggyg had a lovely time in Gretna, Happy Anniversary to you both

Have a Sensational Saturday everyone <3

Morning all. 7.1. TBF after a huge carb fest yesterday I’m happy with that.

We had the most wonderful day yesterday, from start to finish. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t spoil anything. The handfasting ceremony was surprisingly emotional and we both cried, we were presented with a certificate and the ribbon that was used to “tie” us together, and a wee anvil that could be used in a game of Monopoly if you’d lost one of the pieces. We also got shortbread, fudge, a teddy and miniatures of Gretna Green gin and whiskey. The afternoon tea was lovely, we only managed half, and washed it down with a couple of glasses of champagne. Checked into our room and had a nana nap! And who says romance is dead! We had a lovely dinner at 7.30, and back to our room for me to watch Corrie on plus 1. 😉
All the staff were amazing and attentive considering they had seven weddings yesterday! At least two were just couples on their own, we got chatting with one of them, and two more were small parties, and they ate in the dinning room same as us, and one was a bigger do in a function room. There was also a coach load of tourists in the restaurant too! All in all a fabulous way to spend our sapphire anniversary. Back to it today, the honeymoon is over, a quick trip to the retail park for a mooch and the 15 minute drive home to water the garden.

Have a super Saturday.

Here’s a handful of photos.
So pleased you had such a lovely day and pictures provided much evidence at that.
When I first read it I thought you said you went to retail park for a “ smooch” not a “ mooch” to try and prove romance is not dead.

And a 6.1 after a nice night with usual Pizza pick up and 30 minutes after picking up my wife from bus in town so busy early evening.
Nice day WFH and looking after dogs yesterday but so warm but much fresher today and not really sure what we are up to.
Wife had a lovely time at Chorley and only bought a few plants so hopefully get in garden today

Morning all, 4.3 here.
That all looks wonderful, @eggyg !
Talking of weddings, there is a big society wedding taking place today in the neighbourhood. The other night, our village was full of beefy men in suits, with suspicious bulges under the armpits. Apparently there was a pre-wedding dinner at the posh pub in the centre, which Kamala Harris attended, hence half the US Secret Service pacing up and down outside.

Morning campers! 5.9 for me today.

@Robin Do me a favour and send me a couple of beefy men with noticeable bulges will ya!

@egg great pics you both look so happy and in love.
6.5 for me had cherrys last night, well this morning as well. I got a pack big enough to last me four days, did you know we are on Tuesday already (hangs head in shame). That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
You all have a good happy safe day and have a great weekend. Love to all of you as always extra special wishes to anybody on their own and or struggling
Xxxxxx

@eggyg great photos, looks like you had a great time. :star:

A 5.9 for me today.
Have a great weekend, everyone.

A much better night with a fairly flat graph and no lows. A couple of points too high overall but improving. Ended with 7.1. Maybe the Artisan Ravioli with Beetroot and Parmesan Cheese together with Broccoli helped.

Off to do some gardening. Hey, ho …

Nick

Good morning, I was 4.9 when I woke up for the first time around 6, and 5.8 when I woke up again at 8. 30 ish.
It's overcast this morning and quite cool at the moment, so I'm going to take the dog for a quick walk before it warms up.

Oooh, very exciting. You need to get the craic! Royalty or celebrities?

Morning all

after a long lie in 5.8 think I might have a cold coming. Today I will mainly, be knitting and nattering, well I am taking crotchet along with me. Got mum all sorted yesterday, but later on she said she had left some bits off of her shopping list, thankfully hubby will call into Tesco on his way home from work.

@eggyg - lovely photos, so pleased the day went well.

Steve Jobs's daughter is marrying the British showjumper Harry Charles, in the church at Great Tew (handy for Soho Farmhouse, our local celebrity haunt) and having the reception at Estelle Manor, which is an incredibly posh hotel just outside Oxford. I have just worked out that the best route between the two comes straight past the crossroads just up from us, will be expecting a procession of blacked out limos later.
Watch this space, we’ve been threatened with JDVance later next month, the rumour mill has it that he’s coming to this end of the Cotswolds. Ah, I remember when we were a sleepy backwater at the unfashionable end.

Morning all. I've had a long lie in this morning and woke to a 5.6 which was surprising after a long lasting hypo before bed.

@eggyg you both looked lovely. What a great day and way to celebrate your sapphire anniversary. Long live love!

@Robin i'm sure i read in the paper yesterday about Steve Jobs (Apple) daughter getting married in the Cotswolds and they had a rehearsal dinner. Maybe that was it?

You beat me to it. I went to check the paper

That’s what it was billed as in the tabloids, it was a private dinner for a large party of people in the pub at the other end of our road, anyway! (a pub that used to be a really nice restaurant at prices locals could afford, but which has been taken over by someone from London and reinvented as a poncy place for rich weekenders).

Apparently they hadn’t made any 'arrangements' for the security detail, and besuited heavies kept wandering into the co-op asking if they could use the staff loos, and were redirected to the other pub in the centre of the village, which is the locals watering hole, so the local grapevine was buzzing!

A slightly higher, for me, 5.4 this morning.

Off to visit my parents in a bit and then we have friends coming this afternoon for a bbq which should be good.

My antenna guy called yesterday and more than happy to help with cabling and mounting a mast on the gable end, planned for a week Monday. Can’t wait to get the new antenna up and try it out. Went to the radio club last night and had a good chat with various people there, gleaning bits of knowledge from them as well as sparking some more enthusiasm in the hobby for me.

Have a great day everyone!
