Group 7-day waking average?

My OH was just a little perplexed at the news of our friend, a we've lost touch for a while; everybody's different and I shouldn't judge him, and his crime. My other half is seeing his fiancé later on in the afternoon.

I'm finding escorting my OH to church is getting easier to ignore, for me, now, but there are moments when I really don't like it.

It was a beautiful morning here with sunny skies, pity it didn't last as Morecambe put it's shirt back on, a little after 12.

My TiR is rising to 8.2 for the recent 7 days and the average is dropping to 8.6. Had a nice flat-line throughout the night at 6/6.5. I took my last anti-biotic early this morning and the red patch on my thigh is looking better - getting very pale with thanks to the steroid cream. Still itchy at times, I suppose that'll continue for the time being.

Congratulations go to @Barrowman , @Robin on , todays HS, and to @Pam123 on yesterdays' HS!

Hope everyone is ok today and your mood is on the way up!

Morning all. A brief HS for me, 5.2 again on my reader, but by the time I’d fired up my phone to do a reading so it can transfer to Libreview, it had moved to 5.3.
Congratulations on your HS
Missed it earlier when scrolling through. Must have been distracted by Joel Benjamin!

Afternoon all.5.4 for me.After an afternoon and night of high readings.Up to 17 at one point. Blaming it on this chesty cough and hay fever .House work done meat cooked and dinner eaten.Out with dog now .Was warm earlier cloudy and breezy now . Congratulations to @ Robin and @ Barrowman on your Hs today. Enjoy your day folks

Picking up on the school days thread. My dad was in the armed forces so we moved house a lot.
Same here. I passed my 11+ while we were living overseas and my parents decided to send me back home so as not to miss out on grammar school, living with my grandparents. While I was doing that the rest of family moved six times and I only went 'home' during school holidays.

Hello again - another day that started off lovely and is now dull and grey.

5.4 this morning.

Co-ed grammar school educated. Did needlework and cookery. Cooked some god-awful stuff like Soused Herrings - and a Christmas cake with royal icing and latticework. I had to take it home on my bicycle handlebars, needless to say it fell off. Hockey which I loathed. Fiona Murphy hit me on the nose with her hockey stick and it bled a whole jam jar full. French and Latin and of all things Religious gospels. My parents moved when I was 15 and I went to Secretarial college instead, which was much more useful. Later age 20 I learned Spanish at night school and worked in Madrid which was instrumental in my getting my job with the airline - the best time of my life - especially when hubby and I worked together on married rosters, travelling all over the world and being very well paid. When I met hubby 16 years later we started holidaying in France as he was more or less fluent having worked there. So the airline then paid for me (and a few others) to do a full time French course. Back then I was pretty good at it. Now I do what @eggyg does and tend to use French and Spanish words in the same sentence! It all adds to the rich tapestry of life though.

Congratulations to @Robin and @Barrowman on your HSs.

Have a lovely day all

Just a quick post after I’ve “Dolled myself up”, not really, just brushed my hair, & had my meds & inhalers, all dressed & ready to go!

10.05 BS 11.6 Ah well, that’s the fudge! After getting up & frantic activity 10:50 BS 15.3 & I wrote on libre “Whoah! Getting up & getting ready for Father’s Day Sunday Lunch out & I go up SO much! But, will let BS run higher today while out because of last night & last few nights of lows!” So, that’s what I’ll do & packed my insulins & needles in my handbag! I’ll worry about & handle high BS when I’m back home.

Catch up on this thread later as well!

Watched Trooping The Colour yesterday & I missed The Spitfire but, pleased to see The Lancaster in the Royal Flyby: those two & The Hurricane are SO much loved WW2 planes & I always think of those few against so many brave pilots during “The Battle of Britain” But, bad crash, I googled it, of The Spitfire last year & they decided not to include it this year! There are only two fly worthy Lancasters in the world now & it’s a reminder that everything has its time & how much longer before all the WW2 iconic & much loved planes still fly?
Lanny that reminded me to post a pic I took yesterday. I call it ‘Flew Past’

Just in the door & BS 16.5 but, no idea WHEN I put in my insulins at the table: stuck with 48 for both NR & Tresiba. & A Whistling Nonchalantly emoji! >>😉😉

Lovely Sunday Cravery buffet of various meats, of which, I had beef but, no Yorkshire Pudding; please “Don’t Shoot Me” I’ve always thought having a “Yorkie” with beef, some even have it with chicken, is very strange as I think it’s a dessert! Feel VERY STUFFED! Loads of selfies taken & we haven’t seen each other altogether for some years now! <3

I forgot to ask the other day what “Rich & Famous’” daughter’s name means & it has no particular meaning: just rhymes her older brother’s name who’s name means “All That He Needs”. Rich & Famous was telling me that he just saw for the first time yesterday little “All That He Needs” just turned around & bashed his little in the face with a toy car so, she had a bruise on her cheek just under her right eye! He’s only 3 years & 2 months old & doesn’t know & probably didn’t mean to hurt his little sister! 😱

I got about 2/3 hours sleep earlier & will try & get some sleep to catchup now: easy enough on a full stomach that makes me feel dozy! A Yawning & A Stream of Z’s emojis!!

Speaking of which, I had a right laugh at my eldest SIL saying in the car on the way back, in all the years of having Cravery type buffet she never knew you can go up as many times as you like: everybody went once & REALLY heaped up their mountainous plates; I only had 2 slices of beef, some mash, some carrots, some stuffing, a few roast potatoes & gravy! I went back for another slice of beef after with a tiny bit of stuffing, 2 roasties & gravy. Why cram SO much on a plate & make it uncomfortable to eat? I found it hilarious that my eldest brother & SIL didn’t know this & they’ve ALWAYS crammed their plates into mountains! We had a right laugh: now they know; their cravery buffet lunches will be a new much more comfortable eating experience now! 😱o_O:rofl:

Mind you, all the tables around us I noticed everybody had mountainous plates of food & I may have been the only one with a modest plate; do THEY know you can go back up as many times as you like? :confused:o_O:rofl: >>😉😉

I was at our local fete yesterday in Hartley Wintney and we had the treat of a fly over and a loop round from the Lancaster on its way back from London. It flew over the Common , we all watched as it came back and circled and then it went onto the Woodley Carnival, having done Blackbushe on the way down. Absolutely highlight of the day. The noise was tremendous as was the sight. One actually flew over our house a couple of weeks ago, hubby could not get into the garden fast enough. They really are magnificent machines.

I think the idea was to fill one up as sometimes there was very little meat to go round.
Precisely! My mum and all the family did that when I was a child. I can't get over people serving yorkshire puds with pork, chicken and every other meat. Beef only!

Try filling them with a crème diplomat and a little chocolate.

Well, I say “All to their own” I, in italics, have my preferences & so does everyone else: I LOVE stuffing & have it with WHATEVER roast meat dinner I eat! <3 I dare say that my Brussels pate with smoked salmon on toast, crackers or oatcakes is STRANGE to most people & I always say “Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!”

My Nana always severed Yorkshire Puddings on a plate before meal, with gravy.
When we stayed with our Gran in Lincolnshire we always had Yorkshire Pudding as a dessert, with Golden Syrup. Just looked up Golden Syrup nutrition details online - 80% carb, all of it sugar...!

I don’t serve Yorkshire puddings with anything. I can’t abide them. I don’t get it, lumps of oily batter! 😳 So no one else gets them! TBF I don’t particularly like roast beef so I rarely cook it, only at Christmas for my poultry/egg allergic Son in law. Much prefer lamb or pork.
