Wordle - Quordle Thread

Mixed bag this morning, in terms of luck, resulting in a fairly pedestrian score of 89 (4,20,65). Weekly challenge in 28.

Daily I started with a 3 for Wordle. Then both Quordle and Octordle started well but drifted at the end where there were lots of options. Octordle with 55 and a 3, 7, 4, 9 Quordle for 23. Total of 81.

Weekly into a tie with @rebrascora with a 4, 5, 6, 7 for 22.

Wordle in 6
Quordle to the wire for 26 (3, 6, 8, 9)
Octordle in 12 for 66

Total Score 98!

Dare I try the Weekly Challenge - it could be a WHITEout! :rofl:
 
Reasonably good for me today, but not a match for Mr Wordles above.

Wordle in 3
Quordle 7 6 5 4 = 22
Octordle for 52 although it took me forever to get the last one (No.3) with the letters I had!

Gives me a total of 77
 
Tied with @Robin on 85 (3,22,59), with similar difficulty with Octordle.
Edit: my arithmetic was off by 1. Actual total was 84.

I am starting to think that the Wordles are changing so it is more dependent on .luck than skill as sometimes it doesn't flow at all. I was lucky with the Weekly Challenge but today's Octordle felt like I was a small river running through a mangrove swap. In addition I am fed up with words that give you endless multiple choices, e.g. xOIST!

But then, how do you explain @Rob Oldfield 's consistency then?
I agree it is a bit frustrating when you get one of those multiple option words but then you have to decide whether to forfeit a life to rule some of them out or not and if you do there is some skill in finding a word which will rule out the majority of the options. Plus we are at least all in the same boat in that most of us will be in the same situation with that multiple option word.
I find it quite fascinating how I can get some quite unlikely words in 3 in Wordle but what you would expect to be relatively straightforward words take me 6. Also, despite all starting with different words, we often all find the same Wordle difficult.
 
I was doing pretty well today too until I struggled to get going in Octordle and then had an anagram which lost me a life, so I ended up not getting my first word until 5 which obviously adversely affected my Octordle result and lead to a decidedly mediocre total.

Quordle 4 5 3 6 = 18
Octordle for 68

Gives me 90
 
Passable result of 84 here (4,22,58), after another mixed bag in terms of luck.

Woke up hypo so thought I would do puzzles till I was fixed.
Started and ended well but lost my way in the middle a bit.

Wordle in 3
Quordle 7 9 3 5 = 24
Octordle for 50

Gives me a total of 77
