What are you reading?

Finished The Clifftop Murders by Rachel McLean, really enjoyed. Now started The Island Murders a.so by Rachel McLean.
Forgotten how much I like her writing and find them easy to read. They are Police Procedure on a woman who transferred from Birmingham to Dorset.

Finished The Island Murders, again I enjoyed .
Was then going to start TheLong Shot by Kate Bingham, but as it is a physical book 2 problems need bedside light on to read at night and the font is small. To expensive to buy on Kindle, other half got this from Library, I may start later, when don't need bestie light on.

Just finished a reread of Hamnet.
Enjoyed it as much the second time as the first and took more time reading it this time.

Started to read The Long Shot, so far an easy read, but would prefer on Kindle.

I have just picked up On Beauty by Zadie Smith. Loved White Teeth so I'm hoping this will be just as good.

Im working my way thro all the sherlock holmes stories.......for about the 10th time lol......cept i have it as an audio book read by hugh bonneville

I listen whilst walking....makes it so much easier

@paultrose I haven't listened to an audio book yet. Do you get them from the library, amazon or elsewhere? A long time ago I read most of Sherlock Holmes when I lived in Southsea. I had briefly gone to school in Portsmouth which was opposite the birthplace of Charles Dickens but I wasn't drawn to reading all his books. I borrowed them from the library. For a time I didn't have a tv and it was way before the distractions of the Internet. I had read some as a child so some were a reread. Conan Doyle had been a Doctor in Southsea so it seemed a good place to read them.

Finished off a couple of books I'd had on the go since Christmas.

Just started A Thousand Paper Birds by Tor Udall. Another charity shop find. I've only read the first chapter so far but it's started well.

Amazon is good place for them but i got sherlock on bbc iplayer/sounds

Im also getting addicted to desert island discs when walking......very intersting some people......currently listening to gabby logans

I’m currently reading The Last Word by Elly Griffiths, I’ve read all of her Ruth Galloway books which I love, this is giving me Richard Osman vibes, cosy crime with humour. I’m enjoying it so far even though I much prefer grittier crime novels, but we all need a change sometimes.

Someone else recommended The Last Word recently. I shall look that one out. Thanks

Finished The Long Shot not a bad read, but won't be reading a proper book again in a hurry.
Now started Under a Greek Moon by Carol Kirkwood, the BBC weather presenter. Not sure about the style of writing.

Finished Under a Greek Moon, fairly easier read.
Now started The Girl Who Died, by Ragnar Jonasson, an Iclandic crime novel.

Finished The Girl Who Died, more of a thriller than I usually read, bit strange.
Now started Three Widows by Patricia Gibney an Irish Female Detective book, I find these books hard put down normally.

Finished The Three Widows, another good read from Patricia Gibney, a twisty plot.
Now starting Guilt by Jussi Alder-Olsen, this is Scandinavian Police story.
