Mike - I too have had a similar experience to you. I tend to update my iPhone whenever Apple tell me to, and did so just after Christmas. When a new sensor failed to work I went through my entire stock of NHS supplied sensors trying to find a way through. I tried different sites on my arms, reloading the app, and everything I could think of. Fortunately an unscheduled visit to my Diabetic Clinic at Chelsea was very helpful. They explained the likely cause, gave me a new sensor and reader. They pointed me to Abbott, who I phoned. I was then sent three replacement sensors and told “not to automatically update”. Too late! No explanation of how long they will take to catch up with Apple IOS updates. They were sorry but seemed to take no responsibility for the lack of warning. Ho hum. I like using the iPhone and dislike having to use a reader. By the way reloading an earlier IOS version to my iPhone looks complicated and full of pitfalls.Unfortunately I have recently updated my iPhone iOS and my Freestyle Libre 2 App ( LibreLink ) has stopped scanning any new sensors.
Happened on 19th December and I tried 3 new sensors with all failing to scan - far too many to be faulty sensors.
Got Apple to run a diagnostics on my iPhone ( SE 2022 ) hardware and all was functioning perfectly.
Therefore there is major problem with the Freestyle Libre App to anyone running OS 18.0+ ( I even tried updating to the latest iOS 18.2 as a last resort which still failed ).
After several phone calls with the Abbot helpline they admitted this was correct and advice was just to keep looking for their App updates ( whenever?!? ).
They were quite happy to replace my wasted sensors, which I commend - but this is not the main problem.
I consider it very poor / amateur conduct for a multi national company ( Abbot / Freestyle Libre ) to not ensure that their software system is functioning correctly on the latest iOS and just wish to warn everyone who may receive / purchase any new Apple iPhones etc over the Christmas period to be aware of this prohibitive info.
That’s encouraging. I’m going to try this at the weekend. My next prescription will change from FSL 2 to 2 Plus. I wonder if the GP will supply fewer sensors as the new ones last longer?Libre 2+ and 18.3 now working together just fine on iPhone 13.
Even so, 26*14=364, but 25*15=375. So one fewer sensor a year would give you 10 days spare (or 9 in leap years). (I've no idea whether we get a different number of Libre 2+ sensors a year. I got the impression it was still going to be 26 (and 26*15=390) but it's also possible nobody's checking all that precisely.)They only last a day longer.

Yes I get fewer as I can only request every 30 days not every 28 now… even though the pharmacy then keep giving me 2s not 2+sI've no idea whether we get a different number of Libre 2+ sensors a year. Blimey! I’ve just put on a new sensor and it works with my iPhone 11 (IOS 18.3). I reloaded the Librelink 2 app. So now I'm wearing a sensor on my left arm for the iPhone and another on the right arm for the Reader. I didn't know you could do that until recently. The Reader sensor runs out tomorrow so it will be interesting to compare readings. Fingers crossed. NickThey should change your ability to request them from 2 every 28 days to 2 every 30 days
Yes, that was always possible (well, since they released phone apps). So now I'm wearing a sensor on my left arm for the iPhone and another on the right arm for the Reader. I didn't know you could do that until recently.
It doesn’t read in libre dataIs anyone with Freestyle Libre sensors using the Mysugr app?
18.3 installed and working with Libre 2

I’ve started a new sensor just now. Juggluco seems to think the last sensor had “15 days,” not a plus. They both don’t seem that far out. Different arms. I’m going to push the old one another 24 hours.Yes, that was always possible (well, since they released phone apps).
Juggluco (Android only) supports two sensors at the same time, and continues reading sensors for a few hours after they officially end. So with that I can compare the graphs of the two sensors before I remove the old one.
Out of curiosity is your favoured arm.... ie right if you are right handed, readings lower than your left arm... or vice versa?I’ve started a new sensor just now.
