I have amazing news. My Hba1c result is back already and I am now in the normal non-diabetic range!
In 159 days I have gone from 60 to 41.

The relief is immense. But the work on my health does not stop here. I will continue to lose weight and stay in the normal range. Not sure what will happen to my meds yet. But I know that you have to be in the normal range for 6 months without meds to be considered in remission.

But for now, I can rest easier knowing that my blood sugar isn’t causing further damage to my body.

Change is possible!

Fantastic results.
I love your positive, go-for-it attitude
But the work on my health does not stop here. I will continue to lose weight and stay in the normal range.
Good luck with your continued journey with more kneeling along the way.

Such lovely news @Katetype2

You’ve worked really hard, and made some significant changes to achieve this turnaround - and your attitude, resolve, and stickability have been inspiring to see.

Well done. It takes some effort to improve like that,
I managed to drop from 55 to 41 last year but have strayed since and am now on 46. Now the weather is better I can walk more so hope to improve. When I was successful I walked 400 miles in 3 months - would love to know how you did it.

You must be so happy at your success.

@Katetype2 I know i ought to look at your previous posts but what meds are you on? Between end of June and mid December I reduced from 69 to 44. I saw a DCN last month who suggested reducing meds. She didn't explain why and offered stop the SGLT2 or drop one of the two metformin I was on. I would like to drop the SGLT2 as it encourages me into eating extra carbs but chose the metformin as I was due an eye op plus steroids. She said my BG would increase but also told me not to test. I've started testing a bit. Sometimes I have eaten too many carbs but my BG has been erratic.highest ever 17 plus a 3.5. Today I woke up to 7.4
Cataract op a success but bit stressful as it has caused a flare of uveitis. On drops every hour but 6 x a day today.
