Strips for machines are usally spefic for each one,also some makes even different models do not take the same strips.
 
NO you have to use the ones spefic for your machine, and be aware some companies have more than model and may use different strips.
 
You can only try it and see what your bloods are before and 2 hours later.
 
Testing two hours after starting to eat will tell you if you can cope with two slices of bread. as you are dealing with prediabetes it might be OK - I always use low carb bread, 4 gm of carbs per slice, and have loads of filling, proper butter of course.
 
I need help. I’ve put the strip inside the meter with a drop of blood on and it’s not reading it. There’s nothing on the screen. What am l doing wrong
 
Best get your sandwich eaten pdq Francis - that's a bit low for comfort generally, but the bread will soon bring it up again! Don't forget to test again 2 hours after your first mouthful and report back with that result, please.
