Thanks mateLike you many of us have additional things we have to cope with on top of our diabetes, so please remember that you're amongst friends here and we will help you in any way we can.

Is cornbeef okay to have with mashed cauliflowerThanks mate
OkayAccording to the nutrition information on a can of Sainsbury's corned beef it is, to all intents and purposes, carb-free. Cauliflower has around a third of the carbohydrate of potato.
Test beforehand and two hours later to see what it did to your BG.

My blood glucose level is 5.2 tonightOkay
Thank youThat is a great reading. Well done!
I understand that. But they put me to sleep too that’s why l take them. That’s a great level @francisalison45 - well done!
I’m a bit worried about you taking cocodamol so regularly and at the full dose - as you know, they are addictive, and while I understand that they keep you going, and why you have found a way to ‘work around’ the restrictions you faced I am not sure it’s a great idea to take them like that long term - and the longer it goes on, the harder it is to stop![]()
Thanks. It’s been hard for me to cope without him.sorry to hear about your Dad![]()
No l don’t. I’m 3.9 this morning is that lowIf that's 2 hours after your corned beef and cauli mash then well done. It shows what a low carb meal can do.
I too have concerns about your use of cocodamol. Codeine is an opiod and it's easy to become addicted, but cocodamol also contains paracetemol, and overdosing on paracetemol is one of the leading causes of liver damage. Your liver is a major player in terms of BG. For your own sake, please ensure you don't exceed the maximum 4 doses per day.

OkayAfter reading through all the comments I'd highly suggest getting in touch with a GP and asking for help not just for your pre diabetes but your mental health too, it sounds like you need some counceling to try and move forward, I struggle greatly with my mental health but won't see about it as I don't want to rely on even more medication just to get me through, best of luck
xx
Diabetes UK considers 4 to be the floor and 10 the ceiling, so anything below 4.0 would be considered low. If I got a reading below 4.0 I would switch hands and do another test.

Do l have to test my blood glucose levels every day cause l can’t afford strips every day for it.It’s now 4.5
Good. Do l need to test my blood glucose every day as the strips are £12.50 a box which l can’t afford everyday4.5 is good and in what's generally considered the 'normal' range (4 - 5.5).
