Haven't been feeling great for a couple of days, mostly anxiety related, so went along to see the nurse practitioner today to get my blood pressure checked out. BIG mistake. Yes my blood pressure was high but she seemed more concerned by the fact that since last September I have lost 3 stone. I explained that I had been diagnosed diabetic with an HB1Ac of 48, which had gone down to 44 in March and that I had adapted to a way of eating that I felt I could sustain. The outcome is she has taken an armful of blood and is sending it off and I will get a call next Friday with the results. She wants to get to the bottom of this weight loss!!!! Meanwhile my blood pressure will stay high as I now have the worry of the pending results on top of my other problems 😡
