That certainly is a problem Kentish maid. I suffer from that. I only have to see a doctor and everything will be through the roof.

When I was a work I worked for a surgeon and he very often cancelled ops because a patient's blood pressure was too high. Patient would go back home for checking by GP for a few weeks and it would go back to normal almost immediately. Such a shame but they won't take the risk.

Many years ago I had a 24 hour blood pressure monitor fitted, and have been on tablets since then, but they don't stop the problem of white coat syndrome. Funnily enough my regular GP doesn't send me through the roof. (Unlike that song 'Goodness Gracious Me' 🙄 )
