Glad you've got a clear diagnosis, and from the sounds of it a relatively simple treatment plan. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

Phew that's a relief. I hope you don't have to wait too long for the treatment.

Glad your six pack is safe! That's a bit of a mixed blessing, isn't it, you were hoping it was nothing, but it could have been something worse.
I know precisely what it could have been, Robin, so it's a fairly unmixed blessing 🙂

Glad to hear it's nothing more serious Mike and of course that your six pack is safe, although talk of staples via endoscopy made me shudder slightly. I'd be fascinated to watch it on someone else less keen for them to attack me with a staple gun 😉 Hope the barium goes OK and they whip you in for some gentle stapling quickly 🙂

Well, I've got my appointment for the Barium swallow. Next Thursday morning over in Oban. So, another morning with no food, and worse still, no cappuccino. I hope I can stop the caffeine withdrawal shakes while they take the pictures.

The trouble with the barium stuff is that you have to drink lots of water afterwards to stop it setting solid in your innards. Then you get grey poo, which as the creonistas know, can cause PTSD

Mind you, the weather outlook for next week is a bit apocalyptic, so I might not get there. That's the only problem with getting stuff wrong with you in winter on the islands, and I don't fancy that the lifeboat will take me across, as they did with a patient from here last week, but that was a bit more urgent than me swallowing mud.

Hope the ferry crossing is smooth on the day Mike & that all goes smoothly with the cement swallow!!! I don't envy you but shall be thinking of you.Take good care of yourself. Wirralass x

Good luck, Mike.
