Good to hear there is some improvement, Mike.🙂

Whenever you talk about Tobermory I want to go! We did have an Oban holiday, but bypassed it on our way to Iona. Good excuse to go back. 🙂

Whenever people talk about Tobermory I think of the Wombles. One day, my dream is to do a world tour of the Womble places. Already been to Cholet (or through it anyway)

Slightly different programme but we've been through Nouvion shedloads of times - no sign of Café Rene or anyone we know! V disappointing - no chateaux anywhere about, no women in white ankle socks, no fallen Madonnas with or without large accoutrements - nothing.

May be better to just 'imagine' Tobermory? Or - jump on a plane and visit Bulgaria?

I have to take omeprozole regularly sue to acid reflux problems. Had it for years. Endoscopy showed no problems.
I suffer badly if I don't do Atkins. Soon's I'm back on the Atkins I'm okay. Daren't go off it basically. Have nearly died a few times middle of the night waking choking ... not good at all! Acid Reflux is horrible. :(

Hope you're feeling better today Mike.

Glad you're feeling more human Mike. Every time someone posts in kilos I have to google it in pounds...I just can't get with these changes I afraid! 😳

Glad you are feeling better mikey

Glad to hear you are feeling better Mike. How's your toe doing.

Just a quick update. Just had a phone call from Oban Hospital endoscopy, and they want me in for a gastroscopy a week on Friday. That means they must think it's urgent. I don't, but hey ho, who's complaining🙂

Hopefully just good service. Good luck

As a footnote, the appointment is for 2.pm, and they were worried cos I'm a type 1. As I've just done a couple of days without food I reassured them it was okay. Nonetheless, I've got some Dextro tabs to dissolve in the mouth rather than jbs cos they're invisible. I don't want the doc moaning about undissolved bits of jellly baby floating around:D

Good luck from me too.

Sorry to hear you've been so unwell, but pleased to hear that you are much better now - and that you have the date for your gastroscopy. I hope it is just the fact that you had missed your medication. I was allowed glucose tabs before having an endoscopy so good plan to have those just in case, hope it all goes well next week.

Nasty experience, but at least the worst of it is over now. Comforting to know they are keeping an eye, even though it is a bit of a palava preparing for it. I hope it turns out to be nothing very serious.

Thanks for all the good wishes gang, I'll let you know how I get on. Winter appointments are always a bit hit and miss, because the gales can stop the ferry, so pray not for me, but the weather🙂

If I got a rough ferry crossing, they'd certainly be nothing left in my gut to worry about!

Hope all goes well

I hope the weather holds for your appt and the results are good.
