Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning folks. 7.4 this morning at 6am. Our cat is back to her normal routine now the visitors and dogs have gone. Back at keep fit after a 2 week break as our instructor was on holiday. The weather is hot humid and no breeze today. Urrgh! My friend is picking me up for craft club this afternoon. Now looking through the wardrobe for the lightest coolest clothes that are still decent to wear in public.
Hubby has been playing with the new rotorvator in the veg bed. This evening we will start on the wine making. The gages have been soaking overnight in boiling water to loosen the skins. Ready to add sugar, yeast and lemon juice later.

Hope you enjoy your Tuesday and keep chilled. Take care xx

19!!!!!!!??? I bet they don't have that many around for the Royals! I wonder how many there would be for Trump.
A standard POTUS motorcade runs some 40 to 50 vehicles.
They can be significantly fewer if the threat level is deemed incredibly low but it’s very rare for them to ever drop below 30.

Late on parade today. Couldn’t sign in for some reason. I blame the weather.

6.4

Therapy’s has been and done already today. Contemplating gym but no real need to head out until this evening when I’m off to Sadler’s Wells to see Rambert Dance’s production Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby. I’m looking forward to it even though I’ve never seen a single episode of the telly prog. Plus Sadler’s has really good aircon!

Blimey, I've only been off 5 days and you've all been v busy.

Not sure if today's FBG is 10.1 or 12.3 due to disrupted eating/ sleeping pattern. 12.3 was after fasting for full 8 hours so will go with that I think.

Had part 2 of incredibly long drawn out diabetes assessment saga, got patted on the head (not literally) about nearly halving HbA1c and being compliant with meds but as soon as I started asking questions she started rushing me off the phone saying "I've got loads of other patients". At this rate it'll take over a year before my "initial assessment" is completed!

There are things I need to address sooner rather than later (I'm overdue for an eye test and new specs but my eye blurriness hasn't settled yet) but I keep getting the brush-off, each nurse says "save that for your next appointment". Thank goodness for Diabetes UK website and the forum is all I can say but it shouldn't have to be this way.

Two pleasant surprises, the nurse readily accepted my concerns about taking an SGLT2i (I'd been expecting a fight) and instead suggested Mounjaro. I've got until the next appointment on 3rd September to decide but I'm coming round to the idea. Some people seem to have dramatically lowered their BG levels, which is surely worth eggy burps and either constipation or diarrhoea.

Today is supposed to be a rest in bed day but little annoyances keep interfering. Had to shut all the windows at the back because we thought some absolute expletive had lit a bonfire, then hubby spotted next-door-but-one neighbour in his bee suit so the smoke was short lived and the windows are wide-open again. I'm so exhausted I'm actually feeling a bit cold but it's sticky and I'm sweating more than usual.

Their kids are off to el Xiringüelu in Pravia today
I wonder if that's where they make the soap Heno de Pravia? My mum's from Gibraltar so it's a family favourite.
Morning and 6.2 for me, straight line all night, the Mounjaro is doing a good job helping my body regulate BS.
That's what I'm hoping it'll do for me. Do you mind me asking if you're getting any side effects?

Best wishes to all especially those whose BGs are misbehaving :care:

A belated 2nd awakening due to monitoring earlier & just as well as the basal drop is still there albeit, slower & needed 1 biscuit twice so, FINALLY, approaching zombie status again, I JUST about stayed up to put in a 2nd day of 50 basal at midday with BS high enough for me to sleep confidently! 15:15 BS 8.6 & sleeping graph wobbled a teeny bit but, pretty flat ish & it was what I went to bed on at noon. A wee bump up to the 9’s for the loo trip & stayed wibbly wobbly but, on a downward trend, basal drop is still there, & was in the 7’s by the time I got out of bed to eat which, getting vertical, sent it up to 17:20 BS 10.1.

I thought I’d try near normal doses & went with -2, from usual breakfast 48 to 46 NR & see how that goes? Another 2 dead straight needles, basal earlier & breakfast just now, & I, rather hesitantly say, think I’m getting the hang of it?

Normal service is ALMOST resumed &, hopefully, back tomorrow or the day after?:thankyou::D

Edited to add, a minute later, OH! My short term memory these days: easy to forget what I was going to do, post in this instance, when I get distracted; looking up libre entires for numbers while typing even though I looked before I started typing! :-

I’ve been giving more thought on what needles to change to, eventually with the pharmacist checking & consulting with hospital DSN, & I find myself getting a bit bruised with all the extra corrections etc earlier BEFORE I figured it out that I’d like to try shorter needles & go with 31G 4mm? That is IF pharmacist & DSN agree that’s the best one to go for going forward?

Just think about your life of luxury whilst Brian looked after all the windows.🙂
A Len from me or straight 7 and a pretty flat night.
Have been running higher last couple of days just getting out of kilter but back on track soon.
Nice day in Cheshire yesterday and even nicer trip to Shropshire/Powys today.
In morning yesterday it stayed warm but not stifling until about lunchtime then rocketed and lovely breeze this morning after fan in the night but got reasonable sleep.
After today should be just really pleasant but always cool in car with air con.
Anyway have a great day all

Morning 5.5 today, I did wonder if the a Diabetes Fairy Might send me a Birthday HS today, but no a Unicorn Instead
I shall be working today, it’s going to hot, was just thinking back to when I was a youngster (all those years ago) my birthday was often parties in the back garden, family & school friends I remember them as, Jelly IceCream & Wasps

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone 😎

Morning all. 5.9 for me.

It's raining and we're covered in cloud this morning. Luarca was absolutely chokka-block with holiday-makers looking for somewhere to have lunch yesterday. We had a lovely catch-up with our friends over croquetas, pulpo, calamares...yum!

Today is a clearing (outdoors) and cleaning (indoors) day.

Happy birthday @goodybags. Don't work too hard!

Happy birthday @goodybags. Hope it's a good one with less wasps than your childhood birthdays!

5.4 today.
Yesterday was, in the words of The Fast Show, "Scorcio". My poor little desk fan was pretty tired by the end of clinic - as was I.

I suspect I'll be just as hot & bothered by the end of the day as I need to run the gauntlet with IT. The Trust have swapped to a new system of rostering - which doesn't work on my personal mobile, my work phone or my work laptop. I have literally no way of knowing what my shifts are after August.

I suppose I could just stop going to work in September but, somehow, I don't think my employer would approve

In honour of your birthday @goodybags I scored myself a 5.2!

Peaky Blinders yesterday was fantastic! Loved every bit of it and want to see it again. However it ends on Saturday and already at theatre tomorrow and Saturday so doesn’t leave much scope. The cast alternates roles and yesterday was Cast 2 and I’d like to see Cast 1. If I can figure out which casting is which performance and I’m free I might go again. If not then I’ll watch it on iPlayer.

Morning all, 6.2 here.
Managed to get to the hairdressers without running into Vance's motorcade yesterday. Had to drive right past all the police guarding the entrance to the hamlet where he’s staying, with yet more van loads of police parked in the community hall carpark in the next village. Of course an hour later, I drive back disguised with a new hairdo, so that’s me on the watch list! 😱

Happy birthday, @goodybags , hope the wasps don’t turn up to the party this year.

Morning all. 5.4. I have another day at the hospital with mum. I can't fault the NHS/staff at this particular hospital as they've been nothing but kind and professional but surely their booking system could have seen we were there yesterday and booked the two appointments together. Its a 100 mile round trip for both days, in this heat, we're tired out!

Happy Birthday @goodybags. Have a nice day.
Congrats on the HS @ColinUK.
@Robin at least if you need a policeman, you know where to find them.

Have a good day everyone. Try and stay cool, its up to 34° today!

Well done @ColinUK on your HS. My reading was 6.1 this morning.
And Happy Birthday @goodybags!
