Group 7-day waking average?

Morning everyone (just). Bright and sunny today and a happy 4.6 on waking up.

Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe.

we caught up on two episodes of Masterchef after they left. All in all it was a nice day.
You obviously haven’t watched Friday’s so I won’t say too much but who are you routing for so far? I’ve a couple of favourites. I thought they were all pretty good. Glad it’s back on.

6.6 a gorgeous day here, warm too. Woke up and showered late for me, much prefer to shave a couple of hours off the time in the morning. It stayed cloudy for the most yesterday.

My BGs have, largely ,been good, staying in range for a couple of days and nights without a break. Only today they've slipped above 10. My average is now 8.4 and my TiR is now climbing 77%. Getting better.

We have to get busy preparing for the builder tomorrow morning and hopefully won't miss church tonight, my Lady gets a lot out of attending much more than me; but I get the community and have made some friends there - swings and roundabouts.

Have a good day whatever you're doing. Stay safe.

More bent needles despite trying to push in insulin more slowly: it’s just seems strange to me & I haven’t got the technique down pat yet; only the odd one coming out straight but, the bent ones aren’t as bad as before & no dripping needles so, it’s IS getting better! The BS is still erratically high at times & other times going too low, needing a quick bit of food to head off hypos, & in light of that I’m kept basal to 52 as I don’t why but, it’s easier for me to keep the needle straight pushing in slowly in my thighs than in my stomach where NR goes: I’m pretty about the basal; not sure at all about NR!

I’ve been catching cat naps here & there whenever I can but, I’m tearing my hair out & scanning anxiously to see what BS does as it’s unpredictable!

Tomorrow can’t come soon enough so, I can speak to the health centre pharmacist about changing needles!

I’m a wired, tired, bleary eyed zombie today! I’m wearing my max 2.5x reading glasses & STILL having to zoom things as big as I can on my iPad screen just so I can read it my eyes are SO tired & bleary today to post this! Catching up will have to wait! :thankyou: I take that to be both a sorry & a please emoji! In this case; Sorry!

Hope you’re all doing ok? 😉

I’m not posting numbers as they’ve been swinging & I, in italics, feel like I’VE been swinging from the chandeliers too!

Good evening. Very late on parade today. Started OK on 8 and glorious sunshine. More visitors today. They were thrilled watching the spitfire and Lancaster flying over the garden. I was busy making salads and greengage crumble with ground almonds. We were feeding 8 today. My hat off to you @eggyg for doing this on a regular basis. I also entertained our niece's 3 daughters aged 4, 8 and 11 at various points during the day. After foraging fruit and vegetables in the garden we all went for a walk after dinner.
They have all gone home now and it is finally cooling down. Sitting munching sticks of cheddar with an apple from the garden. Picked over 10kg of greengage yesterday. Made 24 jars of jam and still have loads left. Decided to make wine with the rest.
Hope you had a good weekend. It's supposed to be a scorcher tomorrow. Take care and remember the sunscreen.

A middle of the night, silly o’clock letting off steam & frustration warning!

Here I am again, the same thing last night, going low & hustling to get liquid carbs down me quick & then, something more substantial to keep BS up! I was high ALL day! I bent both of the NR breakfast & lunch needles & got the midday basal dead straight in my thigh! Then, waiting, waiting, waiting patiently for BS to go below 10, anything below that & 9.9 would have done, before having a pretty late dinner around 20:30 at BS 9. something I can’t remember exactly & can’t be bothered to look up the libre but, fell to BS 8.1 by the time I’d toasted my bread & made tea. I then, gave it a modest 36 & I pulled out another dead straight needle: I AM still hit & miss on doing this; had a thought in the back of my mind that I COULD be in hypo territory as it was the same thing yesterday in that it took until the final NR dose for me to pull out a straight needle! So, I stayed up despite being in a SUPER zombie mode to see about BS. Indeed I ended up going down right from finishing eating, should be going up, to the low 6’s in less than 2 hours & I thought “POOH!” if I have to eat: it’ll be something I like; I had 2 scoops of asda mint chocolate chip & chocolate sauce ice cream! That’s why I acted earlier at a mmol higher to give the ice cream time to raise my BS: saw the writing on the wall, as they say; knew it was WHEN, not if, I’ll be heading off hypo territory! I drifted off for a bit & woke to find that the ice cream only made a tiny molehill on my graph & was back in the high 6’s. So, I stayed awake anxiously scanning but, it seemed pretty stable there for a few hours & I thought I could turn in properly for the night & scanned 1 last time before sleeping AND it’s in the low 4’s! I felt ok at first but, in spooning the cuppa soup, too hot to drink it, my hands were getting shaky!

So, here I am moaning after the cuppa soup & 03:04 BS 9.4 vertical arrow! I’m EXHAUSTED & will turn in now & try to sleep?

I’m definitely dialling basal back down to 50 tomorrow as basal is clearly too high & it’s the NR not going in properly that’s the problem. It’s the usual mad rush for appointments on Monday, I’m still thinking tomorrow as I haven’t gone to bed yet, later this morning & I’ll call around 11am or whenever I wake up to speak to in house pharmacist about needles! I may need more NR vials too as I was wasting how much, I don’t know, that DIDN’T end up in me?

That’s it! I’m restraining myself!

I wish you all a Very Good Morning, coming up, & have a Wonderful Day! And only because it’s kind of standard for me, a 😉

I need to sleep! A Stream Of Z’s emoji!

Edited & added later:-

BS has levelled off & dropping again 03:48 BS 8.9 so, will eat some biscuits.

Was checking online on the airdate of Moonlit Reunion & loads of new posters, teasers & trailers have just been released today, 11/08/25, as it’s airing on 18/08/25 AND it’ll be on Disney+ in the UK & the US under the Fantasy, Romance, Drama genres on that date too: been seeing a mix of Chinese, released by Tencent & WeTV, & English Sub, released by Disney+, videos. I can’t wait & very looking forward to it! 😛<3:D

5.3 (yet again) for me earrly start for work... weather to be dry, hot and sunny..

An early good morning and a 5.2.

Wet at the moment but forecast better for later. Going to the seaside this afternoon to do one of our favourite walks. Six miles around the point and back for a chippy tea which we’ll eat in the car looking over to Scotland. Have only done it once this year and that was January. Looking forward to it, it’s usually very peaceful and hopefully there’ll be lots of seabirds for me to photograph.

Have a Happy Monday.

Good morning 6.6
Congrats on your HS @eggyg

Happy Monday everyone

Morning and 6.2 for me, straight line all night, the Mounjaro is doing a good job helping my body regulate BS.

Morning all. 🙂 6.4 here.

It's supermarket shopping today - the cupboards are bare. But first we'll stop in a little town called Ribadeo for a coffee.

The sun's coming out, so I must get these dogs walked before it gets too hot. Just 27° forecast for today.

Enjoy your day out @eggyg.

A 6.9 for me when first got up at 5 to walk dogs but afterwards had another snooze so up for good now.
Yesterday we cancelled our lunch out as my wife took DiL to hospital to find out about whether her foot was broken but only heavily bruised and had a 4 hour wait but horrified me when she said the target wait for life or limb threats was 12 hours.I ended up bringing her home as my wife was at the farm looking after our daughters dog as they are away in Berwick.
Congrats to eggyg on HS and I feel we caught your busy family support tradition but only yesterday rather than your marathon.
So we rewarded ourselves with a Chinese takeaway ( we always judge how good it is by the Hot and Sour Soup) and this place is epic. We only wish it had a restaurant as we would have a season ticket there but only a takeaway and it was lovely. We love our Chinese Food and even picked Hong Kong as a holiday destination to try the authentic cuisine.
Anyway managed a few walks yesterday but only about 12000 steps in general as I have been a bit lazy recently.
Have a great week and have a few Linch and Learns this week so in the Wirral today and actually doing a Diabetes one which is quite unusual for me at the moment.
Have a good week all

Morning all. 6.4 after an overnight correction because all the treatments for a late evening hypo seemed to decide to kick in all at once and work together at 3am.

Today i'm off to the cinema twice!! This morning i'm going with a friend to see Freakier Friday then tonight i'm going to see Naked Gun again. We only managed half an hour of it the other day before the screens shut off, emergency lights came on and the whole complex was evacuated. Hopefully we'll get to see it this time. At least its air conditioned in there, its forecast 29° today!!

@eggyg congrats on the HS. Enjoy your walk.

Have a good day everyone. Stay cool.

Morning all, 4.8 here. Off to do the weekly shop in a mo…if I don’t get stopped by the CIA. We have JD Vance staying a mile down the road, I must remember to smile for the surveillance camera that suddenly appeared on a lamppost at the bottom of our road.

Good morning all it's going 2b a hot one so make sure you take on plenty of liquid and use suntan lotion. It's a beautiful start to the day here in sunny Watton. Not going out today due to the heat and I can't be arsed to go anywhere tobe honest.
5.6 for me that's good and im happy with it.
You all take care especially anyone one their own and or struggling
Love to you all
Ps don't know if it's a side effect of the good weather but my mood is good
Gail
