Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 6.4 after an earlier low alarm, JBs and a hypo as the JBs didn't work until later. Just had breakfast and its dropped again now to 4.8 so need to keep an eye out.

Yesterdays two cinema trips were very good. Freakier Friday with my friend was fun andon the evening we got to see the whole of Naked Gun after being evacuated from the cinema halfway through last week.

Today i need to do the weekly shop this morning then take mum back to the hospital this afternoon. After a procedure the other week she has now been diagnosed with another condition and had to have an MRI two weeks ago. The results have come back very quickly and they want to see her. Depending on whats said today, we may/may not have to go again tomorrow.

Forecast for today is up to 33° so i'm not looking forward to sitting in a car (mine is only tiny and the air con takes a while to cool) then a hospital. I hope they have air con or fans!

Have a good day everyone and try to keep cool if you're in this heat

Morning all. 6.3 today.

We had a lovely 7 mile coastal walk yesterday. Warm with a cooling breeze. Finished with fish and chips. Did a split bolus and it seems to have worked.

Today we will do our chores first thing, Mr Eggy is on window number 5! The last one. I’ve decided as the weather is going to be hot, hot, hot we’re going Greek tonight. I made hummus yesterday, today I’ll make tzatziki, lamb kebabs and pitta breads. A big fat Greek salad will accompany our meal. We’ll sit under our grape vine to eat it. All we need is some retsina( no thanks) and we could be in Santorini. Other Greek islands are available. 😉

Have a lovely day and keep safe in the sun.

Plus they don’t announce where he’s going, from day to day (obviously ) but close the roads suddenly if his entourage of 19 (yes, 19 ) vehicles is passing. I feel sorry for his family, they probably need a holiday, but does it have to be here?
19!!!!!!!??? I bet they don't have that many around for the Royals! I wonder how many there would be for Trump.

Morning 5.3 today
Congrats on the HS yesterday @Barrowman
@BobbleHat welcome back

Just chilling in the garden with a coffee as I post this, but know I need to get ready and head out to work shortly, I have a appointment at nine

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone

Sounds delicious. You could try a shot of ouzo? Personally, i prefer a nice chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I'll bring a bottle with me 😉

Good morning all great sunny day here, bit to humid for me, this lady doesn't glow she sweats like a pig tmi. Had a very bad night because of my right knee (long ongoing story) and it's to hot. Feeling tired and dopey.
You all have a good safe day, remember to take on lots of liquid and use lots of suncream plus a hat in the sun
PS nearly forgot bg 5.3 so close. Don't know about you but in hot weather my bg drops.
Lots of love
Pps take care all of you

Morning and a 7.2 and a night within range after the 2nd round of our lovely Chinese last night but did walk down to the town Hall last night for a local Planning Meeting, first one I ever been to but a lot of people there so walked back with some neighbours.
We both said the same thing the standard of communicators from local councillors when you have worked for very professional outfits is quite frankly not very good.I know they have a thankless task but you would have thought public speaking would be one skill they may want to be decent at.
Nice day yesterday on Wirral and have another Lunch Meeting in Cheshire so will visit both Waitrose and Tesco for the food and home for lunch.
My wife had a Gardening Club meeting and ended up talking to Speaker afterwards who had just returned from a holiday in North Yorkshire and she stayed at same hotel we are in Helmsley.
@Robin they were talking about the JD Vance visit to Charlbury on radio yesterday and impact of visit.
Weather going to be about 30 degrees but cloudy so not too oppressive at moment.
Enjoy and stay safe in the sun.

Morning all. 6.1 for me after a flat uneventful night. I did need to take 1 unit of NovoRapid at bedtime as my blood sugar was heading up courtesy of a half slice of bread leftover from lunch that I converted into a mini bacon sandwich to nibble on while I was watching TV. Last time I snacked and forgot to correct at bedtime, I got woken up early in the morning which is never pleasant as it can take me ages to get back to sleep some nights.

4.1 A low alarm at 4 and another at 7, genuine hypo this time as my fitful dream had symptoms of hypo lands!

A warm night here and this morning had a cooling breeze so been opening windows as my Lady has a problem with heat summer/winter and is forever turning fans on. I'm the opposite - permanently feeling cold during evening's and nights which is how I knew I was in hypo lands this a.m.
My BGs rose with DP and no JBs were needed, they rose to 7.2 before brekkas.

Our builder friend was a tad late this morning and he collided with my Lady getting to grips with Tuesday morning (I'd got up an hour earlier). Tyrone (builder) has started in earnest with the final job he's doing here before my brother and I settle the bill with him. I estimate 35K as he's been here for 4 weeks , my brother thinks less.

We're due to see Quatermass 2 at the Duke's tonight which will be nice. We're also be eating out as it's been a while. We had a chippy tea delivery last night. I had a large fish, mushy peas and gravy and bolussed 7u which turned out a flatline of BGs upto midnight, rising to 8.4. Funny then about the low alarms.

Have a good cool day, and stay safe.

6.2 this morning but a low at about 2am.

Have a good day everyone, and stay in the shade! Have bought a cheap “air cooler” but it’s very noisy and keeps cutting out. I think it’s a scam. I shouldn’t have succumbed to all the myriad online adverts. Annoying.

Nick

Good morning,
3.3 for me today.
We are having cladding work done on our building. Yesterday the builders wrapped our windows in something similar to sticky backed plastic... And we haven't been able to open then since. In the heatwave. We are used to leaving them closed in the day during the works so far but we then keep them open from 4pm - 8am to let the cool air in overnight.
My BG was between 2.6 and 3.3 all night. Ibr eaten so many sweets I'm a little worried about my teeth! And I slept so badly :(
Husband has complained to the builder rep but I don't know if anything can be done.

On a brighter note I am going for an ultrasound this morning, then plans to have a nice walk somewhere.

Take care all.

morning 5.4 today my hubby who is also a diabetic none medicated beat me first time ever his was 5.2, he is usually mid 6s but for some reason its improved over the last 2 weeks, were wondering if its something to do with the new treatment has been taking as he hasn't done anything different, yesterday progress in the kitchen was halted due to a leak this time it was the dishwasher, which is now sorted the pipe had split must have happened when hubby moved it to a different location, hopefully he can get more done today, daughter and boyfriend are flagging they pointed out they are up at 6am for work and by the time they get home around 4pm there shattered, hubby politely that we are up around 8am most days and he doesn't stop, and still carries on when they go up stairs at about 9pm, he also cooks the evening meal, he told them the younger generation are just not used to hard work.

Morning all. A 5.3 for me this fine morning.

Have a great day folks, and stay well.

Oh yes, we live in a castle! 😛
And here was me thinking your home is like the Room of Requirements in the Harry Potter films. Expands to meet the number of visitors as needed :D
