Group 7-day waking average?

5.3 this morning for me.

Lovely day yesterday, now near the Venetian Marina on the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union Canal by Cholmondeston Lock. Heading into Chester today for tonight’s stop.

Here’s us waiting for a lock yesterday.

@Robin - lovely pictures, looks fantastic!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning everyone. It’s a dull grey start to the day here and with a 4.2 on waking I had better get some food inside me pretty quick.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

A what turned out to be a false alarm at 2.30am. Said I was 3.9 with a down arrow. Took some glucose, went back to sleep. 8.2 this morning. A closer look at the graph shows I was 5.5 when suddenly one dot (reading) at 3.9. I must have squashed my sensor somehow. Never mind, no real damage done.

A really exciting trip (not) accompanying my wife to her dentist this afternoon on bus and tube. Hope it’s not too hot. We tend to travel together now she has had a diagnosis of early stage Parkinson’s disease, which she’s coping with really well. Just started some hydrotherapy treatment which seems to help.

Good morning, 6.2 for me today.

I've just heard news that our headteacher is resigning next term. I don't know what to think. He made a lot of people redundant, including some that could now take his role. Everyone has been pretty upset but I've always felt a bit bad for him as clearly the school was in some difficulties when he came into the role. Then last week he abruptly took his daughter out of the school. And now he is going. What I am feeling is a bit irrational, but it feels a bit as if we have been left in the lurch!
I do understand though, really. Just a bit concerned for the future as it all seems a bit up in the air...!

Oh well. As my husband said, perhaps the next one will pay me a little more!!

It's another sunny Berkshire morning as we head into what's forecast to be 5 days of 30+ temperatures down here, starting tomorrow. Wednesday's a washday so I'll have no trouble getting everything dry on the line. First load is already out. Hopefully everything will be done by lunchtime so that I can settle down and watch the tennis. Fewer matches at this stage of the Championships so it's mostly afternoon starts now.

One of these this morning, first for a while:-

Whatever your plans, have a good day and stay safe in the sun.

It is thank you! But 7mph is way too fast for the canals  Speed limit is 4mph, but as narrowboats don’t have speedometers the rule is to not go fast enough to make a breaking wake, it varies depending on width and depth of the canal. Really peaceful on the canals and despite meeting up with other bots at locks you are often on your own cruising along the “cut”.
Oops I was thinking of the speed limits posted on the Thames (our last boarding holiday) and our local river, the Witham. We do get a few narrowboats visiting the local moorings near the Old Tattershall Bridge.

Morning all and 5.2 for me.

I just managed to catch the only rain due for a week or so walking to get some bird seed.

Hopefully down to our new studio this evening to start setting up. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring other than we need something for tea. Better stay clear of antiques centres in case any more bargains appear.

Have a good day everyone.

Hi all

6.8 this morning. Enjoying a nice couple of nights in the Lake District.

I messed up last night, had a meal which I had taken insulin for and then decided to walk a fell when the insulin was at its peak, the thought of the insulin being at its peak hadn’t even crossed my mind.

Half way up the fell I started to feel a bit shakey so checked my cgm and it read 4 with a downwards arrow. Took 4 glucose tablets, sat for 15 minutes and set off back down.

I didn’t make it to the top, I must plan better. This is all new to me so it was a lesson.
