Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all and 6.3 for me.

Went to a local antique centre yesterday. I didn't intend to buy another clarinet as you usually see student models at fair prices in there. I'm not sure how the price was arrived at but they had a pro instrument for sale at much less than it was worth and looked in good condition with one slightly dodgy key. One hours work later and it's playing like a dream. Only question is now do I keep or sell? Not a bad quandary to have.

Next stop today a bit of motor vehicle maintenance.

Have a good day everyone.

5.7 on a nice and sunny Berkshire morning, although there's a cool northerly wind keeping the temperature down. A brief respite before yet another heatwave, which starts on Thursday.

Our eldest got home from Madeira at 03:13 this morning after their flight into Stansted was delayed by 4 hours. Just as well that arrangements were hastily made to pick them up as they'd planned to travel home by train, but the last Stansted Express had left before they were due to land. He's back at work today but currently WFB(edroom).

Usual Tuesday routine - swim before lunch, then dog walking with my wife before tea. In the meantime I need to take a run out to the garden centre shop to get some fruit & veg and one of their bakery loafs (or should that be loaves?).

@Colin g congrats on your HS yesterday

Have a good day all, whatever your plans.

9.2 On a cooler (or is this an illusion?) morning, slightly overcast but dry - I think it'll stay dry for the coming week or so according for forecasts, getting warmer to by the end of the week; maybe get a proverbial 'Heatwave'.

The builders arrived and started work on the house at around 8. Nowt but clouds of dust at the back interceded by incessant banging! How my wife sleeps through it, I've no idea?

Have a good healthy day whatever the weather throws at you.

Good moaning! A rather unexpected 13.4. The annoying thing is I cannot think of anything different to me last few evenings.

Hoping I get some physio today. Despite being back from hospital by lunchtime yesterday I didn't get any for fourth day in a row!

Closed the window last night as got quite chilly.
And they are calling it rehab. Time for a fuss I would think.

Good morning forum folks (if I manage to complete this post before noon)
7.3 this morning.
Donned beesuit yesterday as the fruit cage was full of wasps. The tayberries were munched to bits bar two so the chickens had the lot. Managed to pick a few raspberries and redcurrants though. The wasps were sniffing round the blueberries so I picked all the ripe ones. Made a gooseberry sauce in the afternoon. They are quite sweet so no sugar added. I will check them again now they are cold and add shredded stevia leaf if needed. I will use some in a gooseberry fool and freeze the rest.
Keep fit this morning to a Latino playlist, fabulous! Walked home after a coffee with a friend.

Fabulous scenery @Robin the alps are stunning
Your holiday sounds so peaceful @Eternal422 . It's easier to relax when you are travelling at 7mph.

Off to craft club later. Taking my knitting as it's a simple pattern and I don't need to see what I am doing.
Have a good day and take care x

Well the exhibitions were both great! Very different from each other but the Hiroshige was one of the best things I’ve seen at the British Museum in forever.

5.9

They used to paint and print paper to cover the ribs of hand fans. The fans were generally only meant to last a matter of weeks. This is one such work of art designed for a hand fan.

Van Gogh and Whistler (amongst others) were inspired by his art.

Morning and a 5.7 for me and pretty flat line skimming along the floor.Am registering more time in Red (4% over last 7 days for first time ever) at night but happy enough as is lowering my average BG.
Really nice day yesterday and lovely lunch out and everyone asked where my wife was and why was she not there.
So short day and went home afterwards to send some e mails and a very similar day today as heat builds up.
Interesting feature on local news last night covering a family in Liverpool where the mother of 3 young children under 7 all had Type 1 diabetes.
She explained that several people criticised her for feeding them the wrong food which she then had to educate them on- such lovely kids.
Have got an early start so will go now but have a good day all and stay cool.

Morning all. 5.3 at 6am.

Had an up and down day yesterday ( literally). I never got my jam made as I didn’t feel “ right”. I woke with a headache and I was very light headed, kept losing my balance. My BGs shot right up to over 13 mid morning, I almost took a correction but something held me back. I went to Aldi for for few things, it’s not far and I wasn’t out long. Got home, put shopping away and BGs plummeted! Had an early lunch, BGs 6.1 going down. Alarm went off 3.9 as I was eating. I thought it’d be fine I’d had a one slice sandwich and a packet of crisps. Alarm went off again, had a bar of Moser Roth sea salt dark chocolate. Alarm went down to 3.6, I felt so sick I couldn’t eat anything else. Just sat and it did eventually go up to 5. I pulled myself together and set up the ironing board. Was hard work as I felt so wish washy, but half way through Bake Off: The Professionals my BGs shot up again to almost 12! It must have just been the act of looking at cake that did it! I finished my ironing and started to feel back to normal, so much so I ended up sorting out my wardrobe and putting away my winter clothes. Weird. I can only think I’m maybe getting a cold as I’ve been sneezing a lot these last couple of days. I feel fine today. I absolutely hate the sudden ups and downs, they make me feel so cr*p. Eughhh!

Up early doors as we have double trouble from 8.30. No sunshine today, light cloud but mild. Perfect for running around the garden/park/river.

Have a grand day.

Morning all. 🙂 7.2 here.

Morning all, 4.3 here, I must have left Dawn up a mountain somewhere.
Heh heh, nicely done.

It’s the final work event of the year - a big bash to celebrate our learners’ achievements. Everyone gets a certificate, there’s free coffee and Welsh cakes, and Côr y Dysgwyr / the Welsh learners’ choir belt out a few classics (to the bewilderment of our foreign students who’ve probably never heard Welsh before). Can’t wait for it to be over LOL!

Poor you @eggyg - I hope things are more stable today.

Morning all. Despite having all yesterday wirhout any spikes or drops i went to bed in the 5s (which usually keeps me ok), dropped to 4.9 so had 1 JB to stop any lower, then it shot straight up to 10 and hovered between 10 and 11 all night. Woke to 9.6, and its still only 8.8 now despite me bolussing for breakfast. I wish it would hurry up and go down i'm hungry.

I'm off to the hairdressers later this morning for a cut and colour then to the surgery for my diabetes eye screening this afternoon. Older daughter and son in law are coming round later and we decided to have a takeaway as a treat (thats me setting my alarm for overnight then to check my levels aren't skyrocketing) but it will be nice and save me from cooking.

@eggyg hope you continue to feel better today.

@ColinUK those pictures are stunning. I particularly like the Hiroshige.

Have a good day everyone. Its getting hotter from today so keep cool.

Good moaning! Another frustrating overnight rise waling at 12.9 while a few days ago I was having overnight hypos. It's not helped by it being decreed I cannot have more than 9u basal (Isophane) in the evening when I was on 12u most of last year.

Nice and sunny but I can only get outside with a visitor...

Your holiday sounds so peaceful @Eternal422 . It's easier to relax when you are travelling at 7mph.
It is thank you! But 7mph is way too fast for the canals  Speed limit is 4mph, but as narrowboats don’t have speedometers the rule is to not go fast enough to make a breaking wake, it varies depending on width and depth of the canal. Really peaceful on the canals and despite meeting up with other bots at locks you are often on your own cruising along the “cut”.

A 5.3 for me today. 🙂 It's starting to heat up again.

Dez

Morning 8.1 so another day waking up slightly higher than desired, then today have DP currently 11.1 pre breakfast… today looks like another day of fine weather

yesterday I spoke to a pharmacist regarding a side effect Ive been having from Mounjaro, she sold me something as an over the counter medication, then suggested my GP might be able to prescribe that item if it helps

@ColinUK just saw your post regarding waterskiing behind a narrowboat… 🙄

Have a Wonderful Wednesday folks 🙂
