Morning all. 🙂 It was 5.4 on the G6 or 8.4 with a finger prick - I’ve had a couple of not-so-great G6 sensors lately. Tech is a pain sometimes.

Just in case you forget about your HS @gail2 😉 🙂 - CONGRATULATIONS on your HS this morning!

Nice trainers @ColinUK. Very understated...unlike you friend! 😉 Good luck with the monitor.

Morning all, 8.3 here, overtreated a gardening hypo yesterday evening. We took a cutting from a honeysuckle a couple of years ago, and it’s big enough to plant out now, but the gap it’s destined for has filled in with other stuff in the meantime (not all weeds, just the stuff that spreads, like geraniums and crocosmia, and OK, some weeds!) So I was out there yesterday evening when it got a bit cooler, yanking stuff out.

GM,

5.6 for me. A question, my fasting blood glucose is pretty similar to my post eating tests, usually 5.5 or there about. Is the fasting result due to the morning liver dump,do I need to do a bit of tweaking to carbs during the day? Or shall I leave well alone?

Am in West London today, quite an adventure on the tube from North London. It's like being a visitor from Mars.

Ok, time to go.

Wishing you all a lovely day, a little cooler if possible

Morning all. Alarm woke me at 4.9 but have been in target again overnight, no higher than about 7. This heat definitely has some advantages. Weekly shop day so i'll be off soon. No craft day with my friend today as she's on holiday, i may try and do some stitching. I bought this kit but i'm not enjoying doing it. I won't give up though, it will be finished.

@ColinUK i had to fit the heart monitor for mum (they sent it through RM!). She just had to tick boxes and note times when she felt anything on the list, breathless, exercise etc. I can't remember whether she could take a short shower (she didn't anyway).

Congrats on the HS @gail2.

Good morning was 6.9 on waking today

BS levels were slightly raised at various points yesterday especially following a samosa & banana I snacked on at lunchtime, then a slice of pizza & ice cream yesterday evening, actually went to bed and BS was 13.2 so was good see levels under 7 on waking

Yesterday had a really good chat with a good friend (previously he was a customer) I didn’t even know he was diabetic until I spotted he had a Libra on his desk

Another warm day by the look of it

just spotted a mouse scurrying across the back garden, we previously thought we had mice living in the summerhouse (actually we use it more as a shed) so will have to investigate again, my first thought is get a mouse trap, Mikey/Minnie will be lucky I shall get a humane trap as said mouse actually looked quite cute and if we trap the mouse, it can be released in a park on the other side of town

Have a Wonderful Wednesday

A 6.1 for me today. 🙂

Dez

Morning everyone. Another brilliant sunny day here and a happy 4.6 for me.

Have a lovely day folks and stay well.

Morning

Massive congratulations to @gail2 on your HS today.

4.6 today, another walk round to mum as she has her medicine review at the docs this afternoon, this of course caused loads of panic while I was there yesterday, I told her all her panicking won’t help her blood pressure which is mainly the issue she has, but at 89 she is on less meds than me, a much lower dose of statin, and only needs 1 metformin a day for her diabetes.

@ColinUK sending hugs to you today.

Good morning everyone! BG 6, and I just realised I hadn't changed the time in my Libre after flying!

I'm back in my Spanish home for an almost 2 week holiday. Timed it so I left England after my local Pride (I volunteered this year, was a good but intense weekend!) and was here in time for my birthday yesterday. Being a weekday it was a nice small lunch with my parents and a couple other relatives. Today I'm inviting my old highschool friends out for pizza and a good catch up session, and on the weekend I'll get a bigger family reunion with belated cake. So many plans! :D

The person I mentioned dating is now my girlfriend so that's some good news to share with my friends. She was not so pleased I was going away so soon after starting dating but I'm sure she'll forgive me. She said she's taking me out for a late birthday dinner when I'm back 😉

Good morning everyone 4.3 for me
hope everyone's doing ok and have a lovely day !!!

Nervousness aside, there’s clearly something wrong. So far this week I’ve not had a day without a funny spell.
Monday I had one going in to the therapist’s office, again at the RA Summer Exhibition (which we barely scratched the surface of. Yesterday I had one in the morning and two in the afternoon. Today I I’ve had two already. So discomfort etc aside it is important that it’s investigated.

Oh and I’ve clipped all my chest thatch right down.

Well that was quick and painless. No wires. No monitor on a strap or anything.
It’s tiny.
Looks like a Y-shaped fidget spinner. And it’s stuck to my left pec.

Can’t shower with it on but everything else is fine.

I’ve got spare pads if it becomes loose. Return it to reception Friday morning.

I did comment to a friend that it can’t be angina as I’m far too young for that. He lowered his specs, peered over the top of them and reminded me that it’s physical age not mental age that counts. The sod
That made me smile. Reminds me of when I had a flu jab and was offered the pneumonia jab at the same time, as I hadn't ever had one. I asked, jokingly, whether my immune system would cope and the nurse peered over her glasses and said 'Martin, we give triple vaccines to babies'.
