Group 7-day waking average?

It's taken me an hour to get through everyone's text having to use Google translate for all you clever sods speaking in tongues.
I picked up some German when living in Berlin back in the early 60s (my father was in the Army and his regiment was stationed there), so having to choose between German or French (no other options) when back in the UK was a no-brainer. I'm still learning, 60 years on, these days via Duolingo, so not quite the clever sod you imagine - it's the only one of my 'O' Levels I failed :(

Good afternoon was 6.6 today

Had toast with peanut butter and a banana for breakfast this morning, then been to my walking football, exercise & wellness program, BS was peaking into double figures following breakfast that but did drop back in 3 range hours later it will be interesting to see if it’s decided I no longer need to be prescribed insulin as it will be 4 weeks (tomorrow) that I last injected novomix and just been taking Metformin plus I’m also on Mounjaro TIR is showing as 91% whereas whilst taking insulin it never got higher than 95% obviously weighed myself this morning am now sub 80KG weighing in at 79.5 KG, so another 3KGTO BE (according to NHS calculations) not overweight
just about to have a light lunch and BS is currently 6.9

Congrats to all HS producers today, yesterday & others I’m sure I’ve missed recently

here @ the @goodybags bungalow we seem to be having a return of the slugs in our back garden, recently we picked 30 off a single planter full of flowers, last night she picked 20 on our lawn, and our lawn isn’t even real grass but a synthetic surface, anyway this morning we noticed some of the flowers had been eaten.

Have a superb Saturday everyone

9.9 this morning(?) when I eventually woke, on this cloudy and windy day. Cleared to to sunny intervals just now... still breezy though and a top temperature of 19C according to the MET office 🙄

My course of antibiotics finishes in the morning, and my thigh blister is looking tons better today, still a touch itchy (mind you my leg itching in general, continues).

My OH has promised me an evening meal at the Toby this evening, with some friends - I'm looking forward to that.

Congratulations go to @ColinUK & @Martin.A on your HSs.

And congratulations to your wife @Eternal422. on the MBE.

Afternoon folks. Finally getting around to reading my updates and posts etc on here and social media. 9.6 this morning. Had a special fried rice last night. First one since diagnosis but obviously too carby for me now.

Congratulations to @ColinUK and @Martin.A on your HS. I won't subject you to my O level French and German as it was nearly 50 years ago.

Congratulations to Mrs @Eternal422 on being awarded an MBE.:D Your family must be very proud of you.
Your poor mum must have had quite a fright with the fall and ambulance visit to hospital. Hope she recovers soon @Eternal422

No rain last night so everything needs watering today. Really hot again so just doing laundry and pottering round the garden
Take care everyone and hope you get some of this Lincolnshire sunshine 😎<3

Try beansprouts instead of fried rice with your Chinese meal

Oh yes! My brother gave me some cash yesterday so, saw my first Bank of England £50 note with King Charles III on it: just one note as the rest were still Queen Elizabeth II; he looks older than his mum was at the time her image was done! :D

I had been wondering, on & off, when we would get the new money with King Charles on it; have now seen one BOE £50 note! :D
I've got a couple of twenties but not seen any others yet. Hardly handle cash these days, just birthday/ xmas money from family really.

10.2 today

Fantastic news about your wife's MBE @Eternal422 - presume it's a trip to Buck P for the pair of you?
Yes, it looks like it, can’t believe it’s real! It may be up to 6 months before the investiture apparently, so something to look forward to!

Sorry I am rather monopolising this thread today.

French is for girls? Never heard of that before. My dad, brother and husband all went to boy's schools and all studied French. My dad also failed his O level - twice.

I love languages, and nearly did a degree called "Physics with a Year in Europe". Sad that it's in decline as a formal school subject, but as you, say, there's Duolingo. Daughter celebrated a 150-day streak today in German (wasn't offered at her school, but hubby and I did it for GCSE and she's 1/8 German so she wanted to learn a bit)

Slug Patrol has been deployed here two nights in a row @goodybags Been collecting the blighters by torchlight. Not accounted for as many as you though (yet).

Congratulations to Mrs Eternal422 on being awarded an MBE. Is it impolite to ask for what it is being awarded?
It is for her work at Birmingham Children’s Trust for services to Children with Disabilities and their Families. Very proud of her and very well deserved, although now retired she was totally dedicated and passionate in helping the children and their families, some through some very tough times.

Thank you! Very proud and still can’t quite believe it. We knew at the beginning of May, must admit I thought the letter was some sort of scam at first! We couldn’t say anything until the Honours List was published, so never felt it was real until now!

Mum is ok now and we have taken her back to the care home. She is a bit confused, but seems settled now at least. She needs to keep the stitch (one long running sort of stitch to close the 5cm(?) gash in her scalp ) in for another 12 days or so. But at least she is ok.
