Group 7-day waking average?

We also have a special day today - my wife has been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list to receive an MBE!
Congratulations to you and your wife.

Morning and a 7 for me after a bit of DP but stayed in range all night and managed to juggle the insulin to deal with the Pizza.
Very warm night and apparently we had about 15 minutes of heavy rain which I slept though so just a lovely warm night.
Quiet day yesterday and Pizza was lovely and apart from the influx of flies which our dogs hate it was such a nice evening.
One of our dogs has to have the collar of shame on to stop him from continually scratch his face which has caused a wound.
Congrats on the “ ensemble” of HSs yesterday and on Colin aujourd hui.
Just thought I would add my French o level vocab to @eggyg to help her with the relatives 🙂
Trip to garden centre today and will try and get in garden but have to have breakfast first.
Away in Oxford next week so a relaxing w/ end so all enjoy whatever you are up to

Good morning

Congratulations to your wife @Eternal422, and sorry to hear about your mum, hope she gets back to the care home soon.

Congratulations @ColinUK on your HS this today, must be read with an Essex accent.

As for me 4.7 after a restless night as bedroom was stuffy and I had to close the window due to the storm, todays plans are big shop, finish the cake followed by knit & natter, then this evening watching the Grand Prix qualifying.

A 6.5 this morning after an evening and night of ups and downs. For the usual reason - over corrections in both directions. Got to do better.

We’re off to the Wigmore Hall this morning to hear some Bach Brandenburg Concertos coupled with a new work by Brian Elias a family friend.

Happy days everyone.

Nick

I am back after a self-imposed exile. 7.5 this morning.

The reason: For the first time since diagnosis (April 2019). I saw a specialist diabetes doctor yesterday at my GP's surgery. Possibly because I have an ongoing issue with a bad case of Cellulitis that won't shift (6 weeks now). The doctors in the hospital are concerned that my diabetes is causing complications, and "what did my diabetes team have to say?". I did chuckle with them at the notion of a team. Long story short, GP suggested I see the specialist. The outcome was an empathetic conversation with a doctor who listened, and we put forward a plan to get me back on track. She was even pleased I was taking my BG measurement (in sharp contrast to the number of times I was told I was being silly and it was unnecessary).

Le Mans 24 Hour race starts today - so yay

Just thought I would add my French o level vocab to @eggyg to help her with the relatives 🙂
They made me laugh. Our “French Relatives” are born and bred Carlisle like us. My SIL has embraced the language and can speak to the locals really well, whereas BIL just grunts!

Edited to add: talking of all things French, we have just had the mother of all storms, the crack of thunder was louder than any I’ve heard in the UK, the last time we’ve heard it like that was in France with our “French” relatives. ( Mr Eggy’s brother and his wife), I don’t recall the name of the village we were having lunch in but it was in high up in the Midi Pyrenees. We were sat outside when it started, it was July 25th, our wedding anniversary, and the rain started and the thunder and lightning. Never heard anything like it in my life, it was so close and SO loud, we thought it had hit the church spire!
That’s how loud it’s been today. Just rumbling away in the background now. It’s been very exciting. The birds are very dishevelled!

Ahhh! Took me ages to set up the dish washer but, it’s done now & ready to go. Just literally sat down, taking a “Gasping Stop”, had quite a few of them but, they’re definitely less gaspy now! Then, do a first load of dishes: it’s tiny & 4 full place settings, 4 each of dinner plate, side plate, bowl & cup, was maybe a bit exaggerated but, need to fill it first to tell how much it fits? Will need multiple cycles to work through the backlog & then, just keep on top of it after that! A Sweaty emoji! from connecting the pipes: I’m not a plumber & it took me a few goes to fit where to what right; my poor right wrist is hurting now from tightening the gasket screws which, I cannot do left handed! My wrist has a lot more flexibility now with the daily physio stretches & I forget about it most of the time but, it still lacks strength which, is where I can still hurt myself when I forget! I had noticed it recently & I think it’s time to add the additional strengthening exercises to the daily stretches?

Despite our weather warning for heavy rain and thunder yesterday evening we only had a light shower and no thunder, and it's bright, sunny and dry this morning. Pretty dreadful in other places, though. I hope no one's having to mop up.

Congrats @ColinUK on this morning's HS. I did German at school (boys' school - French was for girls, or so we thought) so not only is it a Glückwunsch from me but I'm joining you on that step:-

Only ever got a hat-trick once, so fingers crossed for tomorrow. Congrats @Barrowman and @Grannylorraine on yours yesterday.

Fantastic news about your wife's MBE @Eternal422 - presume it's a trip to Buck P for the pair of you?

Unfortunately no Brits left in the tennis after Raducanu went out yesterday, although she was up against the #1 seed. Semi-finals this afternoon, so need to get the grocery shopping done & dusted by lunchtime. Still just me and our youngest here until Monday, when our eldest gets back from Rhodes. Wife's not back until a week tomorrow.

Still lots of wet weather around. Hope it doesn't spoil anyone's plans for the day.

4.9for me 5 9 2 hours later after normal breakfast

Awww! o_O:rofl: Little Miss Numpty who’s never used a dishwasher before loaded it the wrong way up which I only realised nce I had it going on the highest temp Strong setting: had to pause it & reload the cups upside down as the water sprays from the bottom up; the water was just sitting inside the cups the first time! o_O Ah well! It’s a first time for everything! Only managed to fit in the cutlery, 1 place setting of dinner, side plates & saucer, & 7 cups. Can do the rest of the plates & bowls, upside down, later! 🙄😳

Had a bit of difficulty reaching up to put in the water manually as I’m only 155cm with the machine sitting up on the sink drainage area. May need to get a wee wooden stool for me to step up on for easier access? A Standing On TippyToes emoji!

A Little Miss Happy Bunny right now! :D:party:

And it was a 4.8 for me earlier this morning..

Have a good day folks and stay well....

Size de tebrikler (congratulations to you too)

6.3 this morning and insulin resistance seems to have finally hit me, I'm now on 1u:3.8g!

We are on our way to Wales to visit my sister, niece and nephew as it's the children's birthdays and they are having a rock climbing party. 7yo is super excited!

Morning all - weather changeable, but sun is getting through quite a bit, unlike yesterday when it rained unremittingly all day.

6.3 this morning, with a flat line throughout the night except for a dip under range between 4 and 5. I had the phone on "Sleep" mode so perhaps that's why it didn't alarm. I was awake anyway as I had the runs again, which resulted in me being up at 4 and again at 6 to visit the bathroom. I think it's some tablets I'm on i.e Glucophage SR that I could probably come off now that I'm on the HCL. Been on them for years after putting on a lot of weight and insulin needs going up and up.

Nothing much on today... just seen our next door but one neighbour being taken away in an ambulance, he's well into his 90s, partially sighted and very frail. Apparently he fell, but luckily his daughter was there, as she is at least twice a day. I hope he will be OK

Félicitations aux deux membres @ColinUK et @martin A qui ont eu des spécialités de la maison.
(OK I cheated and used Google Translate :rofl:o_O - but I can parle Francais after a fashion - just about to have a week to practice!)

Congratulations to Mrs Eternal422 on being awarded an MBE. Is it impolite to ask for what it is being awarded?

Have a good one all...
