Group 7-day waking average?

@Eternal422 love your references to Hatton Locks and am sure many people are aware of these major “lock systems” when they are in the countryside but maybe not some of the urban ones.
On our local news they featured Marple Locks which looks great but largely hidden from likes of me who never knew they existed even though I thought I knew the area well.
Glad you enjoy my bits about Hatton! Never done the Marple Flight, unfortunately there are issues on the Bosley flight on the Macclesfield canal below them, so we would currently struggle to get up to Marple at the moment, but I’m sure one day we will go through them!

3.7 and I somehow slept through the alarms.

Forecast to be wet today but so far looks reasonable, just cloudy. We are going out for lunch with my wife’s nephew and children (his wife has worked a night shift as a resident doctor in children’s A&E so will be home sleeping). Later we have a meeting with the care home to go through care plans for Mum & Dad, so hopefully that will be useful.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Morning all. I woke about 7.30 to a 6.3. Must have dozed back off because later the alarm woke me at 4.9.

Apart from dusting, vaccuming and cleaning, nothing on today. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast for all day so i won't be venturing out anywhere. Hubby is at work until 4pm so a quiet day really.

Have a good Saturday everyonr.

A very flat graph overnight. 8.2 as I went to sleep, expecting it to come down overnight. It didn’t. Ended up at over 10 so took an early bolus 3.5 units at 5am. Gradual (very gradual) reduction until pre-breakfast when it was 9.2 but dropping. Took 7.5 units and had porridge after a walk up the road to collect the paper. Now it’s 6.0 which is OK.

All this to convince myself to up my long term by another point. It will be 23 units of Toujeo, up from 21 a little while ago. I will discuss all of this with my SDN when I have a voice call appointment in a couple of weeks time.

Sorry if this is oversharing!

Nick

It's a Len for me this morning. I woke up at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep until about half past 5, then slept till 9
Maybe it was the shock of what my new specs are going to cost me
Have a great day everyone.

It’s not oversharing Nick. Maybe someone can shed some light on it.

I just love canals not just from the boating side but from their historical importance and industrial development.
I changed my degree from Geography and Economics to Geography and Economic History as I found how much I was interested in the industrial history of the 19th Century.
So visiting such places and studying them on maps is a real passion I am keen on rediscovering after a long time in the wilderness.

Morning all and 6.6 for me. Basal down by 10 units per day since April. Am I on summer levels yet? Are there more reductions to come or will it start to rise next week? Stay tuned for another thrilling installment.

Quite frankly the weather is a bit sh one t . Allegedly due to improve next week.

Today I'll be playing at hunt the cables and adaptors prior to moving into our new rehearsal room in July.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning

4.0 today, off for big shop, then knit & natter. As I have one finished my lunch wrap all except sewing in the ends, I will be finishing off a baby cardigan.
And how many babies does it take to make one? o_O

Morning all. A happy 5.3 for me earlier this overcast day.

Have a good day folks.

Dropped my wife off at local Church Hall with cakes etc.
A couple of photos as others not downloaded and rain has not helped.
She rang me saying she had forgotten the chocolate sauce for profiteroles so I had to walk down to town with it. I went low on coming back so had to have a Scone ( bakers privilege) left behind.Funny she left it in a container saying Diabetes Meds available in case of emergency.

7 for me before rising sharply after last nights' wild BG movements, hypo's/hyper's. We had gone to a Dementia Hub for my OH - learned a few things and met several more people. Then we went to the Tandoori for a slap-up meal, unfortunately had too much bolus as I had factored in a pudding - no puddings' available to my horror. A couple of hours later I knew about the bolus. Several JBs and biscuits later at the Playhouse and my BG shot up, had a correction at 1am, followed by a couple of coffees', then bed.

Pouring rain when I woke. Sunny spells now - you can never second-guess the weather.

If I've missed any HSs these past couple of days I apologise.

Hope you have a good rest-of-the-day/evening.

Evening was 7.9 this morning, Mr very late on parade today again (expect some will be going to bed)

woke up late this morning, but luckily just in time for the football exercise program, Alexa woke me but I remember telling her to shut up at 8 O'clock then dozed off again for another hour, actually woke at 09:10 good job I did as my mate came to collect me just after 09:30
rain stayed off until we finished on the pitch, so that was good, the program today was more activity than a wellness MH support as a different coach took it, but still really good and over a coffee we talked about amongst other things role models.

My Blood Sugars have been great good all day today, between 7 & occasionally peaking up to 10. Something, but it’s soon dropping back into single figures, over the last 24 hours I’ve consumed a bag of Lidl Henry Hippos so to increase my last 7 day TIR back up to 92 was a welcome sight, so far it seems I might be possibly OK without insulin.

Slugs are returning to our garden, yesterday evening after dark, Wife & I went on a slug looking for excercise in the planters and found quite easily 3 dozen
so they were disposed of sorry we don’t want them to eat the flowers and vegetables, strangely they seem to prefer to congregate in certain plants and don’t go near others

Morning all - best I can say is that it's changeable... started off grey and dull but the sun is getting through a bit now.

5.9 this morning, which is fine... happy with anything in the 5s and it came at the end of a long flat line.

@eggyg I do admire you the way you just casually "throw together" a buffet lunch for the hordes, including suitable things for all ages!

@Martin.A Congrats on your HS.

A well, gotta rush, meeting a friend in a cafe in town for lunch. I know already what I'm having - (chicken with lemon mayo in a baguette) cos they haven't changed their menu in 20 years. Then we are going to the cinema to see "the Salt Road". Hopefully nice scenes of the area where I live!

Take care all....
I've just been to see The Salt Road with some friends who I'm on a bell ringing tour based around Plymouth and it seemed an appropriate film for a Saturday evening. Some great photography of the coastline.
