Group 7-day waking average?

4.4 after low 4s and numerous Libre alarms in the early hours. I resorted to a yogurt at around 5am but still didn’t come up much.

Had an awful quick visit to my parents yesterday evening. Mum’s dementia was really bad and she said some horrible things. It’s so hard not to talk about it with her, especially as she says that Dad is lying to everyone saying she is “barmy”. I just don’t know what to say to her when she’s like this. She even had forgotten her sister visited last week and didn’t know that her sister had given her the basket of flowers that are in her room. Yet she is convinced she can go and live with her sister. It’s either that or she is going to walk under a lorry and end it all.

We are visiting them both again this afternoon. Not looking forward to it at all.

Morning was 8.1 this morning slightly than usual for a wake up BS
after a decent nights sleep last night (about 9 hours) I just has 2 hour nap after taking my wife to work

Have a Terrific Thursday everyone

Have woken up to another grey and damp Berkshire morning and it's not forecast to get any better. Quite the opposite, in fact. Wet grass so Slug Patrol deployed but only found 3 slugs and 2 snails. At least I got one of these to kick off my day:-

Congrats @Barrowman and @PattiEvans on yours yesterday.

Thursday, so usual swim before lunch, then settle down to watch the tennis. It's Women's SFs at Roland Garros this afternoon and all eyes will be on the unseeded wildcard Lois Boisson. What a tournament she's having.

Hope your weather's better than ours, though I suspect it might not be, and you can enjoy the day.

She sounds sweet too @Elenka_HM - are there any more flavours of Dextrose she can taste-test for you?
She really is 🙂 I don't know about more flavours, I've seen "original" Dextros which she said are disgusting and I am inclined to believe it, and I've never tried the orange ones because I'm not usually a fan of artificial orange flavour. My local shops have orange, blackcurrant and tropical Dextros, probably could find others online but I don't think that's worth it unless I buy in bulk.

Morning all. A happy 4,7 for me today.

Have a great day folks and stay well.

The blackcurrant ones are vile! The orange ones are OK. Don't taste of orange really.

Morning folks. Slept in till 9am after a disturbed nights sleep as hubby was up and down all night visiting the loo due to an upset tummy. No surprise that BG was up to 8.6 by then as I hadn't had breakfast.
Very busy day in garden yesterday. Moved several wheelbarrow loads of woodchip around to mulch trees and top of the chicken pen. Helped hubby with replacing the wooden edge of our veggie beds and topping up the compost. Weeded another one ready for leeks and beans.

Congratulations on your HS @Martin.A
It's still raining as I type but supposed to dry this afternoon. Inside Jobs today I think.
Have a good Thursday and take care.

I’m so sorry. It’s so difficult isn’t it? MIL was the same. Mr Eggy found it hard to deal with and his visits got shorter and shorter, the paranoia is common I’m afraid. I can’t offer much advice just to say it’s the dementia talking not your mum. Big hugs. X

Morning all - best I can say is that it's changeable... started off grey and dull but the sun is getting through a bit now.

5.9 this morning, which is fine... happy with anything in the 5s and it came at the end of a long flat line.

@eggyg I do admire you the way you just casually "throw together" a buffet lunch for the hordes, including suitable things for all ages!

@Martin.A Congrats on your HS.

A well, gotta rush, meeting a friend in a cafe in town for lunch. I know already what I'm having - (chicken with lemon mayo in a baguette) cos they haven't changed their menu in 20 years. Then we are going to the cinema to see "the Salt Road". Hopefully nice scenes of the area where I live!

Take care all....

I've not pricked today finger tips too denty again. however, I have 6.7 a few days back and also a 5.5 :D I didn't get round to posting here, busy doing stuff :D

Wishing everyone a fab glucose day :D Fab weather for the Ducks

What was it about last night silver, I felt like I didn't sleep properly all night, like every hour I woke up and looked to see if it was time to get up. Did something happen in the world or did the sun eject a massive mass.

Keep well and safe everyone.

I have nights like that too. Last night I woke every time hubby got out of bed and took ages to get back to sleep. Thankfully he is feeling better now. Early night tonight. I get very grumpy if I am sleep deprived 😡😱

I quite like the original Dextros! But that's because they don't really taste of anything - not keen on very sweet fruit flavours! I'm also a fan of the Lucozade original tablets, although haven't had them for years (I wonder if they still sell those?!)
