Group 7-day waking average?

Forgot to mention that diabetes review went well. Nurse happy with HbA1c result of 48. Keeping medication the same at the moment. Next review October which will be normal annual review in person with feet checks and retinopathy check a bit later in December.

5.8 on another lovely, sunny Berkshire morning. Just wish that chilly north easterly would ease off.

Usual Friday routine - Big Shop this morning and accompany my wife when she does her Cinnamon Trust dog walk this afternoon. I started going with her last Autumn when she felt uneasy about walking the dog in the dark and have just carried on. I don't mind. It's a good hour's exercise, and I don't have to do anything dog-related.

Our eldest is in the office again, 3rd day in a row, after his employer said they wanted to see more people in more often. Coincidentally my wife's employer has recently said the same. Seems to be a growing trend. I even read yesterday that HSBC are proposing linking attendance to bonuses.

Enjoy Poet's Day, whatever you're doing. Pleased to hear that your diabetes review went well @silver minion

Morning, 5.1 today. Yesterday was 5.3. My day will come soon, surely!

Last day of school for a bit. I didn't sleep well last night so a little tired.

Although I am happy because I wrote a piece for the school newsletter which the headteacher praised this morning. I'm pleased she liked it as I wasn't sure if it fit the theme or not - I found a passage from our school archives which I found amusing, and wrote a short history of the school to go with it, alongside some old photos. I'm really pleased SLT like it!

Morning everyone. Back down to the 4’s today with another 4.3 it seems that if I don’t go to bed with a BG higher than 10 it’s always down in the 4s in the morning.

Anyway, the sun is shining so have a good day people and stay safe.

Afternoon all.5.3 for me this morning.Although reader said I'd spent a lot of time in red .Didn't hear an alarm.Knocked my time in range from 100% down to 75 .The little tinka .Suns shining after a grey cold start . Breeze starting to pick up and wind and rain on the way .Must be a bank holiday weekend.Stay safe people

A 5.3 this morning which was encouraging then fell off the wagon by scoffing half a piece of walnut and carrot cake mid-morning when visiting Petersham Nurseries in Richmond to buy some herbs. I should have taken a shot to compensate but didn’t. Hey ho. Great cake, even better plants despite high prices and high BS.

A strange night & it was a case of Pat Benatar’s Sleep Is a Battlefield because I literally had nightmare after nightmare so, I woke high today 08:45 BS 10.9. And my overnight graph is like climbing a strangely shaped mountain in that it climbed, plateaued a bit then, climbing again 3 times when I woke briefly & turned back over to sleep again! Anyway, I’m am now &, for once, can’t remember what I dreamed as I nearly always do when I wake up: probably just as well as I most likely don’t want to remember & best not to dwell on it! It must have been the much oilier than I realised Duck Comfit I had for dinner last night: WHOAH! came out the microwave swimming in oil to which I lifted off the duck leg onto another plate & used 4 sheets of kitchen towels to soak it up before eating the still very saturated duck leg! It was very good but, I’ll probably never get it again as the oil is horrendously too much! I do very occasionally like Silver Hill crispy aromatic duck with the breast meat, pancakes & hoi sin sauce from tesco but, it was out of stock & thought I’d try the leg instead in Silver Hill Duck Comfit. My dinner meal hill had dropped back down after dinner to the 6’s before bed & it just climbed 3 times for each set of nightmares I woke briefly from! I felt relieved when I woke up properly just now! I definitely won’t be eating that again!

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I think I’ll just have plain toast & tea this morning as even the thought of butter just now is too much: I’ve had a fat overload; lesson learnt!

Sorry reply is a bit off. That's right there is quite a lot of fat that comes off duck, as I found to my horror a few years ago off half a duck. I haven't duplicated it since.

8.1 this morning so I had a low-carb breakfast comprising a small handful of both blackberries and blueberries, with a trace of single cream. I ended up with terrible indigestion too, took over an hour before feeling better after 2 Rennies.

It was a beautiful morning but gradually clouded over and the wind increased and got cooler as I found out on both walks today. Rain is forecasted tonight which will be a blessed relief to the garden and pots.

There's got to be something to explain my aching muscles, just checked my blood results for the multiple test I had on Wed and all except 2 were absolutely normal even my Hba1C at 41mmol/mol. The 2 abnormal ones, mean corpuscular at 6 low of normal and serum calcium at 0.01 high of normal. The Dr said he would see me to discuss the results.
Pleased about the HbA1C anyway as it was over a year since my last one.

Evening here is Mr very late on parade today, it’s been a busy day for me

here goes ..l was 6.9 on waking at my usual time today, another day without taking insulin for me yesterday, so after the weekend that will be a week without a insulin jab ok, so currently I’m only eating twice a day usually a healthy breakfast/brunch then a evening meal,

things might change when I’m soon back working, for the last week I’ve been eating some higher carb meals in the evenings just to see how I react. so far all good looking at my levels 🙂

I saw podiatrist yesterday regarding the slowly healing wound on my big toe, she wasn’t overly concerned but gave me some really good advice to speed up the healing

weighed myself this morning, now I’m down to 80 KG (this time last year was 103) that was when I enrolled on a fitness and healthy eating program plus started on Mounjaro,
going further back a few years ago was 120JG - I’m a far healthier @goodybags than back then

following recent negotiations with my employer (of the last 7 years) and finalising a few things this morning through my solicitor, Im no longer off work sick and now on gardening leave
FYI that doesn’t mean I’m available to come round and cut your grass nor hunt out slugs & other unwanted pests, I shall leave my current employment a week today, @goodybags is already feeling fat less anxious than was a few months ago - I handed in my notice today
so as I’m now on garden leave, Mrs @goodybags & I visited recently re-furnished garden centre at lunch time for a celebratory lunch
followed by a spend on various plants garden accessories compost etc..
even treated myself to a bag of salty caramel fudge, which didn’t spike me (to much) and soon after my BS returned to pre eating levels - looks like GP might’ve been right and I’m actually going to be ok without insulin 🙂 we will see

Hope you’ve also had a fabulous Friday
HAGBHW

Uhhhh! What a day I’ve had! My stomach has been unsettled all day & couldn’t get NR right so, BS has been swinging about! Calling it a day & finally going to bed a bit later due to having to top up my BS that just hit the 4’s as I was checking before going to bed. Only ate twice today of plain toast & tea for breakfast & a chicken stir fry with cauliflower/broccoli rice: not enough NR & high BS for breakfast; too much NR & low BS for lunch & having to take a few sips of coke & 2 nice biscuits just now. Wait a bit for the libre to catch up as it’s still reading BS 4.8 after just munching the biscuits & then, I’ll go to bed! My poor digestive system really doesn’t handle excess fat too well but, at least no number 3’s, so far, & I was really expecting it today; the only bright point! I STILL haven’t gotten the bolus right for cauliflower/broccoli rice & had it 3 times now & still using too much NR: it REALLY makes that BIG a difference from using RICE rice: it’s going to be a regular from now on & have another 3 bags to go in this week’s shopping & ordered more for next week: I WILL get the NR right as keep trying! I’m getting used to the cauliflower now & I don’t notice it as much now! I’m a zombie in need of some restful sleep now! 1 last scan to see if libre has caught up yet….22:15 BS 5.8 that’ll do & off to bed! A Stream of Z’s emoji!

Good to hear you're feeling a lot less anxious @goodybags.

Thank You, TBH several years ago I never would’ve even dreamed I might ever myself suffer from poor MH, it’s great the support we give each other on this fabulous forum, plus for me I’ve recently had great support (when it was needed) from various people who care
