Group 7-day waking average?

Happy Monday forum folks, I woke to a bit of a high one today (a whopping 11.5)

slight over treatment of a before bed low yesterday evening (when my BS was dropping before bed)
not quite HypoLow but 4.2
personally I don’t like to go to bed on anything to low as still taking insulin, but not so much these days.
So yesterday as was low I hit the snack drawer (didn’t realise there was nougat 😉 in there)
then a few slices of bread n-cheese, so not surprising really to see today’s DP

the interesting bit woke at 05:58 with the high reading, then at breakfast time was down to (@07:30) to a much more respectable 7.9 so obviously pancreas is working away well today

something else, regarding my medication
I’ve not intentionally forgotten to take any med’s but as well as the reduced insulin I’m currently doing ( was just 4 units of NovoMix morning & evening) I realised yesterday on quite a few occasions recently I’ve missed my Metformin I’m still on the Max dose of Metformin (or should be) so maybe that could be reduced, Will discuss this with GP when I speak to him next month

I can’t remember if I told you but spoke to GP at the end of last week regarding my Liver function
he re-assured me from the last 2 blood tests show looks well, so we knew my look to be all good so is my Liver, it was about this time last year when they were concerned about both those organs and ended up being diagnosed with NAFLD following blood tests & scans, this all added to my anxiety/ stress,
so good to have re-assurance on that one, I already knew my Kidneys were now effectively “normal” and no longer of concern.

Mrs @goodybags has done a fantastic job in our garden :star: it’s now looking quite <3
I stand by my claim it helped her to have my expert supervision & guidance 😉

Off for a swim / possibly a gym session shortly (currently I’m waiting on some important phone calls) and texts that will need a quick response/ reply

Have Marvellous Monday 😎

Morning all - a better day than yesterday with sunny spells, but still some big black clouds threatening.

7.3 this morning. Apparently I had a low (below 3.9) around 1am which I slept through. However I woke again about 4:30 with the runs. Got back to sleep around 5:30. Feeling much less tired than yesterday though.

Off to visit some more garden centres today as still looking for parsley (though I did plant one pot I bought in the supermarket, but it's seeding and I do use a lot in cooking). Also something for 2 rather large pots where couple of small shrubs died over winter. I'm wondering whether lupin plants could look nice and be perennial? We also lost the Japanese Willow that's been struggling ever since our clueless next door neighbour sprayed it with "Roundup" which drifted through the fence when she was spraying her weeds. She also killed a foot of our lawn and our Peony which was by the fence has not flowered since. Sigh!

As always super photos @eggyg and the thought of a 13.5 mile walk leaves me faint!

I don't think we have any HSs today though there are some jolly good FBGs.

@Lisa65 I struggled with leg pain and went to the physio and Osteo but the person who finally mended me was a Chiropractor. You have my sympathies!

Take care everyone and have a lovely day!

Morning all, 4.9 here. Spent some time yesterday watering all the seedlings and pots. Of course, we then had a decent amount of rain overnight!
So jealous. The rain didn't get as far as Lincolnshire :(

Good afternoon. Just got around to reading emails and messages. It has been a busy morning with highs and lows (not BG). 7.7 reading at quarter to eight. Then 2 hours clearing on the steep bank that is our roadside boundary. Tiring but very productive. Blood tests and second shingles jab late morning. The nurse took the blood from right arm as I got stung in the left elbow crook on Saturday at the apiary and still had some swelling and redness despite 3 antihistamines. Feeling punctured and sore :(
Good news is a 4 day trip to Scotland next April was confirmed today. Arranged through WI and includes several excursions including a visit to a working mill, the Kelpies, Edinburgh, and a boat trip at the Falkirk Wheel.<3:starstruck:. Might even buy something with my clan tartan.

Lovely photos @eggyg although all that walking sounds tiring, the views are definitely worth it.
Hoping you have a good Monday everyone.

7.2 years ago this morning on a cloudy but warm day. No rain as yet, maybe it will, or maybe...

Been busy help J sort out clothes, well, from the side-lines, bric-a-brac and miscellaneous stuff from the back room and waiting as folk come who are attributed to TrashNothing come to take it all away for us. People are great. I can see the floor now and actually the square of carpet I put down 20 years ago, that much has been removed - it could do with a wash/hoover.

It never did rain, just got hotter, up to 2-odd in the shade. Our house faces south-east so we get hot sunshine all afternoon, when the clouds, eventually shifted. Tomorrow is looking to be 24-ish - pretty hot for us. We'll grin and bear it, sitting in the shade.

Forgot to check in, my yesterday & today, & they are both high with BS 8.5 & 9.4 but, had a surprise cycle, they’re always a surprise now as I never know when I’m going to get one, towards the end of my day so, BS was erratically wobbling high & then, dropping once the cycle started. I decided to keep basal the same & be more vigilant about scanning & using less NR as by the time it’s over I’ll need that same dose of Tresiba! That’s why I ended up having a mini 4th meal of cuppa soup without NR after I’d already eaten dinner & about to go to bed so, I had a bit of a high but, steady ish flatline in the 9’s while sleeping after an initial rise from the 5’s to the 11’s.

A very early, silly o’clock, Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m a bit out of whack, as you can probably tell, as I slept again & woke up twice on Saturday after my post just after midday, I was hanging on like a zombie, to 21:10 BS 8.5. Then, had an erratic BS out of whack day until about 06:45 ish on 11/05/2025, EVEN I am getting confused about days now o_O, when I just had a feeling a cycle was starting! I got up from the bed to the loo to check & nothing so, back to bed then, about 10/15 minutes later I felt something & got out of bed again & it had started! I can tell you I was annoyed that I didn’t quite trust my instincts & put in a pad earlier so, STILL ended up having to change my bedding! 😡 Followed by a day of dropping BS my yesterday & woke, my today, 12/05/2025 22:56 BS 9.4! o_O

I’m a Little Miss Confused & Out of Whack! o_O:rofl: I’m imagining a 3D Smiley Ball looking like this o_O with a pair of black pigtails bouncing & stumbling along!

8.1 and climbing. Been in horrendous pain all night. I think yesterday's osteopath appointment made it worse, she did a lot of stretches and trigger point release on my hip and glutes, and it seems to have irritated the nerve again, when it was just starting to settle down. :(
At the moment I'm on the sofa with the dog lying on my bad leg, the pressure feels good 🙂

Morning a 7.7 for me after a steady rise from early hours.Do wonder if warm nights activate the DP earlier as I toss and turn more than usual.
Walked dogs and having cup of tea and bit fresher at least first off.
Busy day yesterday but a nice one and doing a webinar today at lunchtime so mainly WFH.
Feeling bit more lively this morning so hope my energy levels stay high.
Have a great day

Morning a more “normal” 6.0 today

Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone 😎

Morning folks. 🙂 7.3 here (helped by a correction at 3am - I think the Omnipod 5 had nodded off).

Three students in class last night! This class won’t run next academic year, due to most of the students’ erratic attendance. The 3 that are keen will have to schlep over to Pembroke Dock from September and join my Tuesday night group. I hope they can be bothered, then it’ll be an even bigger, even more fun class.

Lesson planning and lesson teaching today.

Morning all. 5.1 for me and a whole night no higher than 6. That makes a change, no idea what i did to achieve it though.

Today i have to ser the GP re BP. Things seem to be ok so hopefully he'll keep me on this dose. Then its off to do a bit of food shopping, pick up prescription and home. Its going to be a warm one today but looking out of the window, the big trees are blowing quite a bit so a nice breeze hopefully. I'll get the washing hung out.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all. 8.3! Couldn’t understand why until I came downstairs at 6am and seen I hadn’t taken my evening basal again! Twice this holiday. 🙄

Had a lovely chilled sort of day yesterday, only walked five miles! We had a quiet morning, after lunch we drove to Tarbert, Harris’ biggest township. Went to the little shop for a couple of provisions. Visited the Harris Distillery, very swish, bought some gin for presents for our daughters. Over to the Harris Tweed shop where we bought the grandchildren their presents, all made of Harris Tweed. Mr Eggy’s wallet was crying by now! Ach, ye canny take it with ye! Then off to the North Harris Eagle Observatory, spoiler alert, we didn’t see any! It was quite the hike from the car to the aforementioned observatory and it was very, very windy. It was blowing against us, we couldn’t barely hear each other speak! It was so noisy my Apple Watch sent me a decibel warning! Stayed for half an hour, we were glad to get out of the wind TBF. Beautiful views but no birdies. They probably turned up just as we left! At least we were blown back to the car!

Today I don’t know what our plans are. We may have lunch on the beach, very light winds today, the wee turbine is stock still this morning. Mr Eggy is currently out. He first went out at 3.40 am to photograph the flower moon, it was very red. He came back just as I got up at 6am. Had breakfast and gone back out as he’s lost his cap somewhere, but as I saw him pass by the kitchen window he had all his camera gear with him. Goodness knows when I’ll next see him!

Good news received yesterday. Youngest daughter is finally moving this Friday, almost five weeks after the date they were supposed to move. I bought a Harris Tweed card and posted it yesterday, hoping it’ll arrive hit Friday at least. The other good news is Zara got into the local school, she’d been accepted at another school as obviously they hadn’t bought this house when the application was put in and they thought they wouldn’t stand a chance. So we’re very pleased, it’s a lovely village school with a good reputation and only about a kilometre away.

Gosh, I’ve gone on a bit today. If you haven’t nodded off, have a fab day.

Not many photos, but one to make you laugh. This is us arriving at the hide, after being blown up the path, my hair! OMG! I need my roots done. 😛 Last night’s sunset and the view in the opposite direction. These were both taken at 10.15pm.

5.8 and another sunless Berkshire morning. Usual Tuesday swim before lunch, and this afternoon we have someone coming round to measure up and quote for a new stairs & landing carpet. The current one doesn't go with the new decor. Other than that it's a bit of grocery shopping and maybe some garden maintenance if it doesn't rain.

Whatever your plans, enjoy the day.

A 6.1 for me this morning. 🙂

6.2 this morning for me.

We have a day off visiting my parents and worrying about them with a trip to the Peak District for a photography course which I bought for a Christmas present for my wife. Weather looks great so should be a good day. We don’t start until 3pm as it will be up to sunset, so a late trip back home afterwards. Looking forward to clearing my head a bit today.

Sorry, not managed to keep up to date on this thread with all that’s going on, but I hope everyone is well and hugs for those suffering.

Take care everyone.
