Group 7-day waking average?

5.5 for me on a cool, grey and rather wet Berkshire morning, although it's not raining at the moment. 3 days ago I was out and about without needing a sweatshirt or jacket. Hopefully it will be a bit warmer and brighter later so I can get outside and finish painting our summer house. Just the doors left to do.

Unusually for a Tuesday we have the whole family at home. My wife is WFH all week because the heating's off at work while they fix a broken down boiler, our eldest has decided he doesn't need to go into the office today, and our youngest doesn't have a shift on Tuesdays.

Swim before lunch, as per normal on a Tuesday, and as the ironing basket is screaming for attention I'll have a crack at that later. There must be a load of my stuff in there as there's several empty hangers in my side of the wardrobe. In the meantime it's relax with a coffee and the newspaper.

Have a good day, your weather permitting.

9.3 at 745. when nurse came for insulin 12.9 those walnuts may have something to do with it (hangs head in shame)

Morning

Bit delayed getting g online this morning due to internet being down. Anyway 5.1, all good at nurse appointment, feel checked ok, HbA1c was confirmed as being 37, so dropping one of my meds, weight stayed the same so was disappointed with that, by decided not to up my Mounjaro at this stage.

Off to see mum later for some crotchet and nattering, unless she has any issues for me to sort out of course.

@Eternal422 - sorry to hear your dad has gone back on going into a care home, I know it must be difficult for him, but things are difficult for you as well.

@Pam123 - congratulations on your HS yesterday.

5.4 today for me.

We’ve got a free day today, so planning to get some odd jobs done and spend some time revisiting for my radio exam in May. I’m three quarters of the way through the course and at the stage of fearing forgetting the early stuff, but I’m sure I’ll be ok.

Collected my regular prescription today and the pharmacy gave me disposable Kwikpen Abasaglar pens instead of cartridges. They explained that there is a shortage of the cartridges and they didn’t want to not give me any insulin or delay getting me some especially with Easter upon us.

@Pam123 - love the garden and pond pictures! Wow! So beautiful! How did you extend the pond - putting a new, larger liner into the existing pond on top of the original? Interested as I had been thinking about extending our pond.

Take care everyone!

Good morning folks. 5'4.

My only day off this week and weather is not great. Luckily my plan is indoors: spending a few hours in the usual cafe. The friend that usually comes on Tuesdays won't be there today because of a hospital appointment, but at least one of the newest members of the group said he would come. So let's see who else shows up.

We don't meet until 2pm so I am doing some laundry first. I am a bit resistant to do chores today since I want to relax, but it will save me some stress later in the week.

yes we made it deeper with a new liner and raised the wall it was a lot of work but worth the effort

Late on parade this AM. 7.2 hand in hand with an upset stomach. So upset that I’ve taken Imodium.

Therapy this morning was cancelled.

I did email the GP yesterday about my increasingly frequent funny turns. Appointment this afternoon. I’ve asked for referrals to neurology and endocrinology as well as full meds review.

4.7 for me this morning after chasing a red line most of the evening prior to going to bed, no idea why alarm started at approx 8pm. and despite a glass of orange juice 2 lots of JBs and 2 dextrose tablets over the course of the evening by 12.30 it was still only 4.9, I even has a toasted hot cross bun, so I had 2 more JBs before going to sleep the highest it went over night was 5.

And keep chasing it up about it too: it took 2/3 years of increasingly shorter intervals between bouts of stomach/diarrhoea & getting various blood tests when seeing my GP before my fatty liver was diagnosed; GP’s have to guess what to test for too based on your symptoms & mine finally twigged when I said my number 3’s, my term for diarrhoea, was very oily! :care:

And keep chasing it up about it too
oh I will. Luckily my GP is happy to refer to specialists so let’s see what they say.

It was a steady rise on my graph to 10.1 when I woke, which is disappointing. I clearly got evening Levemir wrong. Jabbed 11 units of Fiasp and had to wait an extra long time for breakfast but that seems to have brought me down to a nice 6.5 since then.
I didn't make it to the shops yesterday, so must go today! We had a tiny smattering of dampness last night but not enough to create a puddle or anything, just refresh things a bit. Think we are forecast for a downpour tomorrow though. Wish shopping could wait until then but but it can't.

@Grannylorraine great result, well done!

@Pam123 the garden photos are lovely. Would you like to come and do mine:rofl: ? I do try but i'm not very good. Hopefully now i've finished work i'll have more time.

@ColinUK hope you feel better soon.

a goodybags afternoon update
seen podiatrist this morning, I was slightly surprised she could see my HbA1c bloods (but then again this is a NHS podiatrist and based in the same healthcare cante as my surgery) bloods were taken yesterday, technology sometimes can be a good thing, anyway we were talking about my previous foot problems (Diabetic related) latest Hba1c is 46

the lowest I’ve ever seen
due to be speaking to a GP on a call tomorrow, certainly going to be a very different conversation than we had a year ago (when my Hba1c had gone up to 76) at the time I was told I also had NAFLD something that hopefully might be returning to normal we will see, part of the reason I requested a review

not quite as good as your 37 @Grannylorraine a fantastic achievement by you
great to hear your looking at dropping one of your Meds

@Pam123 congrats on the HS yesterday absolutely loved the pictures of your fantastic garden

@ColinUK hope your feeling better & the referrals you’ve requested come through quickly
