Group 7-day waking average?

This week in creative club a person who has joined recently and didn't know I have diabetes asked if my Libre reader was a burner phone. Today I met her in a shop and I got a low alarm so I took the reader out, we joked again about it being a "dealer" phone. She's not the first person to mention this. Now that I think about it, when it buzzed I did pull a little plastic bag out of my pocket 😛 (the bag containing hypo sweets, don't be alarmed:rofl:).

Very early UK morning to the UK. It’s mid morning here. 7.6 for me today.

Raffles for a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar and then afternoon tea in The Grand Lobby. Really don’t think I wish to return to normal life at some point next week !

Have a good day all once your day starts.

Thanks Nick for clarification.
Metaformin is normally used in Type 2 situations but now you have confirmed your insulin regime that part makes sense.
ATB.
I take Metformin too, I was started on it after my distal pancreatectomy. The hope was it would help the remaining part of my pancreas and stave off the inevitable for a while. I was diagnosed as diabetic ( Type 2) three years later and they have kept me on Metformin ever since, occasionally I ask if I need it and the general consensus is “ if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!” In other words, they haven’t a clue really! So here I am more than 17 years later still taking it. Think I’ll ask again at my review next month and play Devil’s Advocate and ask them why. 😉

Someone’s been watching too many BBC dramas, ie This is our City, which incidentally is brilliant.

Early good morning here too. 5.3 on the meter as my sensor fell off last night getting ready for bed. It had been hanging on for about a week, my fault, I put it on too high and my rucksack strap kept nudging it, it’s been covered with an Elastoplast for most of its 12 days.

Got my new phone yesterday, iPhone 14, it nearly got sent back as the transfer of data etc stalled at one point and wouldn’t let me go any further, I brought in the tech expert ( Mr Eggy) and he knocked it off and started again! 😛 It seems huge compared to my last one but I wore my walking trousers with the phone pocket in to go to Tesco and tried it in there first and it fits, that’s without a case though, which I’ll need, it’s very slippy and I need some where to put the plethora of cards I have, stamps, old receipts, carpark tickets, Elastoplasts, kitchen sink! Might have to get some pants with bigger pockets!

Looks like we may have had a drip of rain last night, light showers forecast today. That’s fine, I’m not leaving the house today, it’s our last day of not having to do anything at all if we don’t want to until the 41st Octember! 😱

Have a Happy Monday all.

Morning folks. 🙂 8.7 here...oh, come on Omnipod 5, that’s pants.

Off to Cardiff today for a wander round the beautiful arcades, etc. I haven’t been for a loooong time. I’m on my own today cos my BFF is out of action getting some major dentistry done, so no-one to natter with incessantly. Looking forward to a Grand Day Out. Then I’ll stay at my mum’s tonite, where I will get to have a good old natter.

Thanks @goodybags for the smartwatch info.

Morning all. 6.8. I don't know what to do today. Washing is up to date, cleaning done, no friends to see today, pots all planted. I could get some more ivy up and tree cut down but as it won't be ready to plant this year theres no rush. Its sunny atm but forecast to be cloudy and cool.

06:37 BS 6.4 :D That’s more like it: in range; ear infection is almost done & one last day of spraying!

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m excited! My new dishwasher arrives today! I an email last night saying I’ll get an email on day of delivery with a password I need to give the delivery guy before he’ll hand it to me? Never had that happen before; maybe it’s the £209 price tag for an electrical appliance that warrants the extra security?

I got an extra lot of shopping in today, that’s two in one week, as I realised yesterday that I need all that palaver of stuff for the dishwasher:- dishwasher tablets for the dishes, salt & dishwasher cleaner for the dishwasher. That lot came to about £20 & added some more stuff for the £50 or they’ll add a “Basket Charge” for delivery, which is added on separately! 🙄

6.0 today.

Final training day today. And then it's back to normal work life.

The training happens at the little rural hospital in the Trust so I have a lovely country drive to get there.

Off to Cardiff today for a wander round the beautiful arcades
We're going to Cardiff in June for a weekend. I've heard about the arcades, what are they like? I think we're staying between the docks and the centre, not sure as hubby booked it.

Good morning all
Went to bed on 6.3 and woke up to 4.5 Just about to have breakfast so ok not to have a couple of JBs not that I need much of an excuse to have them lol

Morning all, 7.4 here, and a straightish line, no idea why, when the same amount of basal, plus exercise and a glass of wine in the evening normally has me crawling along the top of the red all night. Maybe it’s the weather, it rained yesterday! Not a lot, but anything’s a bonus at the moment.

A modest 5.9 for me. Bright but chilly today.

Not enough planting happened on Saturday, so I’ll have to crack on over the pseudo-weekend tomorrow.

Congrats on the HS @MeeTooTeeTo Dez

Bright and sunny here at the moment but forecast to cloud over this afternoon, although staying dry. Good - it means I can get back to painting our summer house, as yesterday's rain scuppered that. Mad scramble to get towels off the line when it started and we ended up tumble-drying the lot.

Highlight of the day is a trip to the recycling centre and then The Range to get some fresh paint to do the summer house doors. We had a little left over from last time but it's not usable. At least I have things that'll keep me out of the house with 3 WFH, as usual on a Monday.

At least it's nice to start my least favourite day with one of these:-

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.
Congrats on the HS

good morning 6.9 today
I’m happy with that as yesterday evening had a Lamb Curry (homemade) and it included Potatoes & Carrots served with a Naan bread and only took a small dose of insulin again yesterday

I just got back from seeing the Vampire, looks like it was only Hba1c bloods that was requested which surprised me as when I made the request a few weeks ago, I reminded them I would need a full test including Kidney & Liver Function, will see what the GP says on Wednesday when he rings me

Congratulations on your Monday morning House Specials to @MeeTooTeeTo & @Martin.A

I’ve a few things that need chasing up today including speak to Vodafone & CityFibre
and hope get time to to take a swim today

TC & Happy Monday 😎

I’ve only got small hands too and thin wrists. I must say I’m a tad worried!
My hands are big enough that I’d have made a great pianist apparently. But my wrists are tiny. I have the smallest size of Apple Watch and it’s fine but the larger ones look ridiculous on my delicate frame.
