Group 7-day waking average?

Congratulations @Pam123 on your HS!

7.8 this morning after last night's 2 JB for a most unusual reason as my BG was at 5.2.

A gorgeous day again and the breeze seems to abate. I couldn't even get out last night as I had an episode again. I took a Haloperidol and began to calm down, enough to knock me out. So didn't leave my chair until I woke at 10.30 pm. I even missed the snooker which I wanted to watch.
Going to watch some snooker today though.

Congratulations to @Pam123 on today's HS.

@Lanny and @BobbleHat I’ve been a David Essex fan since I was about 13! ( I’m a bit older than you two, 65 two weeks today! Eeek!) I’ve seen him in concert many, many times with my friend Mandy. We said last time we saw him it would be the last time, he was still a showman, very chatty and witty and still has his twinkly blue eyes but his voice isn’t the same. We all grow old I suppose. He must be well in his 70s now.

I’m late on parade today, was 6.6 on waking

Congrats on the HS @Pam123, plus yesterday’s which was a plethora of HS ‘ers yesterday
@MikeyBikey @Silent Sands @freesia @Pam123

loved your logic regarding the broken biscuits @BobbleHat

I was looking forward to todays Fitness/MH program (football training) Im attending on a Saturday morning, but received a message whilst driving back home from Crewe yesterday, unfortunately the program will not on today (or next week) however next Saturday we are invited to another match, this time Northampton Town vs Reading

On telling Mrs @goodybags I'm available today, she wanted to go shopping for a crab apple tree, we had tried 3 garden centres before the 4th had it, it was a particular variety she was after.
I’m definitely not green fingered myself, however I do like to relax in the garden on a warm or sunny day.

Hope everybody has a superb Saturday
Sun is shining here today
TC everyone

We got out onto a busy Promenade this sunny afternoon, but we got out of the chilly nor. easterly for a while to Embargo's. Wifey got a tad squiffy on 2 halves of 5%, I was good, sticking to diet coke. Feeling a little peckish after a couple of hours, we trotted over to the Chinese for a meal. Got home a while back, both of us sated. Don't think my OH will necessarily have craft ale again for a while.

02:08 BS 7.3 🙂 About 3.5 hours of movement on the body clock & I’m happy with that. Lasted until about 15:30 ish before conking out & hoped for about a 01:30 or 02:00 wake up which, I achieved! TAH DAH, I just love it when things go according to plan! Nudge, nudge (>> my right elbow as I’m right handed) >>😉😉

An early Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I have indeed put on two kilos this fortnight when I changed my diet a bit to try & make up the shortfall of reducing cholesterol while off the statins due to my wrist: it’s all the full fat Greek yoghurts, Benecol light spread which I’ve been too generous with & Benecol drinks which I drunk two of a day instead of one as I woke twice a day! o_O

Now that needs a bit of a re-think? I’ll finish off the Greek yoghurt & Benecol drinks & see where the weight is at & maybe go back on the statins now my wrist isn’t bugging me so much?

It’s just a bit ironic that in trying to replace my statins for reducing cholesterol I end up putting on weight: the universe can be perverse at times; it’s having a right laugh at me! 🙄

Good morning. No idea on bg as no testing yet this morning. Was 7.3 at 2200 hours. However my patience is being tested and I am at screaming pitch. I am in a 4 bed ward,so far a pretty happy place. A wondrrful 95 year old with terrible post op oedema who never makes a squeak except when she has to be heaved about and then as little as possible. Co-operates with staff, even the dreaded physios, and laughs and waves cherrily to us all. A quiet woman with severe scoliosis and mild dementia, who has to be fielded from the coridors while making long unsupervised walks, and up to yesterday evening, a splendid 86 year old retired teacher who has been in hospital for 5 months fighting an intactible infection after a private knee replacement in Spain. We were all pleased for her to be shunted off to rehab although very sorry to lose her company. Little did we know we were to get an intolersblle rerplacement who screams, moans, demands, shouts and wont use her bell to call staff but does immediately demand their sttention if they treat anyone else. Vulgar? Oh yes. So no sleep until eventualy they heavily (I suspect) sedated her at 3 am. No worries - she started again at 5. It is incessant. Driving me bonkers. Think I will have to get on line and see if there is a bed in a local care home as I cant weight bear so need help to toilet. 3 weeks to next MRI before they will even contemplate it. Tempted to clock her with my walking stick...hey ho. Moan over

6.4 for me this morning. Got woken before 5am by a false low alert due to a noisy G7 sensor. Sensor showed 4.9 but a finger prick showed 7.3. Decided not to calibrate but chose instead to wait for the next sensor reading. Sure enough, the app showed 'Brief sensor issue' so I went back to sleep, hoping the sensor would correct itself. Sadly, it is still showing signs of imminent failure so I think I will apply the new sensor today (1 day early) in case it deteriorates further.

Shame too, as I had a pretty flat night apart from that.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning a 6.5 for me but a perfect line overnight as went to bed at 6.3 and a very nice sleep.
Nippy this morning taking dogs out but they went a bit further than normal but back in having cup of tea ( usually my only one of the day).
Busy morning going to butchers, farm, garden centre but no cake so will definitely have lunch out today.
Rest of afternoon moved a few pots back and sorting out a big Yucca plant which had split due to frost and weight a few weeks ago.
I have noticed my BG drops really quickly if I do any “ intensive” work in garden like digging so alarm goes off then I have to eat and start again.
Whilst this is a nice excuse to eat stuff it does interrupt my flow of work so whilst my wife likes slow and steady I prefer shorter but harder but wish my BG would stay higher for longer as don’t like eating too much beforehand or having no insulin as it means I have to do the hard work at a certain time and I like to be more spontaneous.
My wife has a saying “ Muck for Luck” well on Grand National Day I had the perfect opportunity to put her saying into practice.
Whilst on my walk I felt a big “ plop” on my head ( lucky I was wearing my woollen hat” as a Pigeon decided to do its business above me.
I was yards from my house and showed my wife the hat.She doubled up laughing and the hat was sent to the wash. She said have a bet but I decided not too as could not decide if my luck was in wearing the hat or out being “ pooed” on in the first place.
Anyway have a great day and I have to think “ Do I feel Lucky today”.

Morning all, 5.3 here. Did a long walk on a local levada yesterday, through banana plantations, came back to hotel with the intention of rewarding ourselves with an afternoon on the balcony…sun promptly went in, and the downside of having a sea view, is that you also get the cool sea breeze.

Morning all went to bed n a 11.9 today at 730 4.6 i seem to be getting lower in morning despite going to bed on very carby highs of 10+ Methinks insulin may be needed to reduced again or maybe that mdam the diabetic fairty is being axward

Morning all. 🙂 8.3 here. Why does the Omnipod 5 suspend insulin when my BG’s flat-fishing at around 8? Answers on a postcard, plz.

I feel for you @TinaD - when I was in hospital in Spain, I shared a room with an elderly lady who was asleep all day and awake all night chatting loudly to her (not in the room, in her head) friends - “Wait for me, Feli, I’m on my way. Just getting my coat on.” Sleep was impossible! Glad to hear your knee isn’t as painful.

Morning all

5.8 today and not feeling great, but obviously coming down with a lurgy as my throat is slightly sore, headache, full body aches, swollen achy glands in my neck. I suppose I have done well after having the terrible cold at Christmas, I haven’t had anything since.

Morning, 6.3 and ever so slightly hungover. Head pounding and feel ever so wibbly wobbly. I’m certain two paracetamol and a full English will cure me! I did manage to strip the bed and it’s all in the machine, grand drying day.

Hoping once the evil drink has been expelled from my body we will have a Sunday stroll.

Have a good ‘un everyone.

5.8 on yet another lovely, sunny Berkshire morning although our garden thermometer says it's only 7 degrees at the moment. Managed to paint our newly-built picket fence yesterday, and fixed it in place, but will give it another coat today. Successful visit to M&S in Camberley too, as my wife and I both found something to buy, then stocked up on Easter eggs at the Tesco next door.

Our youngest should be at work but has been unwell since Friday evening and never left his bed yesterday. He has a chesty cough and was still running a temperature (39) when I took it yesterday evening. Our eldest is at his girlfriend's in London but will be back later, along with her I expect.

Well done @RichardsUsername on your HS this morning and @Pam123 on yours yesterday

No special plans for today but we're a day adrift with the laundry, so will have a look shortly to see what we have and then take a walk down to Morrisons to pick up a newspaper, some things for lunch and anything we need for dinner tonight,

Enjoy your Sunday - there seems to be no end in sight to the blue skies and sunshine but what's the betting it will end with thunderstorms and torrential rain, as usual?
