Group 7-day waking average?

‘'twas a Len today

Congrats on your HS today @eggyg, also @MikeyBikey on yours yesterday,

I seem to have missed many of peoples forum happening recently, as most of the time I seem so busy, even doing the simplest of tasks & possibly slight forgetful (generally poorly organised) I'm thinking this is down to me being still quite anxious about many things, other than health wise,
I’m thinking the previous work related pressures & stress, if that makes sense to you (it does to me)

I had a coffee with a friend /work colleague last week, we had a good chat about all sorts of things including anxiety, which he admitted to me he still suffers from but you would never know as well managed in his case, he suggested this might be something I should speak to my GP regarding, actually I’m due to be speaking to my GP tomorrow so will 😉

regarding my stress / anxiety levels 🙄 - technology 😱 and how I have to interact with it (not sure about everyone else) but that certainly stresses me, there’s someone else I can reach out to on that one, he has previously offered his help, so I shall ask

@silver minion that sounds a decent harvest of honey, as a hayfever sufferer myself I do tend to look out for local fresh honey, I got a jar recently (off one of my customers) who I didn’t realise was a bee keeper, but for him it’s a family tradition, he was telling me has several hives and he refereed to it steals the honey from his bees.

@PattiEvans hope your soon back at home, I hadn’t realised you were back in hospital until you posted yesterday :care:
it’s really good to hear you finally  got your redundancy @Lisa65.

Today I need to be doing some much needed tiding up & re-organising mostly in my bedroom & the lounge, TBH since I went back to work (a few months ago) this has been overlooked and my wife is rightly on my case over the accumulation of mess, especially as the dining room table has turned into a dumpling ground / office to the point where we can’t use it for its intended purpose (dining)

First load of washing on the line, next load is currently in the machine so I predict rain later 🙂

TC everybody

Morning all. It’s a 5.1 for me on this grey cloudy morning.

Have a great day everyone and stay well.

Morning all - very grey and a bit misty.

First of all Congratulations to @eggyg on your HS.

I was 5.1 which was so near yet so far. I am home from hospital - got home yesterday after having a toastie for lunch in Costa opposite the hospital as I was starving and it was hospital lunchtime when I was chucked out - 12 noon. I had a lazy day yesterday and a delicious sleep last night, from 10pm to 08:30 this morning.

I had a rather nasty surprise when I got home - a letter telling me I have stage 1 diabetic retinopathy. I am hardly surprised given the events leading up to the test as I hardly had the best control with everything that was happening. It has happened once before and I reversed it, so hopefully I can do so again by pulling my control in.

I know I had a good old moan about that nurse who didn't allow us to get our proper rest. I do think she needs a smack - and I do have every intention of filling in their review and mentioning it. Specially because the hospital seems to be running on various indiscriminate bank nursing staff. To be fair most of them were lovely and put patient needs first, rather than their administration tasks unlike her. However, the Doctors and other functionaries were wonderful and deserve a mention. Most of the Doctors were refreshingly young and empathetic (not to mention beautiful! Both male and female), willing to explain your medical condition in detail and ensure you understood it and your treatment properly before you left. Even the Pharmacist and all the physiotherapists were young and beautiful! More like models. I was really impressed at the new generation who are staffing our hospitals. The various functionaries were working together to give an integrated service from physio to diet. At least in that hospital they seem to have swept the old fuddy duddies away.

TC eveverybody
I only have 2 hives in the garden. I keep bees for pollination as we have a lot of fruit trees and bushes. The honey is a bonus. I share it with bees as I only take the excess, leaving them a full box (super in Beekeeping parlance) of honey filled frames on each hive for winter food. The rest is shared among friends and family. I don't sell it. A single jar for us normally.

Welcome home. Sorry to hear about the retinopathy letter. As you say proper rest and recuperation from your recent illness will let you get your BG back in range.
Nice to hear that overall you were well looked after and the HCPs were good and happy to explain things. Hope you get better soon xx

10:39 BS 8.1 after loo & overnight was flat ish around mid 7’s & last minute bump from getting vertical! 🙂

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I just put on the new libre 2 plus sensor just before midnight on 01/02 August & to give me a warm welcome I got a massive bleeder down my arm: hadn’t had one of those in ages; took a bit of cleaning up & was worried it would stop working! But, it’s still working although, my right arm still smarts a bit & it felt hot & tender in the early hours of the 2nd being 1am by the time of the first scan! 😱 Haven’t noticed anything untoward though but, I’ve never used the continuous scanning mode as it never worked & the drain on the battery power is already a lot without it!

8.8 this a.m. a bit better heading down day on day. It has been raining but drier now with sunshine & some Simpson cloud.

TiR Increasing after a night flatlining in the 8s at 71%, Average BG 9.2 for 7 days.

I got out for a couple of walks yesterday, I'll be heading out soon on another after some chores.

Congratulations on your HS @eggyg , making a regular occasion.

4 this morning wanted to get in the garden but its raining managed to weed a small section of the garden before falling over a rockery stone had had been dislodged, I couldn't get up luckily my daughter was outside and got me up, ive got a sore shoulder and my knee is bruised were going out for dinner before we start on the kitchen for a break.

Congratulations on your HS @eggyg

Morning all. Another 5.2! Like buses…

Raining at the moment, not much yet but heavy rain forecast. Hopefully won’t need to water the garden tonight.

Got visitors later, I didn’t get my courgette cake made yesterday as Mr Eggy got the belt fixed on daughter’s pick up faster than expected so we went for a walk. I’m going to make fruit scones instead, I’ve got cream and lots of homemade raspberry jam.
Other than that nowt else going on in Eggyland today.

Have a lovely day.
Congratulations @eggyg on your HS

Flourishing!

Afternoon all. 5.3 this morning. We're just enjoying a last cuppa and walk along the sea front before heading home. Its very cloudy and windy but mainly the weather has been warm and dry while we've been away which has been nice.

Congrats on the HS @eggyg and @PattiEvans i'm so glad you're home now. Sorry you had to come home to that letter though. Rest now and get yourself well again.

5.8 this morning, which is dull and grey with occasional bits of sunshine. Got 4 machine loads of laundry on the line so hoping it'll dry before the 'scattered showers' in our forecast from around 5 o'clock. More than scattered showers heading some folks' way tomorrow I see, with our friends up north getting a battering. It seems we're out of the firing line down here.

Free day so my wife and I plan to sort out the clutter in the garage, which is more of a storage area than a garage to be honest, although I'm sure we're not alone in that respect.

Congratulations on your HS @eggyg

Enjoy your Sunday.

Good day All, 6.4 this morning.

I am feeling very tired these days, since the heat really, although I did weed and did a bed over in the garden yesterday. Today just mustering the energy to do another garden bed.

Good wishes to everyone today, this evening and the week ahead. <3

Afternoon all.11 .8 for me this morning.High glucose alarm going off all night. My own doing as I had BBQ spare ribs with a tuna and runner bean salad at tea time.. Knocked everything out of kilter .Soon get it back to 100 % in range . Sunny up here but breezy.See what tomorrow brings with this gale forecast. Congratulations to @eggyg on your Hs today.Have a good Sunday folks

11.5

Could blame a small piece of pork pie but I've been this high most days for the last couple of weeks. Diet doesn't seem to make a difference, whether I eat 50 or 150 carbs it's always double figures until late evening.

Trying to rest and destress but family not helping.
