Group 7-day waking average?

06:09 BS 12.0 Oops! 😳 completely forgot to bolus for that last minute change of mind Heinz chicken soup, after all, before bed last night: checked the pen & it was over 13 hours, coming up to 14, since the lunch bolus yesterday; getting a bottle of water from the fridge for my bedside chest of drawers & hadn’t intended on eating anything but, changed my mind & ate the soup! Had intended to bolus once I got back into the bedroom but, I must have forgotten. A nice flatline, though, overnight; just TOO high a flatline! 🙄

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Morning all. 6.3.

I really, really wanted a lie in but my body clock plus achy back and hip and Mr Eggy’s snoring all conspired against me. After trying for an hour I got up at 6.30 hoping for maybe an hour’s peace before everyone else got up. But, no, 7 year old Sadie wandered down about 6.45! Her mother has to nag her to get up for school! She’s currently playing a game on my iPad whilst I negotiate the forum on my phone!

Good but busy day yesterday, the forecasted rain/storms did not make an appearance and the weather was great. Lots of outdoor play. Had a lovely lunch of Gaga’s special pizzas, the girls like to put their own toppings on. I made a raspberry cheesecake from our plentiful supply of raspberries. It was delicious, even if it did send my BGs into the stratosphere.

Quiet day today, it’s wet this morning and probably will be all day. Films and games and maybe they can help me with some cooking.

Congratulations to our plethora of HSers yesterday. It was a good day.

Have a good ‘un.

Good morning! An irritating 12.1! Why irritating because the consultant to the unit came around yesterday. We discussed quite a few things after the initial examination including Amitriptyline reduction, the slow healing of the wound finishing with insulin doses. Come late afternoon and tes it was time for insulin. When I said I wanted 1 itsy bitsy unit more of Isophane I was asked why? "Because I keep waking in double figures". I was then told I was not allowed it!!! I then asked to see the medication chart and it was as clear as mud! I could not win the debate with this young, bossy and arrogant sister - hence still on double figures. Fortunately she left at 8:00 but not before tipping a bottle of urine over my bed! Her replacement is totally different.

Might get physio today but might not.

Looks like it could be a pleasant day.

6.0

Had a major one of my turns yesterday that left me slightly out of it for the rest of the day. Which is unusual for me as they’re normally done and dusted in an hour tops. After effects of this one lasted well over 12 hours. Still, look on the bright side eh!

Therapy was good yesterday and still went to the gym as I wanted to do something positive. After that, wandered over to Southbank, met a friend as we’d both booked tickets to see Inter Alia at the National. What a great performance by Rosamund Pike. One hour forty five minutes straight through and it pretty much a monologue. Her emotional journey is clear, specific, relatable and she gives a masterclass in how to play a role and navigate more props and wardrobe changes than you rarely see these days

It’s touring at some point plus it’s also being screened in the cinema. It will not suffer from being shown on screen. And it’s likely to romp home for the top two Olivier Awards next year.

Today is much less exciting. Putting stuff into storage. Meeting a friend at John Lewis as he said he’d value my opinion on white goods selection. There will inevitably be tea and probably cake.

Theatre this evening is That B*stard Puccini! which I’m looking forward to as it promises to be a bit of a lightweight giggle.

Morning all, 7.6 here, Dawn has returned with a vengeance.
Finally got a decent shower of rain yesterday afternoon, daughter who lives 6 miles up the road had had three deluges by that time. We often miss out, we must be in some sort of rain shadow. Son who lives in Kenilworth said he heard a huge clap of thunder, followed by a load of fire engines rushing to a building just round the corner, to put out the fire caused by the lightning strike.

Morning all. A higher 8.8 with this nee sensor, confirmed with a finger prick. After a unicorn day yesterday the graph showed a very jagged line overnight, probably caused by several trips to the toilet, then the alarm going off to say i was going high. No! I'd just got out of bed for the loo! I might need a nap later, feeling tired this morning.

Nothing to be done and nowhere to go today so i might do a bit of crafting, i'll see.

@MikeyBikey i hope you're out of there soon and back on the mend at home. At least you can sort your own insulin then.

Its been raining here and is dull atm, forecast is thundery showers and sun for most of the day. Have a good day wherever you are.

Morning folks. 🙂 6.4 here.

Got to nip over to County Hall today to show proof of i.d. for my DBS certificate renewal. ‘Nip’ probably isn’t the right word since there’ll be tons of traffic now that the school holidays have started. Roll on the weekend when we’re off to sunny Spain...we’ll have to leave early to avoid the traffic jams!

Good morning 6.6 (on waking at 6am) is that to many 6’s maybe 🙄

Looks like it’s going to be a cooler but wet day, and definitely not shorts weather, when I was walking home from from the hospital yesterday afternoon in the downpour, I chatted in passing to a lady walking from the opposite direction, not somebody I knew, but we both commented how refreshing the warm rain was.

Having been given the nod might pop into opticians later (to price up new glasses)

Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone
TC 🙂

Morning all a lovely sunny day in watton, bit of a nippy start but it's definitely going to be a good day. MH lot better today, i must learn with my mh dx that I will have crappy days. Feeling good and on top of the world today. Had a good night's sleep about 7 hours.
6.2 for me (walnut induced) and my fault entirely.
Hope ur all well and enjoying life. Take care everyone and be happy in whatever you do. Thinking of you all as always special thoughts to anyone on their own and or struggling
❤️ gail

Well done @Sharron1 on your HS. Mine was 5.6 same as yesterday. I think I forgot to post that one as I was running around trying to round up the moggy for her early morning annual M.O.T. at the vet's. She's as fit as a fiddle considering she's 11 years old. 🙂
We had constant rain yesterday, the next few days are supposed to be dry. Let's wait and see.

Morning, 7.4 for me
Was raining here most of the day yesterday, brighter this morning.
Mrs Homer away out with daughter soon, this is the day I’m in doing housework, not my favourite but someone must do it, still will probably go for a coffee and cake this afternoon.
Have a lovely day everyone

Morning

5.3 today, not feeling great as had an awful tummy upset on Sunday night, now just feeling weak, probably due to only drinking water and eating a few cream crackers yesterday, but hey other people are suffering much worse things. Taking mum to the docs today, hubby can drop me off round mum’s depending on how I feel and how the weather is I might get a taxi home.

@ColinUK - sorry to hear you had another turn yesterday.

@MikeyBikey - that is awful that they are not listening to you regarding your insulin.

@Sharron1 - congratulations on your HS today. Congratulations to all of yesterday’s HS.

Looks like it could be a pleasant day.

Things are no better. This morning I asked for 2 exzra units as I was in double figures. This was refused. There is sweet FA I can bo about it as the sister draws the insulin up. I then said you can mix the insulins. Again this was refused although the nurse observing said "I know that". Afterwards the nurse who seems to have more sense than the sister said she would raise the issue with the GP. To add insult to injury they have sourced insulin syringes with 12.7 mm needles rather than my usual 8 mm ones! :(

Jesus!

Some of these medicos honestly!

The trick I use for those is to say I no longer have trust in your competence to treat me and threaten to withdraw permission to treat me until they provide someone competent.

Its surprisingly effective

Wish I could try that here as I am tiring over "insulin wars"!

BTW - congratulations on what you have achieved so far!

5.4 after a lovely flatfish in the low 5s all night, pleased with that!

Not much planned today other than waiting in for deliveries (used to be no issue when I worked from home, now we are out more than being in!)

@ColinUK - sorry to hear you had a bad turn yesterday, hoping today is better for you.

Congrats @Sharron1 and @NickE on your HS today!

Have a good day everyone!
