Group 7-day waking average?

5.7 for me
Good morning all A rainy hot humid day here. Other days low bg may be due to a UTI o the joys. Or so the nurse tells me, didt know UTI could affect you like that.
It's raining here but it's hot rain if u know what i mean.
You all have a good safe day. Take care of yourselves as always extra special wishes to those on their own or struggling
Love ❤️

A 6.3 for me this morning after a very disturbed night's sleep. Firstly from boy racers up and down the nearby main road into the wee small hours. Then later having to leap out of bed and dance around with muscle cramp - first the right leg then later the other one.

Then to crown it all, when I tried to logon to my PC the mouse wouldn't work. After I sussed out the batteries were dead, it wouldn't connect to the internet. All sorted now, but I have a couple of deliveries today, could anything possibly go wrong? 😱

Have a safe and wet or dry day depending on what you want. 🙂

Morning a 6.2 for me and a night in range after a 2u correction to deal with Pizza which was lovely.
Have reduced by basal to 5u overnight and so far all is good and had good sleep.
Another nice day yesterday and got home early as little Friday night traffic on motorway and next week should be very good as well.
Not too much planned this w/ end garden, shopping and lunch out tomorrow as weather a bit uncertain but all have a good w/ end

Morning all - if you look out the front it's grey, out the back it's blue. Met Office says rain this afternoon. Met Office is frequently wrong. Anyone's guess.

5.7 with a nice flat line this morning.

Finally cooked the chicken last night, it was a sad little thing, but there's enough left for tonight. The roast potatoes were awful. Julian said there were no Maris Piper or King Eddie spuds in the supermarket so he had to get whites. They do not roast well. We will get some decent spuds in town this afternoon when we go in to meet friends in a newly opened pizza and brew place. I suspect it will be a barn of a place, but it should have sea views. We shall not be partaking of the pizzas.

Congratulations to @Lisa65 on today's HS and @Colin g on yesterdays.

Have a happy day all....

Good moaning! Boy, am I eff'ing fuming. I misjudged the (undeclared) carbs yesterday afternoon's supper and went hypo early evening which was probably over treated. I also suspect the food was lower GI than expected. All this resulted in a BG in the teens this morning. At home I would have taken an early morning correction dose but no chance here. I asked to have my insulin early but ended up with having insulin earlier but the breakfast arriving even earlier. When it came to having my insulin I wanted to add a correction dose but could not do so as the GP has declared a maximum dose of Neutral which I have been on for days. The nurses and sisters seem terrified of this GP and do I could not have the correction dose. I swore at a low level by saying "I wish bl*"*y doctors who knowledge of Type I is approximately zero would stop bl**y interfering!". This particular doctor has also been dappling with the pain killers separately to the consultant reducing the the Amitriptyline. Bizarrely besides the maximum morning dose of Neutral I cannot change either dose of Isophane buti can change the evening Isophane! Bonkers or what?!

Hope to try my prosthetic for the first time since January later today.

Raining - I think the angels are crying for me!

Good morning. Another 7.6 for me. It's drizzling rather than rain but we are also forecast thunderstorms later.

Congratulations on your HS @Lisa65
Enjoy your baking day @eggyg those scones sound delicious
I hope your day gets better @MikeyBikey and your insulin dosage gets sorted.

Chores today now it is cooling down. At least the laundry basket is almost empty.
Have a good weekend folks and take care x

Morning all. 6.1.

We currently don’t have rain but it’s forecast along with thunder storms. But it said that yesterday too, and we had a mostly dry day and I got two lines of washing out and dried. I did water the garden last night as we’d neglected it whilst away, albeit for less than 48 hours.

Today is a cooking day, pinny and radio on! Middle daughter, eldest grandchild and youngest grandchild coming for tea. They’re off to sunny Spain next Wednesday so we won’t see them for a couple of weeks. I’m making lasagne, salad and garlic baguettes. I’m pretty rubbish at shaping them but I keep trying. I’ve even watched YouTube videos and mine still look like a knarly old dead tree trunk. They taste good though, and that’s all that matters. I’m also going to try a new recipe using courgettes, courgette, feta and thyme scones. Sounds interesting, but I don’t have any feta but I do have goats cheese, I’ll give it a go.

Have a super Saturday and hope you get enough rain for your gardens.
We have a special tin for doing baguettes, looks like corrugated iron common on outbuilding roofs. Scones sound good except the goats cheese yuck.

I had some strange readings so stopped testing. Decided to start again yesterday despite having a small slice of banana cake in a coffee shop. Yesterday's lowest 8.1 highest 12,1. I had crab salad in the evening and had a short walk afterwards. I woke early but didn't test til later and it was 8,7. Have since had Greek yoghurt, raspberries and a few walnuts. My hba1c has gone up after dropping one metformin ( 52) but nurse said stick with it. I'm still having bouts of tiredness from the low iron and don't know if that affects readings. With my luck someone will say it lowers them!

Morning all and 5.4 for me.

Not quite sure what's happening here but insulin requirements are dropping every day. No doubt I'll get it right just as it starts to rise again.

We were meant to be going to Masham Steam Rally today but the forecast has put us off. Tomorrow looks a little better.

Have a good day everyone.

6.0 on a thoroughly wet and gloomy Berkshire morning, and it's still raining. Woken at 04:41 by a torrential downpour hammering on the roofs (rooves?) of cars. Off to Bedford after lunch for a 60th Birthday garden party, but their forecast is worse than ours. I expect it'll be moved indoors.

About to settle down and watch the first match of the Lions series against Australia. I can still remember the last tour back in 2013 like it was yesterday (Lions won it). I have the DVD, too.

Congratulations to @Lisa65 on today’s HS and congratulations to @Colin g on yours yesterday.

Enjoy your Saturday, weather permitting.

Low iron won't affect readings from a blood glucose monitor as it is an enzyme reaction not relying on red blood cells.

6.2 on an overcast and still morning. The MET Office we'll have drizzle early afternoon. I don't mind that as I still can get a walk in later.

Been having involuntary movements this morning so i took a tab - my guess itll kick in soon.
Other than that my MH is good, a stable period. Calmed down a whole lot yesterday and today - long may it last.

My OH had a bad experience, with her friend, last night at the Tandoori in the West end to town and won't be going again.

Congratulations to @Lisa65 on today's HS, always a good feeling!

Afternoon all. A happy 4.9 for me earlier this wet day...

Good afternoon was 6.9 on waking this morning
Congrats @Lisa65 on the HS & @Colin g for yours yesterday

Light rain here today, (good for my tomatoes plus my wife’s herbs) I got rather wet but it was still a thoroughly enjoyable morning a the football exercise / wellness project I attend on Saturday mornings, although it’s still poorly attended those that attend really do get a lot out of it.

Mrs @goodybags and I went out to lunch yesterday in a pub near Stowe (Stowe behind Silverstone not in the Cotswolds)
then we went down to Bicester outlet village, I wanted some new trainers, I ended up actually ordering them on-line as there was nothing in the outlet shop suitable for my requirements, but my Wife got some new bags conveniently she never had her debit card and her contactless wasn’t working, so it was my treat,
one of the ones I bought by me as a overpriced (@£200) shopping bag 🙄
was corrected, apparently it is a “Tote Bag” it even says so on it
anyway we we had a very nice lunch and after 21 years of putting up with me I think she deserves a £200 shopping bag <3:rofl:

@MikeyBikey I’m saddened but TBH not surprised, to see you post that the medical team there still don’t really understand or help you to manage your diabetes the way you know works for you,
hopefully soon your out of there especially as you’ve been through so much recently :thankyou:

attached are a few pics, wife & I out to lunch yesterday, OK in that pic maybe I wasn't smiling, but to prove i do usually, In the same collage a picture of me a few days ago about to head out to work (also a few years ago me when I was quite fat)

other pics shows Mrs @goodybags new shopping (sorry ToteBag) she also purchased some from Longchamp & Coach

Have Superb Saturday Everyone
TC 😉
