Group 7-day waking average?

Thanks for the reminder that my whole life is now a museum piece! 😱
But that’s only because you’re a treasure!

A couple of years ago, while still at work, we took the key stage out to a museum. The one part we walked around had toys and books/annuals/manual typewriters etc. The children were laughing as another TA and myself were remembering our childhood.

Perhaps a basal test might shed light on the problem? If it were me I’d suspect too little basal.
Very possibly. I upped the basal a while ago and it was ok. What confuses me is that some days i'm absolutely fine, others i struggle to keep levels up, yesterday it was keeping levels down. No day is ever the same with diabetes.

Morning all and 7.2 for me.

Not sure what today will bring.

Currently in the process of setting my laptop up as a dual boot system W10 and Linux. My machine is not suitable for W11 but is more than capable of running the software I need. I just need a secure method of connecting to the outside world when support for 10 ends.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning was 6.1 on waking today
yesterday evening for my dinner had a spud-man sized jacket potato with cheese & chilli
I was going to only take half the tatty out the freezer, but as the 2 half’s were stuck frozen together thought why not try the whole thing, see firstly how it affects me, secondly if I could actually eat the whole spud (after all I’m eating smaller meals these days the Mounjaro effect)
so following eating that yesterday my BG (according to my Libra) took two and a half hours to come back into range
the last time I jabbed insulin was 20th June [edit that should've said May]
anyway thinking maybe GP was right - in what he was pushing me towards
maybe after 15 yrs of taking insulin (on top of oral meds) with the weight loss / improved fitness etc seeing the benefit, however
I’m still most days only eating 2 rather than 3 meals a day
so that could change possibly

Congrats on the HS @Bloden

Have a Wonderful Wednesday everyone
I won’t share a picture (it might scare people) but at my wife’s recommendation (she thinks it’s going to be a hot day) I’m out in shorts and a floral cotton traders shirt today

Morning all. A happy 4.8 for me this nice sunny morning...

At Queer Britain, where I volunteer, there’s a Gay Switchboard installation. It’s just a cream coloured rotary phone sitting quietly on a pedestal. Every 20 minutes it rings and visitors can answer it and hear recollections of various calls that came in to the helpline. They can also dial “out” to hear other reminiscences.
Well they could if they ever figured out how to use it!
The Youth look utterly perplexed by such a complicated bit of kit!

Morning all - well, it started off wall to wall blue and it's now wall to wall grey!

6.1 this morning. I'm happy enough with that as it's settled into 97% TIR.

Sorting lots of clothes out today, some going to charity shop... some to recycling... shortening a pair of new trousers for hubby and making chicken, mushroom and tarragon casserole - might as well harvest the tarrogaon whilst it's prolific in my herb trough. Might go to the local later on to meet friends.

Oh... are you starring in "back to the future" or was that last year?

Congratulations to @Bloden on your HS... it really is an achievement on Omnipod 5.

If I started on my childhood... when we had a loo at the bottom of the yard, a tin bath that came in and was put in front of the fire range, Mum washed with a posse tub, having a phone was unheard of and no TV. Auntie and Uncle still had gas lighting, you'd all think I was a museum exhibit!

Take care and have fun....

Evening @PattiEvans. I have a Samsung A56 and mine uses the side buttons for screenshots. It took me many attempts topppppppp get "the knack" of getting a result! I need to press simultaneously the (middle) volume down button and the (lower) off switch VERY quickly. No lingering. Then there is a not so short period of no response followed by the screen briefly flashing and leaving a screenshot menu bar on the bottom of the screen. This menu bar only lasts for a couple of seconds, then normal screen resumes.

I still can't do this with one hand, even though it looks theoretically possible. The phone is unbalanced and tries to fall out of that one hand!
This might sound stupid!

Since writing this late last night, I've been practicing, if only to prove to myself, that I (a mature adult, with too much time to spare) ought to be able to find a way of getting a screenshot using only one hand! I now can. But only with my left hand, I am sinistre! Although I can do certain things from a right-handed perspective, eg I hold a cricket bat as a right-hander (but can neither bowl nor throw with my right hand), my brain prefers me to do most things left-handed. I can't co-ordinate my right hand to do one-handed screenshots - and there are more important things to expend time on.

The consequence is that I normally hold my phone in my right hand and screen type with my left; now I have to transfer my phone to my left hand, to get that one-handed screenshot. This takes more time than just using both hands.

Well, just back from seeing two sheltered housing places in town & the most centrally located one that the social worker suggested is for over 60’s retirement people & the other is 55 or a bit younger for those with health issues but, they both told me that any sheltered housing place doesn’t deal directly with people & it’s only done through the housing executive so, I have to wait & meet them first & go through the points system etc. I can put down that lovely central retirement place as a preference but, it’s unlikely I’ll get it there. And the other place was just the HQ office I went to as they build apartment blocks all around the town & they told me of one block of flats very near me, just down the main road about 600/700m, that I didn’t know was sheltered housing. So, just sent text to the social worker to set up a meeting as soon as possible! The wheels of bureaucracy & red tape is slow! 🙄

Afternoon folks. A good start to the day at 7.2 this morning . Took SiL to the hairdressers for a wash and blow dry as she can't do it herself. Our bathroom is not big enough to get a chair and footstool plus both of us in there.
Officially melting after 2 hours deadheading and weeding. Didn't go out till after 3.30pm but it's still hot.

Congrats on your HS @Bloden
Everyone enjoy the rest of today. Hubby is making butter chicken curry tonight. Yummy :D

DOH... I just watched a YouTube on how to do it! I've been swiping from left to right.... should have been swiping right to left with my palm!!! What an idiot!!! It's so much easier on a Motorola, just touch the screen with 3 fingertips simultaneously!

Thanks for this. I have a Motorola and had no idea of how to do a screen shot.

Like so... it was awkward to take the photo. Had to ask J to take it and apparently he didn't knw about it either...
