Group 7-day waking average?

Morning, 5.5 for me.

I've had an influx of book donations from parents over the last few days. This is lovely of them, however I wish they would think a little more carefully about what they're donating. I spent 7 weeks over the summer working 10 hour days to ensure our library stock is completely relevant, suitable and up to date. I also know that parents often give donations to me because they can't find a charity to take them. Having to go through bags of very old, battered and unsuitable books - sometimes interspersed with random toys and stationery - is a little depressing and not the best use of my time. I feel so ungrateful saying that, but then I've just put my hands in a bag of mouldy revision guides from 2016...!

I hope your Tuesdays are more mould-free than mine has been so far!

5.4 for me on a grey and blustery Berkshire morning, although it has started to brighten up. Our eldest and his girlfriend arrived safely in Rhodes yesterday evening and posted a picture of themselves in what looked suspiciously like a fast food restaurant. Sampling the local cuisine, as usual.

My wife's suitcase is mostly packed for her trip to the USA but she's still making her mind up about what to take. She's being picked up at 05:30 tomorrow so she needs to have it all sorted tonight.

New stairs and landing carpet looks good, and we definitely picked the right colour to go with the freshly painted walls and ceilings. Our dining room carpet is next up for replacing - it's 23 years old - and we think we'll go with the same people as we're pleased with them and they're also a local independent.

Swim later, as usual on a Tuesday, and some grocery shopping.

Congrats @NickE on your HS this morning.

Whatever your plans, enjoy your day.

A 6.7 today for me, which I guess is better than being woken in the night several times by lows, but still, a slightly lower figure would be nice if the DF could manage it?

Already done a bit of gardening today to tidy up the front garden (well, when I say garden, it is a metre wide strip of land in front of the house before the pavement, the joys of new estates!)

Not much planned for today other than a visit to my parents later when I will hopefully be able to complete Dad’s tax return having gathered all the figures yesterday. Fully expecting Mum to be bad from all reports, but it is what it is.

@Gwynn - glad to see you back on this thread, hopefully your hip pain will go away, it must be quite miserable for you.

Congrats @NickE on your HS today!

Have a good Tuesday everyone!

t.i

Not much planned for the day today. Maybe head east to the V&A Storehouse. Ballet this evening.

Good to see you back @Gwynn

Edit: t.i is a 5.8 that I just didn’t press Shift on the keyboard for

Good morning folks. 9.6 today. Not surprised as we ate pizza at 10pm last night after several hours in A&E with SiL. Her leg started swelling up and hurting earlier in the evening. She rang 111 when her toes were turning purple then we drove straight to Pilgrim A&E at Boston. No time for dinner so we grabbed a quick sandwich before we left. Hence the pizza later. I did share mine with SiL and hubby had a smaller one to himself.
All ok this morning so I went to keep fit class this morning. BG dropped to 8.4 afterwards.

Congratulations on your HS @NickE
Sorry to hear you are not getting any help from NHS @Gwynn .
Hope your BG levels settle down @freesia

The sun is out so a bit of gardening and laundry before I go to craft club this afternoon. Take care everyone :D<3

Morning all - yes it is still morning and I've been up for hours.... well over 3 anyway, tidying up the house for the cleaner. Grey and boring, threatening rain but not yet doing it. Occasional bursts of sunshine...

5.2 this morning. I still haven't figured out how to take screenshots on this new Samsung 16a. If I hold down the two buttons on the side I either switch the speakers off or the phone off. If I do a palm swipe all I do is mess up the display. So I got J to take a photo and email it to me. There must be a better way!

Today I am looking forward to having a pedicure early afternoon... not much else. Leftover Gnocchi dish for dinner tonight, but it's a bit odd cos the Gnocchi had been in the freezer and disintegrated when cooked! Still, it's filling!

Congratulations to @NickE on your HS.

@Gwynn please see the GP and demand to have your hip Xrayed, if you need a replacement hip joint there's a long wait if it's anything like here and it is not going to get better on it's own! Meantime I have found a Chiropractor very helpful.

Have a lovely day folks...

I hope your SiL is ok.
Yes her leg is fine today. Still in a plaster cast but we are taking her to her local hospital on Friday for a follow-up appointment. Hopefully the cast can be removed and she can have a boot fitted.

Congrats on the HS @PattiEvans. I have a Samsung and, you've probably tried this, if you pull down the screen from the top where the internet/location/nfc etc are, there might be an icon for screenshots. As i say i have it on mine but hubby's Samsung doesn't.

9.1 when I made the call to the doctors this a.m. I finally got an appointment with a doctor after some messing about - ringing - taking pictures, then the doctor refusing to look at the pictures in case they we're offensive (not true in this case) followed by an actual appointment. The upshot was a steroid cream for a few days and a course of antibiotics. Also I also had to don a pair of shorts, so that the cream didn't rub off. It didn't but I still had it on my mind, so a pair was acquired. A bit chilly on the pins though.

I had support today and went over to the craft bar to meet my OH. They thought I was going to drink alcohol, but no drop passed by lips. Instead going for my usual - diet coke. My OH had two halves of a PA, over a period of an hour or so).

Congratulations go to @NickE and @PattiEvans on the HSs.

5.6 this morning another day of weeding the garden and planting some bits we have grown in the greenhouse hubby made a new planter out of decking boards for the strawberries its huge but ive bought rather a lot of plants so there's plenty of room for them now it took 6 x 50 litre bags of compost to fill it. now I have 10 large pots to fill that were housing the strawberries so its off to the garden centre tomorrow then I think were done buying this year, famous last words.

Congratulations on your HS @PattiEvans

Unfortunately it doesn't @freesia. I've been researching online and I think if I delve into accessibility I can programme it to do the same as my Motorola, where you just place 3 fingers on the screen. I'll try to sort it!

Aaaghh! What a day! I've struggled to keep my levels under 10 all day. Finally, before dinner, they came down to 7.7. Despite pre bolussing, since eating the graph shows a vertical time to 16 again. I'm getting very fed up now!
