Group 7-day waking average?

5.5 this morning, which has now turned bright and sunny after a rather dull and cloudy start.

Our youngest and his mates are safely back home after their trip to Snowdonia. He was shattered when he got back and turned in early, and there's no sign of him yet this morning. That driving experience will have been good for his confidence, bearing in mind that he's only gone beyond the local area once before. He's heading over to a friend's place in Basingstoke later, staying overnight, but that drive should be a doddle after the last couple of days.

Had my Diabetes Review yesterday and will check Patient Access for the results next week. Weighed in at 72kg, so I haven't lost or gained any weight since my last review, BP was fine, and no issues with my feet. DN happy with how things are, although we did have the usual chat about statins.

Wife's gone off shopping with a couple of friends and our eldest is at his girlfriend's in London, back sometime this afternoon. So, for the time being, it's just me so the kettle's going on and I'm going to settle down and read the newspaper in peace.

Have a good Saturday, and congrats on the HSs @PattiEvans & @Lanny

6.2 here, TiR 92% on a gorgeous morning, even the breeze has eased off.

First rosebuds are out - should be putting on a good show in a couple of months.

A quiet night without my lady-love, and lack of music. A quiet day on offer too, we'll have to make the best of it as we don't know for how long they'll last.

Congratulations @Lanny and @PattiEvans on your HSs.

Fantastic photos @eggyg , glad you've really enjoyed Harris.

@Wendal - my wife and I have had a couple of short breaks in the Cotswolds, staying in Broadway the first time and in a lovely B&B not far from there the second time. Broadway is lovely and worth a visit anyway, wherever you stay.

afternoon forum Friends was a rather high one this morning 10.1
yesterday I didn’t take insulin GP has recently been encouraging me to take less and less week by week, he is sure I can stop, currently I’m down to taking just 3 units (twice daily)
I might drop that to 2 units next week, yesterday evening I did have haddock & chips for dinner, I’m sure if I did agree to actually stop the insulin I would need to be ever-so careful on carbs, took 3 units this morning at breakfast time, currently 5.3 post doing the Saturday morning football fitness/MH session I attend these days, the program was really good today raised the activity and went through the alphabet A-Z but today was capital cities harder than you might think naming alphabetically capital cities at the same time as thinking about receiving & passing the ball on to a certain player.

I’m felling really good and far less anxious about many things at the moment, was expecting to speak to the union yesterday however they didn’t call me back, so will be hopefully receiving a phone call from them on Monday morning, as due to speak on the phone to work in the afternoon
Mrs @goodybags has spent the morning gardening and currently as I post am relaxing in the garden with a tea, she’s supposed to be also but is actually picking pests of her plants

Congrats  to HS producers @PattiEvans & @Lanny plus any others I’ve missed recently

Have a Super Smashing Saturday everyone 😎

It's worth checking out Travelzoo Country Hotels for bargain hotels. We stayed in the Malverns in a doggie friendly hotel for £92 instead of £171 a year or two back. We have also saved quite a lot on two river cruises through Travelzoo and nearly booked a sea cruise through them too.

Alternatively try Wowcher country breaks and Groupon.

Good afternoon everyone! BG this morning was 7.3 and TIR for the week 75%, it was a bit lower a few days ago so have to work on that.

I´ve just started seeing someone new and I am all giddy and distracted at the moment, so expect unconsistent posting 😳😉<3. As long as I do keep consistent in my diabetes management, all will be alright! Dating can add a few little challenges to that.

A very high for me 8.4 this morning. I’m afraid this was most likely due to the last piece of Bakewell Tart brought back from Bakewell after our photography course on Tuesday! Anyway, onwards and downwards a bit!

Been balancing revising and doing mock exams in readiness for my amateur radio exam on Tuesday along with dealing with stuff for my parents. They are still unsettled and Mum’s dementia causes more upset from time to time, although our last visit both of them were well and looking more like their normal selves. We’re having a break today and doing our own stuff for a change, nothing exciting other than a trip to the local farm shop for some bbq bits and pieces and one of their all day breakfasts 😉. The rest was washing, house cleaning and tidying which needed doing as we have been rushing around so much lately and not had a chance.

@rebrascora - take care of yourself, things will get better.

Congratulations @Lanny and @PattiEvans on your HSs!

Take care everyone!

very late today 5.2 this morning we have been out more gardening and just had dinner outside it was lovely, bit of a rant coming I had a replacement Libre coming, it was supposed to be delivered yesterday by Parcelforce well they didn't show up, tracking on the app changed last night saying delivery had been attempted and a card had been left, no card, and my parcel was back at the depot, I half expected them to try delivery today but had no email this morning but on checking the tracking it said parcel was being held, options, one deliver to post office,or re arrange in 2 days, or next day, no phone contact for Parcelforce just a bot, and your expected to pay, no option to complain either, so decided to opt for re delivery to post office which was £1 only to receive a message saying the window had closed, so ive emailed them no idea what there playing at sorry for the rant.

congrats on the HSs @PattiEvans & @Lanny

@Pam123 congrats on the HS

Sorry to read the rest of your email. Right run around... we have had similar but they have never charged us anything!

I did think it was odd the charging for re delivery its £1 to the post office £15 for next day and £5 for 2 days, regardless of the fact I apparently cant have it re delivered because that optics has timed out,I will have to see what they come back with next, My daughters boyfriend is a postman for Royal Mail which apparently has nothing to to with Parcelforce.

Forgot to mention earlier. Nearly had another Bang in the garden. Hubby found an unused shotgun cartridge in amongst the brambles. Not ours and no idea how long it has been there. Took it to local police station for safe disposal.

Off to bed now. Early start tomorrow

I live in Coventry and we sometimes get incidents of unexploded bombs being found when any construction is going on, but someone found a devise in his garden and cycled with it in a rucksack to the police station in the city centre near to where I worked so we were all evacuated until the bomb squad dealt with it. I can think of at least 4 occasions of that happening.

Good (very early) morning. Woke up at 4am with a cracking headache, from previous experience I know the best way to see it off is 2 paracetamol, a big glass of water and a cup of coffee. After it's gone I'll head back to bed for a bit more kip.
Was 6.6 on waking after a flatfish night (no chilli peanuts)
Happy Sunday to all.

02:41 BS 7.1.

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Just munching breakfast so, BS in the 11’s after DP. A second helping of what I had yesterday: heated another pouch of cauliflower/broc rice & reheated the other half of the beef mush; just added some extra oyster sauce & it tastes better! I’ve had cauliflower rice before but, could only stand it with curries as the bitterness is disguised! The addition of broccoli makes it a bit more palatable!

Oh yes! It’s been two weeks since I weighed myself, just before eating, & I’m finally back down to 90 kilos: was at 90.9 at the start of March before I stopped the Statins for 3 weeks due to the wrist injury & change of diet to compensate & gained 2kilos; now being back on the Statins & cut out the cholesterol lowering Benecol range, I’m at 90.4 this morning! A bit of a set back there but, back on target to losing weight very slowly & steadily! 🙂
