Might be a good idea to create a separate thread so more people could see it. @ColinUK might be interested. Even I could potentially attend, work permitting 🙂

Would also like to go to the Glasgow one, would be a long long journey but a great excuse to visit Scotland imo! Will have to pass this one because I already have another travel planned in that date.

It’s been a while, but we usually meet in a Wetherspoons on a Saturday about 11.30 ish before the lunch crowds. Have a bite to eat and maybe a drink or two, but mostly have a natter about everything and not just diabetes.
I thought May or June before the holiday season.
Any thoughts? All welcome new or old.

I was also thinking about a Newcastle/Leeds/ Manchester one in the future too. I’m lucky that I can get to most places very easily by train.

Hello everyone. I'd come along. Live in Inverclyde. Was in Jubilee earlier this week for other matters, only to be also told that I have diabetes! So, here I am on the site reading as much as I can.

They would be great. If anyone wants to meet at Central Station first, I should be there at 11.15, if my train is on time.

That would be great. I’ll set up a group DM a week or so before and we can exchange numbers and I’ll then set up a WhatsApp group. Easier to access than the forum messages.
 
I am currently modelling my Aqua Scape with layers of neoprene for sand; some representative samples of hardscape, with cardboard cut-outs to represent the plants. So, by the time of the meet, I will be looking for some very specific plants. Since there are several specialist shops within about an hour of the pub, I may very well turn up for a short time.

I'll be on the train before yours @eggyg arriving at 10:59. £7 cheaper! Quite how they work out the fares I will never know. I may well poke about the station until your train comes in so look out for a little old bearded bloke!

I will be catching the 15:38 back to Preston so will be able to keep you company for a bit.

Great stuff. @gll me and you could meet right in front of the info boards. I haven’t quite got a beard but I’m also little and old! :rofl:

OK... mind you, just tried to book my tickets and the Avanti website seems to be broken. Tempted to say it's a bit like their trains. Will try later.

I used Trainline it was simple ( which is great for a Luddite like me) and I store the tickets in my Apple wallet.
