Freezes fine. I typically divide it up into batches of 6 slices each and store them in the freezer in zipped sandwich bags. Each bag is breakfast for two days.

Her recipe on bluesky today is one I will do at the weekend. I went to the coast yesterday ( less than 20 miles away) and bought some wild sea bass. She has a recipe effectively for potato salad. At this time of the year I like Majorcan new potatoes. I will reduce the number of new potatoes, use yoghurt not buttermilk and as greenery watercress. I live in a part of the country that heaves with asparagus at this time of the year. I may braise some fennel as a side dish.

I put together my wet floor mop today and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors. Normally I'm useless at DIY but this was easy. My arthritis had got to the stage where I couldn't stand for long or kneel to get under the very heavy table. Sitting on a chair or the edge of the bath, and using the flexible head, the whole job was done pain free in 15 minutes! Joy!!! This afternoon I'm off to the garden centre to organise my bedding plants and hanging baskets. I still see the same person who did all my plants when I moved here 26 years ago.
Bit of breakfast this morning double cream chives salt and pepper scrambled eggs with honey and mustard sausages smoked back bacon button mushrooms and half a vine tomato all sourced from the local farm shop
