I've had the de-fib 4 years and 2 months almost exactly. I'd had issues before that. Genetic heart problem, and a silent heat attach, both only discovered 5 years ago.

Sorry to see this @Ralph-YK , I wish you a speedy recovery. Hospital food looks yuk!! Take good care xx

Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery

I am so glad you have the de-fib.

Sorry to see this Ralph :( hope you are feeling better soon and get home to comforts ASAP
xx

Big hugs Ralph. I hope you get home soon xx

Hoping you get home soon, so pleased that you had the dib fitting before. As for hospital food the best thing my dad could say was it was just about edible, but there were many days when we couldn't actually work out what it was he was eating, we made a game out of guessing before looking at the menu sheet. Mum used to take him in a picnic as she was taking her own food in for a lunchtime as the canteen was so expensive she could afford to eat that everyday.

Just seen consultant. Looks like I had an incident of a Ventricular tachycardia. That's what I'm particularly at risk of, and my defib is programmed for.
Keeping a check on me. Could be out on Monday.

Thank god for the defib! Hope you're recovering well.

Feel normal for me.
Thanks for the good wishes everyone.

What a Godsend the defib proved to be Ralph, have a relaxing weekend and hopefully let you home on Monday.

I'm glad you had a defib in place then. 🙂 Hope you're back to (your) normal before too long. 🙂

Had tea about 5:15pm ish. BG at 8:35pm 8.3.

I've been told I am getting discharged today. Usual hanging around though.

Hoping you back to normal soon, hospital can be tedious....

Home.
Some corned beef in the fridge, some tins of tuna, some Marcel somewhere and a tomatoes that I could have for tea. No bread, potatoes or rice in the house though.
