Before Tea/Evening Meal

And it's a 6.7 for me this fine evening.

a respectable 6.0 tonight which was a relief

5.9 this evening

A dreadful 13.3 this evening. I know the cause. Someone gave me some leftover Christmas pudding and so for lunch I had 2 - 3oz cheese with cherry tomatoes (and a dah of balsamic) before the pudding with some cream I brought as a Christmas treat to go with berries. It all looked good for a few hours before a VTO to the mid-teens and very gradually dropped back. The towards the end of my jab I had a blow back and lost an unknown percentage! :( After 15 minutes it had dropped to 11.9 and is still falling. Will watch and wait before eating anything. With last night's Phantom Pain, feeling jaded all day and now this I am not a happy bunny (miserable bunny emoji).

Nice 5.1 for me. After a bag of crisps in a coffee shop and a bit of a walk around Leamington Spa.

And it is a 5.3 for me this fine evening....

6.2 this evening, normally I have a steep drop in the afternoon after work, but today it's been more of a gradual coast downhill.
Feeling very tired and still have three more days of this run of shifts to go (I am doing extra because of my job share buddy being off sick)

5.4 after taking the dog out.

So I figured out a way to get my BGs on a classic analog watch face. You know the “a broken watch tells the correct time twice a day?” Well I was fed up of my BGs obscured by the sweeping hands at certain times.

I managed to get my BG on my smartwatch (via a complication through GlucoDataHandler) but what I like about it on pressing the numbers it will speak the reading out although even when the hands obscure the reading I can usually see it (even through my dodgy eye)

I like to glance & go? I did try spoken readings on my phone for 15 minutes. It drove me up the wall. I have the option on my watch. I might check it out. If it’s only on command? Even better.

I think spoken commands (unless on demand would drive me even madder than I already am)
but the ability to tap and get my current BS and the trend spoken to me is a nice to have feature

A 9.1 this evening. It climbed by about 2 around 5:00 probably as the result of a liver dump from the pain kicking in again

I’ve just had a Quick Look at this. Sounds great for visual impairment. Am I right in thinking this app works via a connection as a follower using LibreLinkUp. Then sends to the watch. Would this need a data or WiFi connection on the phone? (This is what I found on Play.)

@Satan’s little helper ,yep that’s the app I find GlucoDataHandler quite easy to use

It just connects between your phone /smartwatch using whatever connection you usually connect the two with
for me they usually Bluetooth (TBH I’m surprised my phone actually handles all it’s different Bluetooth connections so well) I just looked in my mobile and currently it’s set up to:

the Libra sensor
my smartwatch
Hearing Aids
infotainment screen in my car

Air Pods / a Bluetooth speaker and both TV’s (although these 3 all require me to actually click on each time alliw in the Bluetooth settings

In GlucoDataHandler (on your phone) there’s some easy to customise alert possibilities you can play around with.
I’ve now personally switched off all the Libra alerts from both LibraLink & Link up (they did my head)
especially the ones that were popping up unnecessary and couldn’t be silenced bleeping unexpectedly into my hearing aids 🙄

all my CGM related alerts now come from GDH
I use the going low as my “remember it’s 5 to drive alert” (but obviously still FP test on BGM when driving)
then the extreme low I have set as hypo prevention
There’s also high and extreme high alerts
Plus
falling / rising fast alerts
the alert tones are all customisable and can be accompanied by vibrations also and colour variable widgets on your locked screen of the phone, this will be replicated by the same colours of your Glucose reading displayed on the smartwatch complication (which is pretty clever I think)

there’s also alerts in the GDH watch app but I haven’t quite sussed out customisation of that yetthat one yet,
I’m a bit crap with technology these days, PLUS currently poor vision on detailed things (in my right eye)
still ive got my eve surgery today, so looking forward to (once I’ve got full vision in both eyes) maybe I can play around with various apps in the watch more than I have recently
I’ve still not even set up google wallet in my watch (even though I claim to work in the world of Fin-Tech)

there’s a GDH Facebook group, that another forum member told me about
also LibraGeeks (if you wernt aware)
both can be a good source of information regarding setting up to get the info on your watch .. etc

I’ve got about 6 devices set up on my phone including Libre & watch. I know what you mean about the Libre alarms. I turned mine off & just have the Juggluco app alerts. The watch will just vibrate. Best wishes with your eye surgery.
