Omg. I am. So maybe they gave me the wrong device?I thought you were going to be using Novolin mixed insulin @Tuesday ? That’s made by NovoNordisk not Sanofi so would use a Novopen.
ThanksHere’s the guide on how to use that pen

Does anyone know the spacing between meals to take an injection? I have been unable to eat anything before noon for maybe 30 years now. Not just due to the 'runs'. I'm not sure why. It's complete nausea before noon.
So id eat at noon then at 5? That seems too close together.
I asked the pharmacist but he wasn't able to answer that.
I think because maybe he couldn't fathom the idea of eating only twice? Or it's just not a definite thing?
Idk. It might be OK because I don't think I can eat as early as 5 anyway if I had to eat at noon too.
If I ever get to have any my doses are 60 before breakfast and 55 before supper. No titration or number goal instructions. So I'm going by memory and an article I found. Which says 1 unit increase daily of the appropriate dose to reach 4 to 7. And if more than 2 hypos in 1 week or a night hypo then no increases.
Does this sound right?
Nothing. No guidance.Do you not have any educational leaflets? Something like this, for example:
Guidelines for adjusting twice-daily insulin therapy -

So noon and 8 at night.Mixed insulins are supposed to be taken 8-12 hours apart, ie before breakfast and before evening meal. This is due to the way the two insulins in them work.
So noon and 8 at night.
I eat at 5.If that’s when you eat, yes, but they need to be taken at meal times.
You can’t really eat carbs at noon and 5 on mixed insulin if you want good bgs. That’s the drawback of it. You have to eat fixed amounts at fixed times. You could eat something low carb at 5 maybe, or eat at 5 if you moved the other meal earlier than noon but really it’s not designed to be taken at noon it’s designed to be taken earlier that that, at breakfast time then with your evening meal.I eat at 5.
But since i have to eat at noon then 5s too early so to time it 8 hours apart then it has to be noon and 8.
Unable to eat before noon for many many years. And now I dont have funding. Plus the runs issue I described earlier. You can’t really eat carbs at noon and 5 on mixed insulin if you want good bgs. I will be able to start in the morning. I have a rule for myself that I never start a new med at night. It's not exactly new but new recently anyway. It sounds like it. If you look at your insulin cartridges, you’ll see the name of the manufacturer. Get the right pen as soon as you can so you can start taking your insulin. High blood sugars can make you feel rough and really contribute to mental and emotional problems.
