...said, blood in your poo doesn't immediately mean bowel cancer. If you did have a positive FIT test you will have been referred for a colonoscopy under the 'two week wait' cancer referral pathway but that doesn't automatically indicate you have cancer. I have inflammatory bowel disease and...

    camera up the bum

I've had a colonoscopy - or rather several. It turned out that I was suffering from Ulcerative Colitis (UC), almost 20 yrs ago, which was creating blood in my poo. Once diagnosed it meant tablets for the rest of my life and a yearly colonoscopy. So I altered my lifestyle and diet, with an...

    camera up the bum

...they are absolutely right to do exploratory tests first to look for those things. I can really understand you being anxious about the colonoscopy and from what I have read of people's experience here, the preparation for the procedure that you do at home (ie cleaning out your system) is the...

    Reoccurring problem with Rybelsus 7mg

...to gastroenterology and the consultant advised to come off it. If that didn't work he thought I had severe ibs. I was told I'd need a colonoscopy and endoscopy also. But since coming off metformin I have been so much better so symptoms and can finally go to work, which it was taking over my...

    Cortisone injection and HCL

Thanks @Geniekeepcalm . I had not thought of using Temp Target during a procedure, partly because I know that my levels are more likely to rise, but that would take out the basal corrections. Another very useful tip.

    Cortisone injection and HCL

Hi @SB2015 . Glad Hcl worked so well. Its also great for me and use of temporary target for fasting medical purposes has been so useful. Used when had colonoscopy and also last night for early ultrasound. Great to know minimal chance of hypos!

    Help with metformin

Welcome to the forum Many do suffer problems initially but it usually settles down within a few weeks and we normally advise people to go back to their GP and ask for an alternative if it doesn't. Certainly it is not something you should put up with for months on end, some people just cannot...

    Help with metformin

...night. I have been seen by gastroenterology and he seems to think it's either metformin or IBS. I'm due to have a double endoscopy and colonoscopy just to rule out crohns but he's pretty sure it's medication. I've now changed to 7mg rybelsus, 40mg of glipizide, and 5 mg of alogliptin a day...

    recently diagnosed

I think that need investigation as it doesn't sound right that you should be getting a feeling that impinges on walking. Have you had any tests, ultrasound or CT or colonoscopy.

Morning all and 5.8 for me. Back in the CGM gang, must have had a sensor with dodgy Bluetooth. Got a letter for a pre colonoscopy appointment. The joy of preparation for the procedure to look forward to. It's bright and sunny. That's more like it. Have a good day everyone.

This makes me hesitant to try anything that a) I can't stop immediately should I have a reaction, b) already has recorded bowel...

Morning 5.4 today, nothing much planned might do some knitting after work. @Pattidevans - thank you for asking about hubby’s colonoscopy, no polyps were found, all good fine, some biopsies were taken, but he is feeling a lot calmer now.
