I had the first cortisone injection since being on HCL.

Not a massive dose (for trigger finger) but previously these had caused me to have to do a lot of work, doubling doses of basal and bolus, in order to keep on target. I was reminded by the physio that the injection would impact my levels and I was interested to see what HCL did. Again it has come up trumps. Hermione has had a bit of a strop and wanted a BG a couple of times, which involved a lot less than I would have had to do before. I am sat at 7.1 before bed and confident that the system will sort things out over night. Pleased and surprised.

I know that I am a bit of an advocate for HCL but definitely finding that this is working for me and successfully dealing with some of the more difficult situations.

Hope the steroid injection doesn't cause too much havoc with your blood sugars. @SB2015, what's HCL?

Hybrid closed loop! My brain definitely works better in the mornings!

Thanks Anna
Acronyms can be very irritating.

They can be but I'm also guilty of them too. 😉

Hi @SB2015 . Glad Hcl worked so well. Its also great for me and use of temporary target for fasting medical purposes has been so useful. Used when had colonoscopy and also last night for early ultrasound. Great to know minimal chance of hypos!

Thanks @Geniekeepcalm . I had not thought of using Temp Target during a procedure, partly because I know that my levels are more likely to rise, but that would take out the basal corrections. Another very useful tip.
