I hope the doctor, nurses, and diabetes specialist will all take note and remember what can be acheived by someone who really puts their mind to it and makes an effort to learn about diabetes and how to manage it instead of just dosing themselves up (and that they'll send the next person they see with diabetes in this direction ... ).

Thanks Vince. You are a great example that it can be done with strong determination and I am hoping that my next HbA1c would be a great news. Have lots nearly 23kgs and hoping to shed some more. Once again congratulations on your great achievement.

Perhaps you could go in and tell the GPs and nurses how you managed it all.
That would certainly benefit others and them. I did this and then produced a signposting sheet for the nurses to give to other patients at their Diabetes checks. It encouraged a few to access the support available outside the surgery as well as saving the surgery some time.
