Great @Maz2
I eat a lot of fish also mainly smoked salmon or salmon fillets, tinned tuna also a lot of cheese.
Smoked Salmon because it is easy.
Always butter and I was having full fat milk.
I was amazed at my cholesterol level also seeing as I eat 1/2 a cow each week lol but that is what it is. At one time my lever was 8.
Quitting smoking and starting to Vape also helped that issue dramatically.
I do take a statin each day for that but I am going to come off that also.
I am fed up with carting pills around the world whenever I go anywhere to be honest.
My grandfather was a butcher and as a kid in the 50's we always had plenty of meat so I guess my metabolism has become used to it.
Thanks Vince. I am trying to stick to the Med diet where possible but am a cheese lover. I suppose smoking would not help so well done for quitting. What a great achievement by you.

Carbs actually affect Cholesterol more than fat. In fact, dietary fat has very little effect at all. It's a myth. There has been lots of research done in America that proves this.

Mark ....well done you for resolving your diabetes. I just saw your status. Are you sticking to LCHF diet as well?

Yes. Accept for Christmas, when I ate what I wanted for a week. Back on the bandwagon now. Interestingly, I only tested my waking BG during that week & I was always within normal range (below 6mmol/l). So I think my insulin resistance has improved. Whatever I eat I never go into double figures now like I used to when first diagnosed. I'm not strictly low carb now, I have relaxed things a bit & still doing well.🙂

So glad to hear this Mark. Well done you. Keep up the good work.

Cracking result Vince, really pleased for you! All that factory food did you good!

Well done Vince - inspirational!

You should maybe consider editing your signature:
'I want to beat this thing' to 'I have beaten this thing'

Remarkable achievement. Gives hope to a lot of type 2’s. I wonder if your lucky cat had a hand in this lol!
Keep up the good work .

Good for you Vince, well done!
