Does anyone here have any experience of a fungal nail, and treatment?
I have a fungal nail and my dr told me that there is no treatment he can give me (the pain on treatments don't work and the medication is too risky) so recommended laser treatment, which he told me was £40 and that I would probably only need 1 session, 3 at most. I had my first session yesterday but it was £66 and they have told me I will need at least 7 out of the 10 recommended sessions, something I simply cannot afford. Also it was SO painful! I only have 1 fungal nail but they treat all 10 nails, and go over them 3 times each, agony. Usually I have a high pain threshold but this is a burn rather than a pain and it was just awful.
I was wondering whether it would be worth seeing a chiropodist or someone else? Is there anyone I could get referred to on the NHS due to having diabetes?
