Group 7-day waking average?

Odd day yesterday - a series of travels around London for different appointments (not all medical) and a lot of steps. This was coupled with carbs at unusual times. The resulting graph was a profile of a mountain range. After arrival home later than usual we had a modest meal. My blood sugar was high, then low. Took an insulin adjustment then, later, some glucose. The end result? 5.9 this morning and the flattest graph yet.

Have a good day!

Nick

How about for a bit of fun if people who test in the mornings post their waking levels? I think it would be interesting to see what the average works out at after a week 🙂

I'll start with mine - I was 6.0 when I woke up this morning 🙂

(please don't let me be the only person to enter one! 😉)
8.1 this morning and 7 day average at 5.9.
Yesterday afternoon was the U3A Walk and Picnic along the River Irwell in Burrs Country Park. A pleasant event but the 8.1 is the afterglow of that. A protein breakfast, cheese omelette with fresh tomato from the garden, is in order.

6.1, and 8.4 after a pee. The weather today is a little more manageable with a lot of cloud cover. The breeze is slight and quite cool.

My brother is coming over today after visiting family in Clitheroe, a lot better to drive over then coming direct from the north-east coast in one drive. I haven't seen him since last summer although we speak, often, on the phone.

I had a hypo yesterday evening lasting 45min, it was a real bugger to shift - it took 9 JBs and a couple of Biscuits, it was just dropping past 3.2 heading down. I'd had a smoothie for a late tea with Strawberries, avocado, courgette, spinach & mint. I took 5u for it - evidently too much.

Congratulations @Grannylorraine on this mornings HS.

Have a good day folks and remember to start safe.

Afternoon all. It was a 4.6 for me earlier this morning.

Have a good rest of the day folks and stay well....

Good afternoon folks. 8.1 this morning. Probably due to eating late yesterday. Must try and be more organised so we finish tasks earlier in the garden. Unfortunately we are both guilty of saying just another 5 minutes, which stretches to half an hour or more.

Congratulations on your HS @gran̈nylorraine

Our neighbours have just got a new dog. A. KC Cavalier. He is still a puppy. Company for the older one they already have. They are both lovely if a little over excitable.
Have a good Tuesday everybody and take care x

5.1 this morning and half a day wasted because the NHS cant get anything right, hubby had his telephone consultation this morning to see how he went on with the tablets before issuing another months supply, all is well as he had no side effects, then the nurse said you haven't had your blood done ?, hubby replied know body said I need anymore bloods , she replied you need them before we can issue you a new months supply and said you should have been told, she said can you come up to the hospital now and I will leave you a couple of blood forms now at reception. one for now and one for next time, so off we go, gets to oncology told the receptionist that Sharon had left 2 blood forms for him. surprise surprise they could find any so told him to go to haematology.they might be there, nope not there told to go back to oncology, we went back again the dozy receptionist had no idea and said there was know body called Sharon there, by this stage over an hour they said they would email someone can't remember who, then another nurse came up to the desk asking what the problem was, she said there was known called Sharon then lo and behold Sharon appeared, we knew her as she was involved when he was first diagnosed, she came up to us remarked on how well he looked and thanks him for coming up to get his bloods done as he only has 5 days of tablets left. He said well I would if I had the forms, the silly mare had put them in an envelope to post, anyway we then has another hour waiting to get them done. next month he is going to get them done at thee doctors and book in advance far less stress. rant over

But I think a cleg has got me this time and, as usual, I’ve got a reaction. Woke up this morning and found it’s all bubbled up
Ouch. I used to get that all the time with mosquitoes, fortunately it's got milder as I get older. My sympathies for the pain and also the mess when it bursts.
Look away now if you’re squeamish. This is small to what it could get to, I’ve had some absolute whoppers!
The worst I ever had was on Ascension Island - lots of vicious mozzies, my legs looked like bubble wrap. Hope the meds sort you out ASAP.
OMG they are horrible, I remember getting bitten on my knuckle and my hand came up like a balloon.
That happened to me in Belgium. It was a business trip in a quality hotel so don't think it could have been a horsefly. Maybe an ordinary mozzie hitting just the wrong spot?
Today's victory, a small one, managed to use my backpack to carry everything (including the kitchen sink if i could) to the communal dining room. Not a big victory but you have to remember that I also use a frame, so it's a task for me.
That's fab, well done. I move my paraphernalia in a tote bag or a Lidl polypropylene carrier when I'm going to sit downstairs for a few hours, but then I don't use any mobility aids indoors.

Lots of love as always extra special wishes to anybody on their own or struggling
Love gail

Thank you, I always appreciate your generous messages here. Same to you xxx

5.2 today, plans are to do some more crotchet, ironing and seeing mum, where I will probably also do some crotchet.
Lol. There's always room for a little more crochet. Daughter and I are planning to do some in Scotland as we're trying to have a week of minimal screen time.

Sorry to hear you've been messed about. I had something similar with a urine test for ketones when first diagnosed. Communication seems to just not work at all. Hope the rest of the day is less stressful.

9.7 for me, glad to be back in single figures again. Tried eating a few spoonfuls of sandwich filler to see if I could arrest the DP but it actually went up instead gah. I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens.

Good afternoon - I don't know how I seem to miss posting on a morning these days. I wrote a long post just now and lost it. Had a lovely day yesterday with lunch out with J and then shopping in various places, but not buying a lot except 2 new pairs of Jeans in M&S for J with my 20% off voucher. We failed to spend a £40 garden voucher that we were given for our 40th wedding anniversary as we couldn't agree on what to spend it. We have now agreed to replace the water feature that never really fulfilled the promise of tinkling noise or jetting spouts and has now stopped doing anything at all, but unfortunately what we want - something like this only taller, seems to be out of stock everywhere. Never mind.

5.9 this morning and this aftrnoon I had my long awaited eye test. Apparently all that's wrong is a weak muscle for which I have been given exercises. J is currently putting up UV film to stop the bright light from the office window that's been causing the aural migraines.

Anyway it's a dull old day here.... but no matter.... it's warm enough

Congrats @Grannylorraine on your HS.

Have a good one all...

Pardon me for joining in - I needed some relaxation - so here I am!
Anyway, I ran out of Metformin on Friday so I've survived the weekend without - not that I noticed in myself.
At least, I didn't notice until I realised that my morning reading of 5.8 yesterday and 6.9 today were well up on average.
So - my more usual morning reading is 5.3 - which also happens to be my average for the week.

Just a quick post while you lot are in my head! A right Little Miss Numpty I am today! 03:24 BS 3.7 but, felt fine, mint humbug in bed & after 04:47 BS 4.9 but, not unduly worried as libre needs to catch up & just finished sucking, as fast as I could, the humbug: just DID NOT fancy the quicker, sickly sweet marshmallow; the humbug tasted sweeter than usual too! Then, I had some chocolate & the hypo hunger struck & I ate the rest of the bag of buttons, about 100g, as I couldn’t stop myself: what’s that ad tag-line?; once you pop, you can’t stop! 😳 Then, I took my pills: like to take them, especially the allergy pills, as soon as I get up in the summer & I vaguely remember thinking they’re especially bitter this morning! Then, just now when having a VERY VERY LATE breakfast & taking the bag into the kitchen with insulin etc in, not carrying it in my pocket anymore, I noticed that there was 1 short blood pressure pill as I couldn’t quite remember if I took my pills this morning, sometimes I forget, in doing a pill count & there was an extra statin pill! 😱 Little Miss Numpty must have taken 2 uncoated BP pills this morning in the dim hall light through the open door of the bedroom, deploying anti heat measures, instead of the statin pill! o_O No wonder I’ve been feeling a bit off today & couldn’t put my finger on it: a bit lightheaded when getting up & moving around; not faint exactly nor dizzy but, definitely a bit off! Must be the extra BP pills! It’s the only uncoated pill as the rest are: after gagging & choking on the taste of uncoated pills sometime ago I asked the chemist to always give me coated pills & they do but, BP are uncoated, apparently! That’s why the pills tasted more bitter this morning as there were 2 BP pills! o_O:hello:Hitting My Head emoji! 😳

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m watching videos loads of times on the first round of cdrama episodes on the first day yesterday: 5 episodes released on day 1; 2 every day this week is the schedule after that! Don’t know what the schedule is next week? I’ve only watched 3.5 episodes so far yesterday as it takes me longer on round 1 as I rewind & rewind, as I’m watching, to match hearing the dialogue with the subtitles: I don’t REALLY need the subtitles now & I just notice the differences between the two & rate how good they are: they have improved a LOT especially, as this cdrama is on a western platform; I would say they’re the best I’ve seen yet! There will always be differences & things that just don’t translate well so, the closest English expressions are used instead in the subtitles that are not what was said but, the context is right! Another ad tag-line I’m loving it! 😛<3
