Group 7-day waking average?

3 point something.

Last night I was went to A&E for a torrid time, with a suspected stroke with complications.
Flitting between A&E, Casualty and a CT Scanner for a few hours, missing meal and panicking about low blood sugars.
It turned out that a hypo at 4am led to a mini-stroke and the low sodium added to the neurological mix - the doctors weren't sure about the low sodium being a factor(?).
I found a tuna sandwich later on to steady myself as to not add it to the heady mix.

Fine now on strong aspirin and a new diabetic regime to follow. Keeping the morning basal the same; I am to stop the evening basal altogether and reduce the daytime bolussing by 1u-2u per meal - I can see having high BGs for a while until I can further tweak my diet; at least it should be an abrupt end to hypos' for the time being.

It was warm coming out of the 'ospital, it was lovely and air-conditioned inside which was just as well as there wasn't much in the way of a breeze when we opened the winders.

Have a good and healthy day wherever it takes you.

Congratulations @MikeyBikey on todays surprise HS, and great to hear from you again on here.

Well Evita is nothing short of revolutionary!

Loved, loved, loved it! So much so that during the interval we booked to see it again!

All of cast are hugely talented and Rachel Zegler is excellent. The balcony scene makes perfect sense in this production and had the entire audience enraptured throughout.

If you’re in any way considering going to see it then do.

I must be insane getting up so early when I don't have work, but it's so much more pleasant with no people around! It was a bit chilly when we went out, which was a refreshing change after the recent muggy weather. We saw deer, a fox and lots of birds, as well as sheep and lambs in the field (she is a bit too interested in the sheep for my liking, but she's always on the lead). There was a little tent tucked away at the back of the beach, so I guess someone was having a sneaky wild camp. I hope they had a good sleeping bag, because it went down to 10 degrees last night.
Camping on a beech sends chills down my spine, many years ago we were camping with some friends and the night before we got the early ferry back from Dieppe we decided to camp on the beech but when we went to pitch the tent just as it was getting dark the whole beech was heaving with sand hoppers. NO way hose, we slept in the car.

Good evening lovely people.
It was an 8.1 for me this morning, bit high.

Today was great fun. Colour run at school and yes I can still run! For about a minute!
Everyone covered in paint powder, lots of smiles and happiness from 7yo and friends.

Good evening folks. Posting late today. Started the day with 8.8.
Showers yesterday were most welcome. As the weather was a bit cooler decided to make Tayberry jelly as I had already extracted the juice.
Bought more plants this morning visiting a new garden centre
and did some food shopping. By the time we got home and sorted out chicken noodle soup for lunch at 2pm my BG had dropped to 3.8. Felt quite rough and shaky so had 2 jbs till soup was ready.
Congrats on your HS @MikeyBikey and welcome back!
You definitely sound ready for a holiday @Eternal422 .I hope a few weeks on the canals relaxing restore your mental reserves. Try not to stress about your parents situation while you are away. Easier said than done, I know.
As promised photos of the Tayberry jelly. Not labelled yet. The small jars will go in hampers for the family at Christmas. Take care everyone x

Oh my goodness what a night you had. I hope that you are feeling better now. You must be exhausted. Take care and get plenty of rest.

Morning mixed news on the diabetes front as my latest hBa1c was 51 which was disappointing as my indicative prediction on the Libre was 41 and I was at least expecting to be in 40s.
I know my level of control could be improved but I want to live as normal life as possible.
But good news is all my other results were within the normal range and I woke up with a 5.2.
I went low before bed so 3 glucose tablets and which brought it up and then down nicely.
Must clean my reader as it looks in a right state as I have been using it a lot whilst moving bricks and weeding in garden and see it is really “ soiled” so forgive me.
WFH today and nice day yesterday with a lunch out at a nice Tea Room and a cake or two.
Enjoy.

@Wendal a star for your HS and a :care: for your A1c result.
After a low day I knocked a unit off my basal, but shouldn't have because I hovered around 7 all night and woke up with a 6.5.

Just had another early walk with doggo, in the woods this time.

Good morning! Haven't posted in ages as had a hospital admission that lasted over four months. 😉 Am in Rehab where this i have had first HS this year. Just hope I escape insulin reducing nurse! :(
Morning Mikey congrats on HS but far more importantly welcome back after your stay in hospital.
It is really good to get your rehab underway and truly hope it you have changed a corner for the better.

Thanks Lisa and I know what I need to do but have slipped into some bad habits lately but it is what it is.We have been out with our dogs but they don’t go far and must admit I grew up near the coast and wish I was closer to the Sea like yourself but we are about 40 mikes away and even further from any nice bits.

Morning

4.2 with no real plans today. I might do some exercise from my body coach app before it gets warmer, predicted to be 27/28 today. Yesterday was 24, dry and sunny which is just right as warm enough to sit out but not too hot for household chores.

@Wendal - congratulations on your HS today. Sorry to hear your HbA1c was higher than you were expecting.

It's the Solent so I don't count it as proper sea because of the IOW stuck in the middle. I am from Hastings originally so I've always lived close to the sea.

Good morning?Sadly spoilt by a 12.9 this morning. I had a hypo yesterday evening and it was overtreated. It's a good thing I refused the second glucose gel! In fact there was no need for the first ad I had had some biscuits and a sandwich and was on a upward trend! :(

I understand as my nearest bit of coast is Dee estuary so not “proper beaches”.
Don’t know your part of your world apart from a day out Yachting on the Solent and a few trips to New Forest when I lived in Basingstoke.

Morning all. 5.4 and dropping after a day in target yesterday, dropping to 4 at bedtime so i had a spoonful of peanut butter, followed by a sudden spike to 16 around 2am and 4u correction needed. I think its DP causing the spikes at that time but i'm not sure what to do as the basal seems to be keeping me steady in the day.

Today i need to go and see mum as she's still in hospital then i'm coming home to read my book, possibly have a nap, i'm really tired today. Washing machine is on as its going to be a nice day again, 24°.

Congrats on the HS and result @Wendal. I, too, wish i lived by the sea. I just find it calming walking along a beach or sitting listening to the waves.

@silver minion i've never tried tayberry. What sort of flavour does it have?

Have a good day everyone.
