good idea to get a GAD test and perhaps request the other two antibodies to be done at the same time.Hi
I posted on here a few months ago, as due to my low Fasting Insulin Levels and slightly high Fasting Blood Sugar, I was worried I could have or could soon develop LADA / T1. I was told by nearly all of you who responded, that it's very unlikely I have T1 particularly.
Well, now I am worried again. I have now received my C-Peptide (done privately) results. Their range was 0.73 - 4.37 ng/mL and my result was shown as LOW, as I have a level of 0.57 ng/mL
So, I have:
1. Low Fasting Insulin - less than 2
2. Slightly high fasting BS - 5.68 mmol + higher than normal when I use my own Glucometer. 2 hrs after a meal is in the range, although has gone up.
3. Low C-Peptide - 0.57 ng/mL (0.73-4.37)
4. Normal HbA1C - 34 mmol
I had a Random BS test on Friday, so I await that result
I am thinking of having a GAD test too.
Anybody know anything about my results?
Thanks
AJ
